1The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork.
1Untuk pemimpin kor. Mazmur Daud.
2Day after day they pour forth speech, and night after night they display knowledge.
2(19-3) Hari yang satu menyampaikannya kepada hari yang berikut; malam yang satu mengisahkannya kepada malam yang kemudian.
3There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
3(19-4) Tak ada yang berbicara atau berkata-kata, tak ada suara yang terdengar.
4Their voice has gone out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,
4(19-5) Tetapi seruannya bergema di seluruh dunia, pesan itu sampai di ujung-ujung bumi. TUHAN membuat rumah di langit bagi sang surya,
5which is as a bridegroom coming out of his room, like a strong man rejoicing to run his course.
5(19-6) pagi-pagi ia menyingsing seperti pengantin pria keluar dari kamarnya, seperti pahlawan yang gembira memulai perjalanannya.
6His going forth is from the end of the heavens, his circuit to its ends; There is nothing hidden from its heat.
6(19-7) Ia menyusuri langit dari ujung ke ujung; tak ada yang luput dari panasnya.
7Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. Yahweh’s testimony is sure, making wise the simple.
7(19-8) Hukum TUHAN itu sempurna, menyegarkan jiwa. Perintah TUHAN dapat dipercaya, memberi hikmat kepada orang sederhana.
8Yahweh’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart. Yahweh’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes.
8(19-9) Peraturan TUHAN itu tepat, menyenangkan hati. Ketetapan TUHAN itu murni, membuat orang mengerti.
9The fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever. Yahweh’s ordinances are true, and righteous altogether.
9(19-10) Berbakti kepada TUHAN itu baik, berlangsung selama-lamanya. Hukum TUHAN itu benar dan adil semuanya.
10More to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb.
10(19-11) Hukum TUHAN lebih berharga dari emas murni, lebih manis dari madu asli.
11Moreover by them is your servant warned. In keeping them there is great reward.
11(19-12) Hamba-Mu diperingatkan oleh semuanya itu; upah besar tersedia bagi orang yang mentaatinya.
12Who can discern his errors? Forgive me from hidden errors.
12(19-13) Tak ada yang dapat menyadari kesesatannya; TUHAN, bebaskanlah aku dari kesalahan tersembunyi.
13Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me. Then I will be upright. I will be blameless and innocent of great transgression.
13(19-14) Jauhkanlah aku dari dosa yang disengaja, jangan biarkan aku dikuasai olehnya. Maka aku menjadi tak bercela, dan bebas dari pelanggaran berat.
14Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer.
14(19-15) Semoga kata-kata dan pikiranku berkenan pada-Mu, ya TUHAN, pelindung dan penebusku!
