¹The fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from the sky which had fallen to the earth. The key to the pit of the abyss was given to him.

¹در این وقت، پنجمین فرشته در شیپور خود دمید و من ستاره ای را دیدم که به زمین افتاد و کلید «چاهِ بی انتها» به آن ستاره داده شد

²He opened the pit of the abyss, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke from a TR adds “great” burning furnace. The sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke from the pit.

²و با آن کلید، چاه بی انتها را باز کرد و از چاه دودی مانند دود یک کورۀ بزرگ برخاست و نور آفتاب و هوا از دود چاه، تیره و تار گشت.

³Then out of the smoke came forth locusts on the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

³آنگاه از آن دود ملخ هائی بیرون آمده، زمین را پُر ساختند و به آنها قدرتی مثل قدرت گژدُم داده شد

⁴They were told that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only those people who don’t have God’s seal on their foreheads.

⁴و به آن ها گفته شد که به علف زمین و گیاهان و درختان کاری نداشته باشند، بلکه فقط به آدمیانی که مُهر خدا را بر خود ندارند، ضرر برسانند.

⁵They were given power not to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion, when it strikes a person.

⁵به آن ها اجازه داده شد این آدمیان را به مدت پنج ماه شکنجه دهند و مانند کسانی که از نیش گژدُم رنج می برند آن ها را عذاب دهند، ولی اجازۀ کشتن آن ها را نداشتند.

⁶In those days people will seek death, and will in no way find it. They will desire to die, and death will flee from them.

⁶در آن ایام این مردمان آرزوی مرگ خواهند کرد، اما به آرزوی خود نخواهند رسید. خواهان مردن خواهند بود، ولی مرگ به سراغ آن ها نخواهد آمد.

⁷The shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared for war. On their heads were something like golden crowns, and their faces were like people’s faces.

⁷این ملخ ها مثل اسپان آمادۀ جنگ بودند. بر روی سر آن ها چیزهائی شبیه به تاج های طلایی قرار داشت. صورت آن ها مانند صورت انسان بود.

⁸They had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like those of lions.

⁸موهای شان مانند موهای زنان، دندان هایی مثل دندان های شیر داشتند

⁹They had breastplates, like breastplates of iron. The sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots, or of many horses rushing to war.

⁹و سینه های آن ها را سینه پوش های مانند زِرِه های آهنین می پوشانید و صدای بالهای شان مانند صدای اسپان و ارابه هایی بود که به میدان جنگ هجوم می آورند.

¹⁰They have tails like those of scorpions, and stings. In their tails they have power to harm men for five months.

¹⁰آن ها مانند گژدُم، صاحب دُم های نیشداری هستند و قدرت دارند با دُم خود پنج ماه به نوع بشر آزار برسانند.

¹¹They have over them as king the angel of the abyss. His name in Hebrew is “Abaddon,” “Abaddon” is a Hebrew word that means ruin, destruction, or the place of destruction but in Greek, he has the name “Apollyon.” “Apollyon” means “Destroyer.”

¹¹پادشاه آن ها فرشتۀ چاه بی انتها است که نامش به عبرانی «اَبَدون» و در یونانی «آپولیون» (نابود کننده) می باشد.

¹²The first woe is past. Behold, there are still two woes coming after this.

¹²بلای اول به پایان رسید، اما دو بلای دیگر هنوز هست، که باید بیاید.

¹³The sixth angel sounded. I heard a voice from the horns of the golden altar which is before God,

¹³آنگاه ششمین فرشته در شیپور خود دمید و من از چهار گوشۀ قربانگاهِ طلایی که در حضور خدا قرار دارد، صدایی شنیدم

¹⁴saying to the sixth angel who had one trumpet, “Free the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates!”

¹⁴که به فرشتۀ ششم که شیپور را به دست داشت می گفت: «چهار فرشته ای را که بر دریای بزرگ فرات بسته اند، آزاد ساز.»

¹⁵The four angels were freed who had been prepared for that hour and day and month and year, so that they might kill one third of mankind.

¹⁵پس آن چهار فرشته آزاد شدند تا ثلث آدمیان را بکشند. آنها برای همین سال و ماه و روز و ساعت آماده شده بودند.

¹⁶The number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million literally, “ten thousands of ten thousands” . I heard the number of them.

¹⁶من شنیدم که تعداد سواران آن ها دو صد میلیون نفر بود.

¹⁷Thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those who sat on them, having breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of lions. Out of their mouths proceed fire, smoke, and sulfur.

¹⁷در رؤیایی که من دیدم، اسپان و سواران آن ها چنین بودند: سواران سینه پوش هایی به رنگ های سرخِ آتشین و آبی و زردِ گوگردی بر تن داشتند. اسپان سرهایی مانند سر شیر داشتند و از دهان شان آتش و دود و گوگرد بیرون می آمد.

¹⁸By these three plagues were one third of mankind killed: by the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur, which proceeded out of their mouths.

¹⁸این سه بلا یعنی آتش و دود و گوگرد که از دهان شان بیرون می آمد، ثلث آدمیان را کشت.

¹⁹For the power of the horses is in their mouths, and in their tails. For their tails are like serpents, and have heads, and with them they harm.

¹⁹قدرت اسپان در دهان و دُم های آن ها بود. زیرا دُم های شان به مارهایی شباهت داشت که با سر خود می گزیدند و به مردم آزار می رسانیدند.

²⁰The rest of mankind, who were not killed with these plagues, didn’t repent of the works of their hands, that they wouldn’t worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood; which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk.

²⁰بقیۀ آدمیان که از این بلاها نجات یافتند، از کارهای دست خود توبه نکردند و از پرستش شیاطین و بُتهایی که از طلا و نقره و برنج و سنگ و چوب ساخته شده بودند و قادر به دیدن و شنیدن و راه رفتن نیستند، دست نکشیدندو از آدمکشی و جادوگری و زنا و یا دزدی خود توبه نکردند.

²¹They didn’t repent of their murders, nor of their sorceries, The word for “sorceries” (pharmakeia) also implies the use of potions, poisons, and drugs nor of their sexual immorality, nor of their thefts.

²¹و از آدمکشی و جادوگری و زنا و یا دزدی خود توبه نکردند.
