1When he entered again into Capernaum after some days, it was heard that he was in the house.
1بعد از چند روز عیسی به کپرناحوم برگشت و به همه خبر رسید که او در منزل است.
2Immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even around the door; and he spoke the word to them.
2عدۀ زیادی در آنجا جمع شدند، به طوری که حتی در پیش دروازه خانه هم جائی نبود و عیسی پیام خود را برای مردم بیان می کرد.
3Four people came, carrying a paralytic to him.
3عده ای مرد شلی را، که بوسیلۀ چهار نفر آورده می شد، نزد او آوردند.
4When they could not come near to him for the crowd, they removed the roof where he was. When they had broken it up, they let down the mat that the paralytic was lying on.
4اما به علت زیادی جمعیت نتوانستند او را پیش عیسی بیاورند، پس سقف اطاق را که عیسی در آنجا بود برداشتند و وقتی آنجا را باز کردند مرد شل را در حالی که روی تشک خود خوابیده بود پائین گذاشتند.
5Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”
5عیسی وقتی ایمان ایشان را دید، به مرد شل گفت: «ای فرزند، گناهان تو آمرزیده شد.»
6But there were some of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
6چند نفر از علمای دین که آنجا نشسته بودند، پیش خود فکر کردند:
7“Why does this man speak blasphemies like that? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
7«چرا این شخص چنین می گوید؟ این کفر است، چه کسی جز خدا می تواند گناهان را بیامرزد؟»
8Immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you reason these things in your hearts?
8عیسی فوراً فهمید آن ها چه افکاری در دل خود دارند. پس به آن ها فرمود: «چرا چنین افکاری را در دل خود راه می دهید؟
9 Which is easier, to tell the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Arise, and take up your bed, and walk?’
9آیا به این شل گفتن «گناهانت آمرزیده شد» آسانتر است یا گفتن «برخیز تشک خود را بردار و راه برو»؟
10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” —he said to the paralytic—
10اما برای اینکه بدانید، پسر انسان در روی زمین حق آمرزیدن گناهان را دارد.» به آن شل فرمود:
11 “I tell you, arise, take up your mat, and go to your house.”
11«به تو می گویم برخیز، تشک خود را بردار و بخانه برو.»
12He arose, and immediately took up the mat, and went out in front of them all; so that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”
12او برخاست و فوراً تشک خود را برداشت و در برابر چشم همه خارج شد. همه بسیار تعجب کردند و خدا را حمد کنان می گفتند: «ما تا بحال چنین چیزی ندیده ایم.»
13He went out again by the seaside. All the multitude came to him, and he taught them.
13بار دیگر عیسی به کنار دریا رفت، مردم پیش او آمدند و او به تعلیم آنها شروع کرد.
14As he passed by, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the tax office, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he arose and followed him.
14همچنانکه می رفت لاوی پسر حَلفی را دید، که در محل وصول مالیه نشسته بود. عیسی به او گفت: «بدنبال من بیا.» لاوی برخاست و بدنبال او رفت.
15It happened, that he was reclining at the table in his house, and many tax collectors and sinners sat down with Jesus and his disciples, for there were many, and they followed him.
15وقتی عیسی در خانه لاوی سر دسترخوان نشسته بود، عدۀ زیادی از جزیه گیران و خطاکاران با او و شاگردانش نشسته بودند، چون بسیاری از آن ها پیرو او بودند.
16The scribes and the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, “Why is it that he eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?”
16وقتی عده ای از علمای دین فریسی او را دیدند که با جزیه گیران و خطاکاران غذا می خورد، به شاگردانش گفتند: «چرا با جزیه گیران و خطاکاران غذا می خورد؟»
17When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
17عیسی این را شنید و به آن ها فرمود: «بیماران احتیاج به طبیب دارند، نه تندرستان. من آمده ام تا خطاکاران را دعوت نمایم نه پرهیزکاران را.»
18John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting, and they came and asked him, “Why do John’s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples don’t fast?”
18یک موقع که شاگردان یحیی و پیروان فرقه فریسی روزه دار بودند، عده ای پیش عیسی آمدند و پرسیدند: «چرا شاگردان یحیی و فریسی ها روزه می گیرند، اما شاگردان تو روزه نمی گیرند؟»
19Jesus said to them, “Can the groomsmen fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they can’t fast.
19عیسی به آن ها فرمود: «آیا می توان انتظار داشت دوستان داماد تا زمانی که داماد با آنهاست روزه بگیرند؟ نه، تا زمانی که داماد با آنهاست آن ها روزه نمی گیرند.
20 But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then will they fast in that day.
20اما زمانی خواهد آمد که داماد از ایشان گرفته می شود، در آن وقت روزه خواهند گرفت.
21 No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, or else the patch shrinks and the new tears away from the old, and a worse hole is made.
21هیچ کس لباس کهنه را با پارچۀ نو پیوند نمی کند. اگر چنین کند آن پینه از لباس جدا می گردد و پارگی بدتری بجا می گذارد.
22 No one puts new wine into old wineskins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and the wine pours out, and the skins will be destroyed; but they put new wine into fresh wineskins.”
22همچنین هیچ کس شراب تازه را در مشک های کهنه نمی ریزد. اگر چنین کند شراب، مشک را می ترکاند و مشک و شراب هر دو از بین می روند. شراب تازه را در مشک های نو باید ریخت.»
23It happened that he was going on the Sabbath day through the grain fields, and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of grain.
23در یک روز سَبَت عیسی از میان مزارع گندم می گذشت و شاگردانش در حالی که راه می رفتند شروع به چیدن خوشه های گندم کردند.
24The Pharisees said to him, “Behold, why do they do that which is not lawful on the Sabbath day?”
24فریسی ها به او گفتند: «ببین، چرا شاگردان تو کاری می کنند که در روز سَبَت جایز نیست؟»
25He said to them, “Did you never read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry—he, and those who were with him?
25عیسی فرمود: «مگر نخوانده اید که داود وقتی خود و یارانش احتیاج به خوراک داشتند چه کرد؟
26 How he entered into God’s house when Abiathar was high priest, and ate the show bread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and gave also to those who were with him?”
26در زمان ابیاتار کاهن اعظم، به خانۀ خدا وارد شد و نان تقدیس شده را، که جز کاهنان کسی حق خوردن آن ها را نداشت، خورد و به همراهان خود نیز داد.»
27He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
27و به آن ها فرمود: «روز سَبَت برای انسان بوجود آمد، نه انسان برای روز سَبَت.بنابراین پسر انسان صاحب اختیار روز سَبَت هم است.»
28 Therefore the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”
28بنابراین پسر انسان صاحب اختیار روز سَبَت هم است.»
