¹Give thanks to Yahweh, “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “LORD” (all caps) in other translations. for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.

¹خداوند را سپاس گوئید زیرا که او نیکوست و رحمتش تا به ابد.

²Let the redeemed by Yahweh say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the adversary,

²فدیه شدگانِ خداوند این را بگویند، آنهائی که خداوند ایشان را از دست دشمن فدیه داده

³And gathered out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.

³و از کشورهای بیگانه، از شرق و غرب و شمال و جنوب جمع کرده است.

⁴They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way. They found no city to live in.

⁴آن ها در صحرا و بیابان بیراهه آواره بودند و شهری برای سکونت نیافتند.

⁵Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

⁵گرسنه و تشنه شدند و جان شان بیچاره و بینوا گردید.

⁶Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses,

⁶آنگاه در تنگی خود نزد خداوند فریاد برآوردند و ایشان را از سختی های شان رهایی بخشید.

⁷he led them also by a straight way, that they might go to a city to live in.

⁷آن ها را به راه مستقیم رهبری نمود تا به شهری مسکون درآمدند.

⁸Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works to the children of men!

⁸پس خداوند را به سبب رحمتش و به سبب کارهای شگفت انگیز او با بنی آدم شکر کنند.

⁹For he satisfies the longing soul. He fills the hungry soul with good.

⁹زیرا که جان تشنه را سیراب نموده و جان گرسنه را با چیزهای نیکو سیر کرد.

¹⁰Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron,

¹⁰بعضی شان در تاریکی و سایۀ موت نشسته بودند و در زندان و زنجیر رنج می بردند،

¹¹because they rebelled against the words of God The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “Elohim.” , and condemned the counsel of the Most High.

¹¹زیرا که آن ها از کلام خدا سرپیچی کرده و احکام خدای قادر متعال را بجا نیاورده بودند.

¹²Therefore he brought down their heart with labor. They fell down, and there was none to help.

¹²به همین جهت آن ها را در زیر بار زحمت و مشقت چنان ذلیل ساخت که از پا افتادند و مدد کنندۀ نبود.

¹³Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.

¹³آنگاه در تنگی خود نزد خداوند فریاد برآوردند و ایشان را از سختی های شان رهایی بخشید.

¹⁴He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bonds in sunder.

¹⁴آن ها را از تاریکی و سایه موت بیرون آورد و از بند و زنجیر آزاد کرد.

¹⁵Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works to the children of men!

¹⁵پس خداوند را به سبب رحمتش و به سبب کارهای شگفت انگیز او با بنی آدم شکر کنند.

¹⁶For he has broken the gates of brass, and cut through bars of iron.

¹⁶زیرا که دروازه های برنجی را شکسته و پشت بندهای آهنی آنرا قطع می کند.

¹⁷Fools are afflicted because of their disobedience, and because of their iniquities.

¹⁷افراد نادان به خاطر روش شریرانۀ خود و به سبب گناهان خویش، در عذاب بودند.

¹⁸Their soul abhors all kinds of food. They draw near to the gates of death.

¹⁸جان شان از هر نوع خوراک بیزار بود و پای شان به لب گور رسیده بود.

¹⁹Then they cry to Yahweh in their trouble, he saves them out of their distresses.

¹⁹آنگاه در تنگی خود نزد خداوند فریاد برآوردند و ایشان را از سختی های شان رهایی بخشید.

²⁰He sends his word, and heals them, and delivers them from their graves.

²⁰کلام خود را فرستاده، ایشان را شفا بخشید و از مرگ و عذاب نجات داد.

²¹Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works to the children of men!

²¹پس خداوند را به سبب رحمتش و به سبب کارهای شگفت انگیز او با بنی آدم شکر کنند.

²²Let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with singing.

²²قربانی های شکرانگی بگذرانند و با شادمانی کارهای را که او کرده است، اعلام نمایند.

²³Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business in great waters;

²³بعضی از آن ها با کشتی به بحر رفتند و در آب های عمیق مشغول کار شدند.

²⁴These see Yahweh’s works, and his wonders in the deep.

²⁴آن ها کارهای خداوند و شاهکارهای دست او را در اعماق بحر دیدند.

²⁵For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up its waves.

²⁵به فرمان او باد و طوفان برخاست و امواج بحر به طغیان آمد.

²⁶They mount up to the sky; they go down again to the depths. Their soul melts away because of trouble.

²⁶کشتی ها گاهی به هوا بلند می شدند و گاهی به اعماق بحر فرو می رفتند. جان شان در این تلاطم از حال رفت.

²⁷They reel back and forth, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.

²⁷مانند مستان اُفتان و خیزان شدند و نمی دانستند که چه کار کنند.

²⁸Then they cry to Yahweh in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distress.

²⁸آنگاه در تنگی خود نزد خداوند فریاد برآوردند و ایشان را از سختی های شان رهایی بخشید.

²⁹He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still.

²⁹طوفان را آرام کرد و امواج بحر از تلاطم باز ایستادند.

³⁰Then they are glad because it is calm, so he brings them to their desired haven.

³⁰وقتی آرامش حکمفرما گردید، همه خوشحال شدند و خداوند آن ها را به بندر مقصود رسانید.

³¹Let them praise Yahweh for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works for the children of men!

³¹پس خداوند را به سبب رحمتش و به سبب کارهای شگفت انگیز او با بنی آدم شکر کنند.

³²Let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people, and praise him in the seat of the elders.

³²عظمت و جلال او را به جماعت قوم اعلام کنند و نزد بزرگان قوم او را ستایش کنند.

³³He turns rivers into a desert, water springs into a thirsty ground,

³³او دریاها را به بیابان و چشمه های آب را به زمین خشک و بی آب تبدیل کرد.

³⁴and a fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of those who dwell in it.

³⁴زمین حاصلخیز را به خاطر شرارت ساکنان آن به شوره زار مبدل ساخت.

³⁵He turns a desert into a pool of water, and a dry land into water springs.

³⁵بیابان را به دریاچۀ آب و زمین خشک را به چشمه های آب تبدیل کرد.

³⁶There he makes the hungry live, that they may prepare a city to live in,

³⁶گرسنگان را در آنجا ساکن ساخت تا شهری برای سکونت خود آباد کنند.

³⁷sow fields, plant vineyards, and reap the fruits of increase.

³⁷در زمین آنجا به زراعت پرداختند، تاکستانها غرس نمودند و حاصل بسیار به دست آوردند.

³⁸He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly. He doesn’t allow their livestock to decrease.

³⁸خداوند آن ها را برکت داد که بی حد زیاد شدند و نگذاشت که رمه و گلۀ شان کم گردد.

³⁹Again, they are diminished and bowed down through oppression, trouble, and sorrow.

³⁹باز کم گشتند و تحقیر شدند و در زیر ظلم و ستم رنج کشیدند.

⁴⁰He pours contempt on princes, and causes them to wander in a trackless waste.

⁴⁰خداوند رهبران ظالم را خوار و در ویرانه ها آواره می سازد،

⁴¹Yet he lifts the needy out of their affliction, and increases their families like a flock.

⁴¹اما مسکین را از رنج و سختی رهایی می دهد و قبیله ها را مثل گله ها زیاد می سازد.

⁴²The upright will see it, and be glad. All the wicked will shut their mouths.

⁴²صالحان این را می بینند و خوشی می کنند، اما دهان شرارت بسته می گردد.کیست خردمند تا بدین چیزها تفکر نماید؟ که ایشان رحمت های خداوند را خواهند فهمید.

⁴³Whoever is wise will pay attention to these things. They will consider the loving kindnesses of Yahweh.
