¹The beginning of the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

¹ابتدای انجیل عیسی مسیح پسر خدا:

²As it is written in the prophets, “Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you. Malachi 3:1

²در کتاب اشعیای نبی آمده است که: «من قاصد خود را پیشاپیش تو می فرستم، او راه تو را باز خواهد کرد.

³The voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make ready the way of the Lord! Make his paths straight!’” Isaiah 40:3

³ندا کننده ای در بیابان فریاد می زند: راه را برای خداوند آماده سازید و مسیر او را راست گردانید.»

⁴John came baptizing or, immersing in the wilderness and preaching the baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins.

⁴یحیای تعمید دهنده در بیابان ظاهر شد و اعلام کرد که مردم برای آمرزش گناهان باید توبه کنند و تعمید بگیرند.

⁵All the country of Judea and all those of Jerusalem went out to him. They were baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.

⁵مردم از تمام سرزمین یهودیه و شهر اورشلیم پیش او می رفتند و با اعتراف به گناهان خود، در دریای اُردن به دست او تعمید می گرفتند.

⁶John was clothed with camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey.

⁶لباس یحیی از پشم شتر بود و کمربندی چرمی به کمر می بست و خوراکش ملخ و عسل صحرایی بود.

⁷He preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I, the thong of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and loosen.

⁷او اعلام کرده گفت: «بعد از من مردی تواناتر از من می آید که من لایق آن نیستم که خم شوم و بند بوتهایش را باز کنم.

⁸I baptized you in The Greek word (en) translated here as “in” could also be translated as “with” in some contexts. water, but he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.”

⁸من شما را در آب تعمید می دهم، اما او شما را با روح القدس تعمید خواهد داد.»

⁹It happened in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.

⁹در این هنگام عیسی از ناصرۀ جلیل آمد و در دریای اُردن به دست یحیی تعمید گرفت.

¹⁰Immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens parting, and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.

¹⁰همین که عیسی از آب بیرون آمد، دید که آسمان شکافته شد و روح القدس بصورت کبوتری به سوی او فرود آمد.

¹¹A voice came out of the sky, “You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

¹¹و آوازی از آسمان شنیده شد که می گفت: «تو پسر عزیز من هستی، از تو خوشنودم.»

¹²Immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness.

¹²فوراً روح خدا او را به بیابان برد.

¹³He was there in the wilderness forty days tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals; and the angels were serving him.

¹³او مدت چهل روز در بیابان بود و شیطان او را وسوسه می کرد. عیسی در بین حیوانات وحشی بود و فرشتگان او را خدمت می کردند.

¹⁴Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Good News of the Kingdom of God,

¹⁴پس از توقیف یحیی، عیسی به ولایت جلیل آمد و مژدۀ خدا را اعلام فرمود

¹⁵and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”

¹⁵و گفت: «ساعت مقرر رسیده و پادشاهی خدا نزدیک است، توبه کنید و به این مژده ایمان آورید.»

¹⁶Passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.

¹⁶وقتی عیسی در کنار بحیرۀ جلیل قدم می زد، شمعون و برادرش اندریاس را دید، که تور بدریا می انداختند چون آن ها ماهیگیر بودند.

¹⁷Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you into fishers for men.”

¹⁷عیسی به آن ها فرمود: «بدنبال من بیائید تا شما را صیاد مردم بسازم.»

¹⁸Immediately they left their nets, and followed him.

¹⁸آن دو نفر فوراً تورهای خود را گذاشته و بدنبال او رفتند.

¹⁹Going on a little further from there, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John, his brother, who were also in the boat mending the nets.

¹⁹کمی دورتر عیسی یعقوب پسر زَبدی و برادرش یوحنا را دید که در کشتی ای مشغول آماده کردن تورهای خود بودند.

²⁰Immediately he called them, and they left their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.

²⁰عیسی آن دو نفر را نیز فوراً پیش خود خواست. آن ها پدر خود زَبدی را با مزدورانش در کشتی گذاشته بدنبال او رفتند.

²¹They went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught.

²¹آن ها وارد کپرناحوم شدند و همینکه روز سَبَت فرا رسید، عیسی به کنیسه رفت و به تعلیم دادن شروع کرد.

²²They were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.

²²مردم از طرز تعلیم او حیران ماندند، زیرا برخلاف علمای دین او با قدرت و اختیار به آن ها تعلیم می داد.

²³Immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,

²³در همان موقع مردی که روح ناپاک داشت وارد کنیسه شد و فریاد زد:

²⁴saying, “Ha! What do we have to do with you, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are: the Holy One of God!”

