¹He entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there who had his hand withered.

¹عیسی بار دیگر به کنیسه رفت. در آنجا مردی حضور داشت، که دستش خشک شده بود.

²They watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him.

²پیروان فرقه فریسی مراقب بودند ببینند، آیا عیسی او را در روز سَبَت شفا می دهد تا تهمتی برضد او پیدا کنند.

³He said to the man who had his hand withered, “Stand up.”

³عیسی به آن مرد دست خشک فرمود: «بیا در میان بایست.»

⁴He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?” But they were silent.

⁴بعد به آن ها گفت: «آیا در روز سَبَت خوبی کردن رواست یا بدی کردن؟ نجات دادن یا کشتن؟» آن ها خاموش ماندند.

⁵When he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.

⁵عیسی با خشم به آن ها نگاه کرد، زیرا از سنگدلی آن ها جگرخون بود و سپس به آن مرد فرمود: «دستت را دراز کن.» او دستش را دراز کرد و مانند اول سالم شد.

⁶The Pharisees went out, and immediately conspired with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

⁶فریسی ها فوراً از آنجا خارج شدند تا با طرفداران هیرودیس برای از بین بردن عیسی نقشه بکشند.

⁷Jesus withdrew to the sea with his disciples, and a great multitude followed him from Galilee, from Judea,

⁷عیسی با شاگردان خود به کنار دریا رفت. عدۀ زیادی بدنبال او می رفتند. این اشخاص از جلیل و یهودیه

⁸from Jerusalem, from Idumaea, beyond the Jordan, and those from around Tyre and Sidon. A great multitude, hearing what great things he did, came to him.

⁸و اورشلیم و ادومیه و از آن طرف دریای اُردن و از قسمت های صور و صیدون آمده بودند. این جمعیت انبوه شرح کارهای او را شنیده و به نزدش آمدند.

⁹He spoke to his disciples that a little boat should stay near him because of the crowd, so that they wouldn’t press on him.

⁹پس او به شاگردان خود گفت که کشتی ای برایش حاضر کنند تا از ازدحام مردم دور باشد.

¹⁰For he had healed many, so that as many as had diseases pressed on him that they might touch him.

¹⁰چون آنقدر بیماران را شفا داده بود که همه بطرف او هجوم می آوردند تا او را لمس کنند.

¹¹The unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, “You are the Son of God!”

¹¹همینطور ارواح ناپاک وقتی او را می دیدند، در پیش او به خاک می افتادند و با صدای بلند فریاد می کردند: «تو پسر خدا هستی!»

¹²He sternly warned them that they should not make him known.

¹²عیسی با تأکید به آن ها امر می کرد که این را به کسی نگویند.

¹³He went up into the mountain, and called to himself those whom he wanted, and they went to him.

¹³بعد از آن عیسی به بالای کوهی رفت و اشخاصی را که می خواست پیش خود خواست و آن ها پیش او رفتند.

¹⁴He appointed twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might send them out to preach,

¹⁴او دوازده نفر را تعیین کرد تا پیش او باشند و تا آن ها را برای اعلام پیام خود بفرستد

¹⁵and to have authority to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons:

¹⁵و قدرت بیرون کردن ارواح ناپاک را داشته باشند.

¹⁶Simon, to whom he gave the name Peter;

¹⁶دوازده نفری که انتخاب کرد عبارتند از: شمعون که عیسی به او لقب پِترُس داد،

¹⁷James the son of Zebedee; John, the brother of James, and he surnamed them Boanerges, which means, Sons of Thunder;

¹⁷یعقوب پسر زَبدی و برادرش یوحنا که به آن ها لقب «بوانیرگس» یعنی «رعدآسا» داد.

¹⁸Andrew; Philip; Bartholomew; Matthew; Thomas; James, the son of Alphaeus; Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot;

¹⁸و اندریاس و فیلیپُس و بَرتولما و متی و توما و یعقوب پسر حَلفی و تَدی و شمعون فدایی

¹⁹and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. He came into a house.

¹⁹و یهودای اسخریوطی که بعدها عیسی را تسلیم کرد.

²⁰The multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

²⁰عیسی به منزل رفت. بازهم جمعیت زیادی در آنجا جمع شد، بطوری که او و شاگردانش فرصت غذا خوردن نداشتند.

²¹When his friends heard it, they went out to seize him: for they said, “He is insane.”

²¹وقتی فامیل او این را شنیدند، آمدند تا او را با خود ببرند، چون بعضی می گفتند که او دیوانه شده است.

²²The scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebul,” and, “By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons.”

²²علمای دین هم که از اورشلیم آمده بودند، می گفتند: «او تحت فرمان بَعلزِبول است و ارواح ناپاک را به یاری رئیس ارواح ناپاک بیرون می کند.»

²³He summoned them, and said to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan?

²³پس عیسی از مردم خواست که پیش بیایند و برای آن ها مَثَل هایی آورد و گفت: «شیطان چطور می تواند شیطان را بیرون کند؟

²⁴ If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

²⁴اگر در مملکتی تفرقه باشد، آن مملکت نمی تواند دوام بیاورد

²⁵ If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

²⁵و اگر در خانواده ای تفرقه بیافتد، آن خانواده نمی تواند پایدار بماند.

²⁶ If Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he can’t stand, but has an end.

²⁶اگر شیطان نیز مقابل شیطان قیام کند و در او تفرقه پیدا شود، دیگر نمی تواند دوام بیاورد و سلطنتش به پایان خواهد رسید.

²⁷ But no one can enter into the house of the strong man to plunder, unless he first binds the strong man; and then he will plunder his house.

²⁷همچنین هیچکس نمی تواند به خانۀ مرد زورآوری وارد شود و اموال او را غارت کند، مگر اینکه اول آن زورمند را ببندد و پس از آن خانه اش را غارت نماید.

²⁸ Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme;

²⁸بدانید هر نوع گناه و کفری که انسان مرتکب شده باشد، قابل آمرزش است.

²⁹ but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”

²⁹اما هرکه به روح القدس کفر بگوید تا ابد آمرزیده نخواهد شد ـ نه در این دنیا و نه در دنیای آینده.»

³⁰—because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.”

³⁰عیسی این مَثَل را آورد چون عده ای می گفتند: «او روح ناپاک دارد.»

³¹His mother and his brothers came, and standing outside, they sent to him, calling him.

³¹مادر و برادران عیسی آمدند و بیرون ایستاده پیغام فرستادند که عیسی پیش آن ها برود.

³²A multitude was sitting around him, and they told him, “Behold, your mother, your brothers, and your sisters TR omits “your sisters” are outside looking for you.”

³²جمعیت زیادی دور او نشسته بودند و به او خبر دادند که: «مادر و برادران تو بیرون ایستاده اند و تو را می خواهند.»

³³He answered them, “Who are my mother and my brothers?”

³³عیسی جواب داد: «مادر من کیست؟ برادران من کی هستند؟»

³⁴Looking around at those who sat around him, he said, “Behold, my mother and my brothers!

³⁴و به کسانی که دور او نشسته بودند نگاه کرده گفت: «اینها مادر و برادران من هستند.چون هرکس ارادۀ خدا را انجام دهد برادر و خواهر و مادر من است.»

³⁵ For whoever does the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.”

³⁵چون هرکس ارادۀ خدا را انجام دهد برادر و خواهر و مادر من است.»
