¹As he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, see what kind of stones and what kind of buildings!”

¹وقتی عیسی از عبادتگاه خارج می شد یکی از شاگردان به او گفت: «ای استاد، این سنگها و ساختمان های بزرگ را ببین.»

²Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone on another, which will not be thrown down.”

²عیسی به او فرمود: «این ساختمان های بزرگ را می بینی؟ هیچ یک از سنگ های آن روی سنگ دیگری باقی نخواهد ماند، بلکه همه زیر و رو خواهد شد.»

³As he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately,

³وقتی عیسی در کوه زیتون روبروی عبادتگاه نشسته بود، پِترُس و یعقوب و یوحنا و اندریاس به طور خصوصی به او گفتند:

⁴“Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are all about to be fulfilled?”

⁴«به ما بگو این در چه وقت واقع خواهد شد؟ علامت نزدیک بودن وقوع این امور چه خواهد بود؟»

⁵Jesus, answering, began to tell them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray.

⁵عیسی در جواب آن ها فرمود: «متوجه باشید که کسی شما را گمراه نکند.

⁶ For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he! or, “I AM!” ’ and will lead many astray.

⁶بسیاری به نام من آمده خواهند گفت: «من او هستم» و مردم زیادی را گمراه خواهند ساخت.

⁷ “When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, don’t be troubled. For those must happen, but the end is not yet.

⁷وقتی صدای جنگها را از نزدیک بشنوید و یا اخبار جنگها در جاهای دور به گوش تان برسد هراسان نشوید. این چیزها باید واقع شود. اما هنوز آخر کار نیست.

⁸ For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. There will be famines and troubles. These things are the beginning of birth pains.

⁸ملتی با ملتی دیگر و مملکتی با مملکت دیگر جنگ خواهد کرد و در جاهای بسیار، زلزله ها روی می دهد و خشکسالی خواهد شد. این چیزها علائم شروع دردی مانند درد زایمان است.

⁹ But watch yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils. You will be beaten in synagogues. You will stand before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them.

⁹اما متوجه خود تان باشید، شما را برای محاکمه به شورا ها خواهند کشانید و در کنیسه ها تازیانه خواهند زد. به خاطر من شما را به حضور حکمرانان و پادشاهان خواهند برد تا در مقابل آن ها شهادت دهید.

¹⁰ The Good News must first be preached to all the nations.

¹⁰اول باید انجیل به تمام ملتها برسد.

¹¹ When they lead you away and deliver you up, don’t be anxious beforehand, or premeditate what you will say, but say whatever will be given you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.

¹¹پس وقتی شما را دستگیر می کنند و تسلیم می نمایند پیش از پیش ناراحت نشوید که چه بگویید، بلکه آنچه در آن ساعت بوسیلۀ روح القدس به شما گفته می شود همان را بگویید، چون اوست که سخن می گوید، نه شما.

¹² “Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.

¹²برادر، برادر را تسلیم مرگ خواهد کرد و پدر، پسر را، فرزندان برضد والدین خود قیام خواهند کرد و آنها را به کشتن خواهند داد.

¹³ You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end, the same will be saved.

¹³همۀ مردم بخاطر این که نام من بر شماست از شما روی گردان خواهند شد. اما هرکه تا به آخر پایدار بماند نجات خواهد یافت.

¹⁴ But when you see the abomination of desolation, Daniel 9:17; 11:31; 12:11 spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains,

¹⁴اما هرگاه آن «مکروه ویرانگر» را در جایی که نباید باشد، برقرار ببینید (خواننده خوب دقت کند) کسانی که در یهودیه هستند به کوه ها فرار کنند.

¹⁵ and let him who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter in, to take anything out of his house.

¹⁵اگر کسی در پشت بام خانه است، نباید برای بردن چیزی پایین بیاید و وارد خانه شود.

¹⁶ Let him who is in the field not return back to take his cloak.

¹⁶و اگر در مزرعه است، نباید برای برداشتن لباس برگردد.

¹⁷ But woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse babies in those days!

¹⁷آن روزها برای زنان حامله و یا شیرده چقدر وحشتناک خواهد بود!

¹⁸ Pray that your flight won’t be in the winter.

