¹Now accept one who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions.

¹شخصی را که در ایمان ضعیف است، در میان خود بپذیرید، ولی نه به منظور مباحثه دربارۀ عقاید او.

²One man has faith to eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables.

²ایمان یک نفر به او اجازه می دهد، هر غذایی را بخورد اما کسی که ضعیف است، فقط سبزیجات می خورد.

³Don’t let him who eats despise him who doesn’t eat. Don’t let him who doesn’t eat judge him who eats, for God has accepted him.

³کسی که هر غذایی را می خورد نباید کسی را که فقط سبزیجات می خورد خوار بشمارد و همچنین شخصی پرهیزگار نباید کسی را که هر غذایی را که می خورد ملامت سازد، زیرا خدا او را پذیرفته است.

⁴Who are you who judge another’s servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for God has power to make him stand.

⁴تو کیستی که دربارۀ خادم شخص دیگری قضاوت کنی؟ اینکه آیا آن خادم در خدمت خود موفق می شود یا نه فقط مربوط به ارباب اوست، ولی او موفق خواهد شد، زیرا ارباب آسمانی او قادر است این کار را برای او انجام دهد.

⁵One man esteems one day as more important. Another esteems every day alike. Let each man be fully assured in his own mind.

⁵یک نفر یک روز را از روزهای دیگر مهمتر می داند حال آنکه شخص دیگری همه را یک قسم می شمارد. هر کس باید در عقیدۀ خود کاملاً خاطر جمع باشد.

⁶He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks. He who doesn’t eat, to the Lord he doesn’t eat, and gives God thanks.

⁶آنکه روز معینی را بزرگ می شمارد، برای خاطر خداوند چنین می کند و او که هر غذایی را می خورد، باز برای خاطر خداوند می خورد، زیرا او برای خوراک خود خدا را شکر می کند. و از طرف دیگر، شخص پرهیزگار به خاطر خداوند نمی خورد و او نیز از خدا سپاسگزاری می کند.

⁷For none of us lives to himself, and none dies to himself.

⁷هیچ یک از ما فقط برای خود زندگی نمی کند و یا فقط برای خود نمی میرد، اگر زیست می کنیم برای خداوند زندگی می نمائیم

⁸For if we live, we live to the Lord. Or if we die, we die to the Lord. If therefore we live or die, we are the Lord’s.

⁸و اگر بمیریم برای خداوند میمیریم. پس خواه زنده و خواه مرده، متعلق به خداوند هستیم،

⁹For to this end Christ died, rose, and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

⁹زیرا به همین سبب مسیح مُرد و دوباره زنده شد تا خداوند مردگان و زندگان باشد.

¹⁰But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

¹⁰پس تو چرا دربارۀ برادر خود قضاوت می کنی؟ یا چرا برادرت را حقیر می شماری؟ همۀ ما پیش کرسی قضاوت خدا خواهیم ایستاد،

¹¹For it is written, “‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘to me every knee will bow. Every tongue will confess to God.’” Isaiah 45:23

¹¹زیرا نوشته شده است:«خداوند می گوید، به زندگی خودم سوگند که همه در برابر من به زانو درآمده با زبان خود خدا را ستایش خواهند نمود.»

¹²So then each one of us will give account of himself to God.

¹²پس همه ما فرداً فرد باید حساب خود را به خدا پس بدهیم.

¹³Therefore let’s not judge one another any more, but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block in his brother’s way, or an occasion for falling.

¹³بنابراین از قضاوت کردن دربارۀ یکدیگر خودداری کنیم و در عوض تصمیم بگیرید که وسیلۀ لغزش یا رنجش در راه برادر خود نشوید.

¹⁴I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself; except that to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

¹⁴من می دانم و مخصوصاً در پیوستگی با عیسی خداوند یقین دارم، که هیچ چیز به خودی خود ناپاک نیست، اما برای کسی که آن را ناپاک می داند، ناپاک است

¹⁵Yet if because of food your brother is grieved, you walk no longer in love. Don’t destroy with your food him for whom Christ died.

¹⁵و اگر برادرت بخاطر غذایی که تو می خوری آزرده شود، دیگر از روی محبت رفتار نمی کنی. نگذار آنچه می خوری موجب هلاکت شخصی که مسیح در راه او مُرد، بشود.

¹⁶Then don’t let your good be slandered,

¹⁶و نگذارید آنچه برای شما جایز است، باعث شود که دیگران از شما بدگویی کنند،

¹⁷for the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

¹⁷زیرا پادشاهی خدا خوردن و نوشیدن نیست؛ بلکه شامل عدالت و سلامتی و خوشی در روح القدس است.

¹⁸For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.

¹⁸هرکه مسیح را به این طریق خدمت می کند، مورد پسند خدا و پیش انسان قبول شده است.

¹⁹So then, let us follow after things which make for peace, and things by which we may build one another up.

¹⁹پس آنچه را که موجب صلح و سازش و تقویت یکدیگر می شود دنبال کنیم.

²⁰Don’t overthrow God’s work for food’s sake. All things indeed are clean, however it is evil for that man who creates a stumbling block by eating.

²⁰کار خدا را به خاطر خوردن غذا خراب نکنید. تمام خوراکی ها پاک هستند، اما گناه دارد اگر کسی به وسیلۀ آنچه می خورد، باعث لغزش شخص دیگری بشود.

²¹It is good to not eat meat, drink wine, nor do anything by which your brother stumbles, is offended, or is made weak.

²¹همچنین اگر خوردن گوشت یا شراب و یا انجام کارهای دیگر تو موجب لغزش یا رنجش برادرت شود بهتر است از آن دست بکشی.

²²Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who doesn’t judge himself in that which he approves.

²²پس عقیدۀ خود را دربارۀ این مطلب بین خود و خدا نگه دار. خوشا به حال کسی که وقتی کاری انجام می دهد وجدانش او را ملامت نمی کند.اما اگر با وجدان ناراحت چیزی را بخورد محکوم است، زیرا مطابق آنچه وجدانش به او می گوید عمل نکرده است و هر عملی که از روی ایمان نباشد، گناه است.

²³But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because it isn’t of faith; and whatever is not of faith is sin.

²³اما اگر با وجدان ناراحت چیزی را بخورد محکوم است، زیرا مطابق آنچه وجدانش به او می گوید عمل نکرده است و هر عملی که از روی ایمان نباشد، گناه است.

²⁴Now to him who is able to establish you according to my Good News and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret through long ages,

²⁵but now is revealed, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, is made known for obedience of faith to all the nations;

²⁶to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever! Amen. TR places verses 24-26 after Romans 16:24 as verses 25-27.
