¹Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

¹ما که در ایمان قوی هستیم وظیفه داریم که ناتوانی اشخاص ضعیف را تحمل کنیم و در فکر راحتی و آسایش خود نباشیم؛

²Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.

²بلکه به خاطر خیریت و تقویت همسایگان خود، در فکر راحتی و آسایش آن ها باشیم،

³For even Christ didn’t please himself. But, as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me.” Psalm 69:9

³زیرا مسیح نیز در فکر راحتی و آسایش خود نبود. چنانکه نوشته شده است: «ملامت های آنانی که به تو اهانت می کردند به من رسید.»

⁴For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that through patience and through encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

⁴زیرا هرچه در گذشته نوشته شد، برای تعلیم ما بود تا به وسیلۀ بردباری و دلگرمی ای که کلام خدا می بخشد، امیدوار باشیم.

⁵Now the God of patience and of encouragement grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus,

⁵خدایی که سرچشمۀ بردباری و دلگرمی است عنایت فرماید تا با پیروی از مسیح عیسی همفکر باشید

⁶that with one accord you may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁶و همه با هم یکدل و یک زبان خدا را که پدر خداوند ما عیسی مسیح است ستایش کنید.

⁷Therefore accept one another, even as Christ also accepted you, TR reads “us” instead of “you” to the glory of God.

⁷پس همان طور که مسیح شما را پذیرفته است، شما نیز یکدیگر را برای جلال خدا بپذیرید.

⁸Now I say that Christ has been made a servant of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given to the fathers,

⁸مقصود این است که مسیح، خادم قوم اسرائیل گردید تا آن وعده هایی را که خدا به پدران آنها داده بود، تکمیل کند

⁹and that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written, “Therefore will I give praise to you among the Gentiles, and sing to your name.” 2 Samuel 22:50; Psalm 18:49

⁹و در نتیجه صداقت خدا ثابت شود و تا ملتهای دنیا خدا را برای رحمت او تمجید نمایند. چنانکه نوشته شده است:«از این جهت تو را در میان مردم ستایش خواهم کرد و نام تو را با سپاسگزاری بزبان خواهم آورد.»

¹⁰Again he says, “Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people.” Deuteronomy 32:43

¹⁰و در جای دیگر نوشته شده است:«ای ملت ها، با قوم برگزیدۀ او خوشی کنید.»

¹¹Again, “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Let all the peoples praise him.” Psalm 117:1

¹¹و باز در جای دیگر نوشته شده است:«ای تمامی ملت ها، خداوند را سپاس خوانید! و ای تمامی مردم، او را ستایش کنید.»

¹²Again, Isaiah says, “There will be the root of Jesse, he who arises to rule over the Gentiles; in him the Gentiles will hope.” Isaiah 11:10

¹²و اشعیا نیز می گوید:«ریشۀ یِسی خواهد آمد و او برای حکومت بر ملت ها می آید و امید ملتها بر او خواهد بود.»

¹³Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

¹³خدا که سرچشمه امید است، شما را به وسیلۀ ایمان تان چنان با خوشی و سلامتی کامل پُر سازد که با نیروی روح القدس امید شما روز به روز فراوان تر شود.

¹⁴I myself am also persuaded about you, my brothers The word for “brothers” here and where context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” , that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish others.

¹⁴ای برادران، خود من در مورد شما خاطر جمع هستم که پُر از نیکی و کمال معرفت بوده و قادر به تعلیم یکدیگر هستید.

¹⁵But I write the more boldly to you in part, as reminding you, because of the grace that was given to me by God,

¹⁵اما در این رساله پاره ای از مطالب را با کمال جرأت به شما یادآور شدم. من به خاطر آن فیضی که خدا به من عنایت فرمود

¹⁶that I should be a servant of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, serving as a priest the Good News of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

¹⁶تا خدمتگذار مسیح عیسی برای ملت ها باشم این طور به شما نوشتم. در خدمت انجیل خدا، من وظیفۀ یک کاهن را دارم تا غیر یهودیان را به عنوان هدیه ای به خدا تقدیم نمایم ـ هدیه ای که به سبب تقدیس روح القدس قبول او خواهد شد.

¹⁷I have therefore my boasting in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God.