¹⁸دعا کنید که این چیزها در زمستان پیش نیاید

¹⁹ For in those days there will be oppression, such as there has not been the like from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will be.

¹⁹زیرا در آن روزها چنان مصیبتی روی خواهد نمود، که از زمانی که خدا دنیا را آفرید تا بحال، مثل آن دیده نشده و دیگر هم دیده نخواهد شد.

²⁰ Unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved; but for the sake of the chosen ones, whom he picked out, he shortened the days.

²⁰اگر خداوند آن روزها را کوتاه نمی کرد، هیچ جانداری جان سالم بدر نمی برد، اما بخاطر برگزیدگان خود آن روزها را کوتاه کرده است.

²¹ Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ don’t believe it.

²¹پس اگر کسی به شما بگوید: «ببین مسیح این جا و یا آن جاست» باور نکنید.

²² For there will arise false christs and false prophets, and will show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

²²مسیح ها و انبیای دروغین ظهور خواهند کرد و چنان علامات و معجزاتی خواهند نمود، که اگر ممکن باشد برگزیدگان خدا را گمراه کنند.

²³ But you watch. “Behold, I have told you all things beforehand.

²³متوجه باشید من شما را از همۀ این چیزها قبلاً باخبر کرده ام.

²⁴ But in those days, after that oppression, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light,

²⁴اما در آن روزها بعد از آن مصیبت ها، آفتاب تاریک خواهد شد و ماه دیگر نخواهد درخشید.

²⁵ the stars will be falling from the sky, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken. Isaiah 13:10; 34:4

²⁵ستاره ها از آسمان فرو خواهند ریخت و نیروهای آسمان متزلزل خواهند شد.

²⁶ Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.

²⁶آن وقت پسر انسان را خواهند دید که با قدرت عظیم و جاه و جلال، بر ابر ها می آید.

²⁷ Then he will send out his angels, and will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the sky.

²⁷او فرشتگان را خواهد فرستاد و برگزیدگان خود را در چهار گوشۀ عالم از دورترین نقاط زمین تا دورترین حدود آسمان جمع خواهد کرد.

²⁸ “Now from the fig tree, learn this parable. When the branch has now become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that the summer is near;

²⁸از درخت انجیر درس بگیرید: وقتی شاخه هایش سبز و شاداب می شوند و برگ می آورند، می دانید که تابستان نزدیک است.

²⁹ even so you also, when you see these things coming to pass, know that it is near, at the doors.

²⁹به همان طریق وقتی وقوع این چیزها را ببینید مطمئن باشید که نزدیک بلکه در آستانه در است.

³⁰ Most certainly I say to you, this generation The word translated “generation” (genea) could also be translated “race,” “family,” or “people.” will not pass away until all these things happen.

³⁰بیقین بدانید پیش از این که زندگی این نسل بسر آید، همۀ این امور واقع خواهد شد.

³¹ Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

³¹آسمان و زمین از بین خواهند رفت، اما سخنان من هرگز از بین نخواهند رفت.

³² But of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

³²اما از آن روز و ساعت هیچ کس خبر ندارد، نه فرشتگان آسمان و نه پسر، فقط پدر از آن آگاه است.

³³ Watch, keep alert, and pray; for you don’t know when the time is.

³³هوشیار و آگاه باشید، شما نمی دانید آن زمان چه وقتی می آید.

³⁴ “It is like a man, traveling to another country, having left his house, and given authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and also commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch.

³⁴آمدن آن روز، مانند شخصی است که به سفر رفته و خانه خود را به خادمان سپرده است تا هرکس کار خود را انجام دهد و به دربان سپرده است که گوش به زنگ باشد.

³⁵ Watch therefore, for you don’t know when the lord of the house is coming, whether at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning;

³⁵پس بیدار باشید چون نمی دانید که صاحب خانه کی می آید، شب یا نصف شب، وقت سحر یا سپیده دَم.

³⁶ lest coming suddenly he might find you sleeping.

³⁶مبادا او ناگهان بیاید و شما را در خواب ببیند.آنچه را به شما می گویم، به همه می گویم: بیدار باشید.»

³⁷ What I tell you, I tell all: Watch.”

³⁷آنچه را به شما می گویم، به همه می گویم: بیدار باشید.»
