1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
1خداوند به موسی فرمود: «به هارون بگو که چراغها را در چراغدان ها طوری قرار دهد که نور هر هفت چراغ در پیشروی چراغدان ها بتابد.»
2“Speak to Aaron, and tell him, ‘When you light the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lampstand.’”
2هارون امر خداوند را بجا آورد و چراغها را به قسمی قرار داد که پیشروی چراغدان ها را روشن کنند.
3Aaron did so. He lit its lamps to light the area in front of the lampstand, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
3چراغدان ها، از سر تا پایه، از طلا و مطابق همان نقشه ای که خداوند به موسی نشان داده بود، ساخته شده بودند.
4This was the workmanship of the lampstand, beaten work of gold. From its base to its flowers, it was beaten work: according to the pattern which Yahweh had shown Moses, so he made the lampstand.
4بعد خداوند به موسی هدایت داد: «لاویان را از سایر قوم اسرائیل جدا و آن ها را به این ترتیب تطهیر کن:
5Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
5آب طهارت را بر آن ها بپاش. بعد به آن ها بگو که تمام موهای بدن خود را بتراشند و لباسهای خود را بشویند و غسل کنند.
6“Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.
6بعد آن ها یک گاو جوان را با هدیۀ آردی که از آرد اعلی و با روغن تهیه شده باشد و یک گاو جوان دیگر را هم برای قربانی گناه بیاورند.
7You shall do this to them, to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of cleansing on them, let them shave their whole bodies with a razor, and let them wash their clothes, and cleanse themselves.
7آنگاه همۀ لاویان را پیش روی مردم نزد خیمۀ حضور خداوند بیاور، تمام جماعت قوم اسرائیل را جمع کن
8Then let them take a young bull, and its meal offering, fine flour mixed with oil; and another young bull you shall take for a sin offering.
8و مردم اسرائیل بر سر لاویان دست بگذارند.
9You shall present the Levites before the Tent of Meeting. You shall assemble the whole congregation of the children of Israel.
9و هارون آن ها را بعوض تمام قوم اسرائیل بعنوان هدیۀ مخصوص، وقف خداوند کند و لاویان بجای آن ها برای خداوند خدمت نمایند.
10You shall present the Levites before Yahweh. The children of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites,
10سپس لاویان دست خود را بر سر گاوها بگذارند و آن ها را بحضور خداوند تقدیم کنند تا یکی جهت قربانی گناه و دیگری برای لاویان کَفاره شود.
11and Aaron shall offer the Levites before Yahweh for a wave offering, on the behalf of the children of Israel, that it may be theirs to do the service of Yahweh.
11آنگاه لاویان بعنوان هدیۀ مخصوص به خداوند تقدیم شوند و هارون و پسرانش وظایف آن ها را تعیین کنند.
12“The Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, and you shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering to Yahweh, to make atonement for the Levites.
12به این ترتیب لاویان را از سایر قوم جدا کن و آن ها متعلق به من می شوند.
13You shall set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them as a wave offering to Yahweh.
13پس از آنکه آن ها را تطهیر و وقف من کردی، برای خدمت در خیمۀ عبادت آماده شوند.
14Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine.
14آن ها از بین تمام قبایل اسرائیل به من تعلق دارند، و من آن ها را بعوض پسران اولباری قوم اسرائیل برای خود تخصیص داده ام.
15“After that, the Levites shall go in to do the service of the Tent of Meeting: and you shall cleanse them, and offer them as a wave offering.
15زیرا همه اولباری ها در بین قوم اسرائیل، خواه انسان باشند خواه حیوان، از آن من هستند و همان روزی که پسران اول مصریان را کشتم اینها را برای خود برگزیدم.
16For they are wholly given to me from among the children of Israel; instead of all who open the womb, even the firstborn of all the children of Israel, I have taken them to me.
16بلی، من لاویان را بعوض تمام پسران قوم اسرائیل برای خود اختصاص دادم.
17For all the firstborn among the children of Israel are mine, both man and animal. On the day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them for myself.
17من لاویان را بعنوان یک هدیه به هارون و پسرانش بخشیده ام تا در خیمۀ حضور خداوند بعوض قوم اسرائیل خدمت کنند و از قوم اسرائیل محافظت نمایند که اگر به جایگاه مقدس نزدیک شوند آسیبی به آن ها نرسد.»
18I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel.
18پس موسی، هارون و تمام مردم اسرائیل همه هدایاتی را که خداوند به موسی داده بود، موبمو اجراء کردند.
19I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the Tent of Meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel; that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come near to the sanctuary.”
19لاویان خود را تطهیر کردند، لباسهای خود را شستند و هارون آن ها را بعنوان هدیۀ مخصوص به خداوند وقف نمود. او همچنان برای تطهیر شان مراسم کَفاره اجراء کرد.
20Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel did so to the Levites. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so the children of Israel did to them.
20بعد از آن لاویان همانطوری که خداوند به موسی امر فرموده بود به خیمۀ حضور خداوند رفتند و زیر نظر هارون و پسرانش به وظایف خود شروع نمودند.
21The Levites purified themselves from sin, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them for a wave offering before Yahweh; and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.
21خداوند به موسی فرمود: «لاویان باید به وظیفۀ خود در خیمۀ حضور خداوند از سن بیست و پنج ساله و یا بالا تر شروع کنند.
22After that, the Levites went in to do their service in the Tent of Meeting before Aaron, and before his sons: as Yahweh had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.
22و در سن پنجاه سالگی تقاعد نمایند.و بعد از آن، می توانند لاویان دیگر را در انجام خدمت شان کمک کنند، اما خود شان نباید مستقیماً در امور عبادتگاه دخالت نمایند. به این ترتیب، وظایف لاویان را برای شان تعیین کن.»
23Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
23و بعد از آن، می توانند لاویان دیگر را در انجام خدمت شان کمک کنند، اما خود شان نباید مستقیماً در امور عبادتگاه دخالت نمایند. به این ترتیب، وظایف لاویان را برای شان تعیین کن.»
24“This is that which belongs to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to wait on the service in the work of the Tent of Meeting;
25and from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting on the work, and shall serve no more,
26but shall minister with their brothers in the Tent of Meeting, to perform the duty, and shall do no service. You shall do thus to the Levites concerning their duties.”