¹⁷پس می توانم از کارهایی که برای خدا در مسیح عیسی انجام داده ام افتخار نمایم.

¹⁸For I will not dare to speak of any things except those which Christ worked through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,

¹⁸زیرا من جرأت نمی کنم دربارۀ، چیزی جز آنچه مسیح به توسط من به عمل آورده است سخن بگویم. سخن من فقط دربارۀ این است که او چگونه مردم غیر یهود را به وسیلۀ گفتار، رفتار

¹⁹in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of God’s Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and around as far as to Illyricum, I have fully preached the Good News of Christ;

¹⁹و نیروی نشانی ها و معجزات و با قدرت روح القدس تحت فرمان خود درآورده است. به طوری که من سراسر اورشلیم را تا «ایلیریکوم» پیموده ام و انجیل مسیح را همه جا منتشر کرده ام.

²⁰yes, making it my aim to preach the Good News, not where Christ was already named, that I might not build on another’s foundation.

²⁰هدف من همیشه این بوده است که، در جاهایی که نام مسیح به گوش مردم نرسیده است، بشارت دهم، مبادا بر تهدابی که کسی دیگر نهاده آباد کنم.

²¹But, as it is written, “They will see, to whom no news of him came. They who haven’t heard will understand.” Isaiah 52:15

²¹چنانکه نوشته شده است:«کسانی که درباره او چیزی نشنیدند، او را خواهند دید و آنانی که از او بی خبرند، خواهند فهمید.»

²²Therefore also I was hindered these many times from coming to you,

²²همین موضوع بارها مانع آمدن من به نزد شما شد.

²³but now, no longer having any place in these regions, and having these many years a longing to come to you,

²³اما حال چون دیگر کار من در این ناحیه تمام شده و همچنین سالها مشتاق ملاقات شما بوده ام،

²⁴whenever I journey to Spain, I will come to you. For I hope to see you on my journey, and to be helped on my way there by you, if first I may enjoy your company for a while.

²⁴امیدوارم در وقت سفر خود به اسپانیا، از شما دیدن نمایم و پس از آنکه از شما دیدن کردم، در نظر دارم با کمک شما به سفر خود ادامه دهم.

²⁵But now, I say, I am going to Jerusalem, serving the saints.

²⁵در حال حاضر به خاطر کمک به ایمانداران مقدس مقیم اورشلیم عازم آنجا هستم،

²⁶For it has been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are at Jerusalem.

²⁶زیرا برادران در مقدونیه و یونان چنین صلاح دانستند که به خاطر بینوایان ایماندار اورشلیم مبالغی بطور اعانه بفرستند.

²⁷Yes, it has been their good pleasure, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it to them also to serve them in fleshly things.

²⁷ایشان صلاح دانستند این کار را انجام دهند و در حقیقت آن ها مدیون برادران یهودی هستند، زیرا غیر یهودیان که در برکات روحانی یهودیان شریک شدند، وظیفه دارند یهودیان را با برکات مادی خود خدمت کنند.

²⁸When therefore I have accomplished this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will go on by way of you to Spain.

²⁸بنابراین هروقت این خدمت را انجام دادم و مبالغی را که جمع شده است به دست آن ها سپردم، عازم اسپانیا خواهم شد و در سر راه از شما نیز دیدن خواهم کرد.

²⁹I know that, when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of the Good News of Christ.

²⁹و یقین دارم که هرگاه پیش شما بیایم، آمدن من با برکات فراوانی از جانب مسیح همراه خواهد بود.

³⁰Now I beg you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in your prayers to God for me,

³⁰ای برادران، بنام خداوند ما عیسی مسیح و آن محبتی که روح القدس می بخشد در خواست می کنم، که با دعاهای خود در پیشگاه خدا همکاران جدی من باشید،

³¹that I may be delivered from those who are disobedient in Judea, and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints;

³¹یعنی دعا کنید، که من از دست بی ایمانان در یهودیه در امان باشم و خدمت من مورد قبول مقدسین اورشلیم واقع شود.

³²that I may come to you in joy through the will of God, and together with you, find rest.

³²و به این وسیله به خواست خدا با خوشی به سوی شما بیایم و از حضور تان نیروی تازه ای بگیرم.خدا که سرچشمۀ آرامی و سلامتی است، با همۀ شما باد، آمین.

³³Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