²⁴«ای عیسی ناصری، با ما چه کار داری؟ آیا آمده ای ما را نابود کنی؟ من می دانم تو کی هستی، ای قدوس خدا.»

²⁵Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!”

²⁵اما عیسی او را سرزنش کرده گفت: «خاموش باش و از این مرد بیرون بیا.»

²⁶The unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.

²⁶روح ناپاک آن مرد را تکان سختی داد و با فریاد بلند از او خارج شد.

²⁷They were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching? For with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him!”

²⁷همه چنان حیران شدند، که از یکدیگر می پرسیدند: «این چیست؟ چه تعلیمات تازه است و با چه قدرتی به ارواح ناپاک فرمان می دهد و آن ها اطاعت می کنند!»

²⁸The report of him went out immediately everywhere into all the region of Galilee and its surrounding area.

²⁸بزودی شهرت او در سراسر جلیل پیچید.

²⁹Immediately, when they had come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

²⁹آن ها از کنیسه بیرون آمدند و به همراه یعقوب و یوحنا مستقیما به خانۀ شمعون و اندریاس رفتند.

³⁰Now Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and immediately they told him about her.

³⁰خشوی شمعون تب داشت و خوابیده بود. وقتی که عیسی به آنجا رسید او را از حال آن زن باخبر کردند.

³¹He came and took her by the hand, and raised her up. The fever left her, and she served them.

³¹عیسی پیش او رفت، دستش را گرفت و او را برخیزانید، تبش قطع شد و به پذیرایی از آن ها مشغول شد.

³²At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick, and those who were possessed by demons.

³²وقتی آفتاب غروب کرد و شب شد، همۀ بیماران و دیوانگان را پیش او آوردند.

³³All the city was gathered together at the door.

³³تمام مردم شهر در پیش آن خانه جمع شدند.

³⁴He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. He didn’t allow the demons to speak, because they knew him.

³⁴عیسی بیماران بسیاری را که امراض گوناگون داشتند شفا داد و ارواح ناپاک زیادی را بیرون کرد و نگذاشت آن ها حرفی بزنند، چون او را می شناختند.

³⁵Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there.

³⁵سحرگاه روز بعد عیسی از خواب برخاسته از منزل خارج شد و به جای خلوتی رفت و مشغول دعا شد.

³⁶Simon and those who were with him followed after him;

³⁶شمعون و همراهانش به جستجوی او پرداختند

³⁷and they found him, and told him, “Everyone is looking for you.”

³⁷و وقتی او را پیدا کردند به او گفتند: «همه بدنبال تو می گردند.»

³⁸He said to them, “Let’s go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because I came out for this reason.”

³⁸عیسی به آن ها فرمود: «به جاهای دیگر و شهرهای اطراف برویم تا در آنجا هم پیغام خود را برسانم، چون من برای همین منظور آمده ام.»

³⁹He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out demons.

³⁹عیسی در سراسر جلیل می گشت و در کنیسه ها پیام خود را اعلام می کرد و ارواح ناپاک را بیرون می نمود.

⁴⁰A leper came to him, begging him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, “If you want to, you can make me clean.”

⁴⁰یک نفر جذامی پیش عیسی آمد، زانو زد و تقاضای کمک کرد و گفت: «اگر بخواهی می توانی مرا پاک سازی.»

⁴¹Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, “I want to. Be made clean.”

⁴¹دل عیسی بحال او سوخت، دست خود را دراز کرد، او را لمس نمود و فرمود: «البته می خواهم، پاک شو.»

⁴²When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was made clean.

⁴²فوراً جذامش برطرف شد و پاک گشت.

⁴³He strictly warned him, and immediately sent him out,

⁴³بعد عیسی در حالی که او را رخصت می داد با تأکید بسیار

⁴⁴and said to him, “See you say nothing to anybody, but go show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”

⁴⁴به او گفت: «هوش کن چیزی به کسی نگویی، بلکه برو خود را به کاهن نشان بده و بخاطر اینکه پاک شده ای قربانی ای را که موسی حکم کرده، تقدیم کن تا برای شفای تو شهادتی باشد.»اما آن مرد رفت و این خبر را در همه جا منتشر کرد. بطوری که عیسی دیگر نمی توانست آشکارا وارد شهر شود. بلکه در جاهای خلوت می ماند و مردم از همه طرف پیش او می رفتند.

⁴⁵But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places: and they came to him from everywhere.

⁴⁵اما آن مرد رفت و این خبر را در همه جا منتشر کرد. بطوری که عیسی دیگر نمی توانست آشکارا وارد شهر شود. بلکه در جاهای خلوت می ماند و مردم از همه طرف پیش او می رفتند.
