¹Surely God The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “Elohim.” is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.

¹Mazmur Asaf. Sungguh baiklah Allah bagi umat-Nya, bagi orang yang berhati murni.

²But as for me, my feet were almost gone. My steps had nearly slipped.

²Tetapi aku sudah bimbang, kepercayaanku hampir saja hilang,

³For I was envious of the arrogant, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

³sebab aku cemburu kepada orang congkak, ketika aku melihat keberuntungan orang jahat.

⁴For there are no struggles in their death, but their strength is firm.

⁴Sebab mereka tidak menderita sakit, badan mereka kuat dan sehat.

⁵They are free from burdens of men, neither are they plagued like other men.

⁶Therefore pride is like a chain around their neck. Violence covers them like a garment.

⁶Karena itu mereka bersikap sombong, dan selalu bertindak dengan kekerasan.

⁷Their eyes bulge with fat. Their minds pass the limits of conceit.

⁷Dari hati mereka tertumpah kejahatan; mereka sibuk dengan rencana-rencana jahat.

⁸They scoff and speak with malice. In arrogance, they threaten oppression.

⁸Mereka mengejek dan mengata-ngatai, dan dengan sombong mengancam akan menindas.

⁹They have set their mouth in the heavens. Their tongue walks through the earth.

⁹Mereka menghujat Allah di surga, dan membual kepada orang-orang di bumi,

¹⁰Therefore their people return to them, and they drink up waters of abundance.

¹⁰sehingga umat Allah pun berbalik kepada mereka, dan percaya kepada omongan mereka.

¹¹They say, “How does God know? Is there knowledge in the Most High?”

¹¹Kata mereka, "Allah tidak tahu, Yang Mahatinggi tidak mengerti."

¹²Behold, these are the wicked. Being always at ease, they increase in riches.

¹⁸Kautempatkan mereka di jalan yang licin, dan Kaubiarkan mereka jatuh binasa.

¹⁹How they are suddenly destroyed! They are completely swept away with terrors.

¹⁹Dalam sekejap mata mereka hancur, amat dahsyatlah kesudahan mereka.

²⁰Seperti mimpi yang menghilang di waktu pagi; ketika Engkau bangkit, ya TUHAN, mereka pun lenyap.

²²I was so senseless and ignorant. I was a brute beast before you.

²³Namun aku tetap di dekat-Mu, Engkau memegang tangan kananku.

²⁴You will guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

²⁴Kaubimbing aku dengan nasihat, dan Kauterima aku dengan kehormatan kelak.

²⁵Whom do I have in heaven? There is no one on earth whom I desire besides you.

²⁵Siapa yang kumiliki di surga kecuali Engkau? Selain Engkau tak ada yang kuinginkan di bumi.
