1Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
1خداوند به موسی و هارون فرمود که این هدایات را به قوم اسرائیل بدهند: یک گاو سرخ و بی عیب را که هیچ یوغی بر گردنش گذاشته نشده باشد بیاورند
2“This is the statute of the law which Yahweh has commanded: Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring you a red heifer without spot, in which is no blemish, and which was never yoked.
2و آن را به اَلِعازار کاهن بدهند. او آنرا از اردوگاه بیرون برده و یکنفر در حضور او آنرا ذبح کند.
3You shall give her to Eleazar the priest, and he shall bring her forth outside of the camp, and one shall kill her before his face:
3آنگاه اَلِعازار قدری از خون گاو را گرفته با انگشت خود هفت بار بطرف پیشروی خیمۀ حضور خداوند بپاشد.
4and Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle her blood toward the front of the Tent of Meeting seven times.
4بعد حیوان را با پوست، گوشت، خون و سرگین آن بسوزاند.
5One shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn:
5اَلِعازار چوب سرو و شاخه های جارو بوته و نخ سرخ را گرفته آن ها را در آتش بیندازد.
6and the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.
6پس از آن باید لباسهای خود را شسته غسل کند و بعد به اردوگاه برگردد، اما تا شام شرعاً نجس خواهد بود.
7Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the evening.
7شخصی که گاو را سوختانده است باید لباسهای خود را بشوید و غسل کند و او هم تا شام شرعاً نجس خواهد بود.
8He who burns her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the evening.
8بعد یک کسی که شرعاً نجس نباشد خاکستر گاو را جمع کرده در یک جای پاک در بیرون اردوگاه بیندازد تا قوم اسرائیل آن را برای آب طهارت که بخاطر رفع گناه است، به کار برند.
9“A man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up outside of the camp in a clean place; and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water for impurity: it is a sin offering.
9کسی که خاکستر گاو را جمع کرده است، لباسهای خود را بشوید و او هم تا شام نجس خواهد بود. این مقررات را هم مردم اسرائیل و هم بیگانگانی که در بین آن ها سکونت دارند باید همیشه رعایت کنند.
10He who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening: and it shall be to the children of Israel, and to the stranger who lives as a foreigner among them, for a statute forever.
10هر کسی که جنازه ای را لمس کند تا هفت روز نجس خواهد بود.
11“He who touches the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days:
11او باید در روز سوم و هفتم خود را با آب طهارت بشوید، پاک می شود، اما اگر در آن دو روز خود را با آن آب پاک نکند، همانطور نجس باقی می ماند.
12the same shall purify himself with water on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he doesn’t purify himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.
12اگر کسی جنازه ای را لمس کند و خود را با آب طهارت نشوید، نجس باقی می ماند، زیرا که آب طهارت بر او پاشیده نشده است. آن شخص باید از بین قوم رانده شود، زیرا او خیمۀ حضور خداوند را نجس کرده است.
13Whoever touches a dead person, the body of a man who has died, and doesn’t purify himself, defiles the tabernacle of Yahweh; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water for impurity was not sprinkled on him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet on him.
13اگر کسی در خیمه ای بمیرد، این مقررات باید رعایت شود: هر کسیکه در آن خیمه ساکن است و یا در آن داخل می شود تا هفت روز شرعاً نجس خواهد بود.
14“This is the law when a man dies in a tent: everyone who comes into the tent, and everyone who is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.
14هر گونه ظرفی بی سرپوش که در آن خیمه باشد نجس می شود.
15Every open vessel, which has no covering bound on it, is unclean.
15هرگاه شخصی به جسد کسی که کشته شده یا بمرگ طبیعی مرده باشد دست بزند، یا استخوان انسان و یا قبری را لمس کند تا هفت روز نجس خواهد بود.
16“Whoever in the open field touches one who is slain with a sword, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.
16برای اینکه شخص نجس پاک شود، باید خاکستر گاو سرخ را که برای رفع گناه قربانی شده است در یک ظرف بیندازد و آب روان بر آن بریزد.
17“For the unclean they shall take of the ashes of the burning of the sin offering; and running water shall be put thereto in a vessel:
17بعد یک نفری که نجس نباشد شاخه های از بتۀ زوفا را گرفته در آن آب فروبَرَد و با آن شاخه ها آب را بر خیمه و همۀ ظروفی که در خیمه هستند و همچنین بر همه کسانی که در آن خیمه بوده اند یا به استخوان انسان، یا به جسد و یا به قبری دست زده باشند، بپاشد.
18and a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it on the tent, and on all the vessels, and on the persons who were there, and on him who touched the bone, or the slain, or the dead, or the grave:
18آب طهارت باید در روز سوم و هفتم بر شخص نجس ریخته شود. در روز هفتم شخص نجس باید لباسهای خود را شسته غسل کند. او در شام همان روز پاک می شود.
19and the clean person shall sprinkle on the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify him; and he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at evening.
19ولی اگر کسی نجس شود و خود را پاک نسازد، نجس باقی می ماند، زیرا که آب طهارت بر او پاشیده نشده است. آن شخص باید از بین قوم اسرائیل رانده شود، زیرا خیمۀ حضور خداوند را نجس کرده است.
20But the man who shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he has defiled the sanctuary of Yahweh: the water for impurity has not been sprinkled on him; he is unclean.
20این یک قانون دایمی است. شخصی که آب طهارت را می پاشد باید لباسهای خود را بشوید و هر کسی که به آن آب دست بزند، تا شام نجس باقی می ماند.هر چیزی که دست نجس به آن بخورد نجس می شود و هر کسی که چیز نجس را لمس کند، تا شام نجس باقی می ماند.
21It shall be a perpetual statute to them: and he who sprinkles the water for impurity shall wash his clothes, and he who touches the water for impurity shall be unclean until evening.
21هر چیزی که دست نجس به آن بخورد نجس می شود و هر کسی که چیز نجس را لمس کند، تا شام نجس باقی می ماند.
22“Whatever the unclean person touches shall be unclean; and the soul that touches it shall be unclean until evening.”
