²Meshelemiah had sons: Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,

²メシレミヤの子たちは、長子はゼカリヤ、次はエデアエル、第三はゼバデヤ、第四はヤテニエル、

³Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Eliehoenai the seventh.

³第五はエラム、第六はヨハナン、第七はエリヨエナイである。

⁴Obed-Edom had sons: Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethanel the fifth,

⁴オベデ・エドムの子たちは、長子はシマヤ、次はヨザバデ、第三はヨア、第四はサカル、第五はネタネル、

⁵Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peullethai the eighth; for God blessed him.

⁵第六はアンミエル、第七はイッサカル、第八はピウレタイである。神が彼を祝福されたからである。

⁶Also to Shemaiah his son were sons born, who ruled over the house of their father; for they were mighty men of valor.

⁶彼の子シマヤにも数人の子が生れ、有能な人々であったので、その父の家を治める者となった。

⁷The sons of Shemaiah: Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brothers were valiant men, Elihu, and Semachiah.

⁷すなわちシマヤの子たちはオテニ、レパエル、オベデ、エルザバデで、エルザバデの兄弟エリウとセマキヤは力ある人々であった。

⁸All these were of the sons of Obed-Edom: they and their sons and their brothers, able men in strength for the service; sixty-two of Obed-Edom.

⁸これらは皆オベデ・エドムの子孫である。彼らはその子たちおよびその兄弟たちと共にその勤めに適した力ある人々で、合わせて六十二人、みなオベデ・エドムに属する者である。

⁹Meshelemiah had sons and brothers, valiant men, eighteen.

⁹メシレミヤにも子たちと兄弟たち合わせて十八人あって、皆力ある人々であった。

¹⁰Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief, (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him chief),

¹⁰メラリの子孫ホサにも子たちがあった。そのかしらはシムリ、これは長子ではなかったが、父はこれをかしらにしたのであった。

¹¹Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: all the sons and brothers of Hosah were thirteen.

¹¹次はヒルキヤ、第三はテバリヤ、第四はゼカリヤである。ホサの子たちと兄弟たちは合わせて十三人である。

¹²Of these were the divisions of the doorkeepers, even of the chief men, having offices like their brothers, to minister in the house of Yahweh.

¹⁴The lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counselor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.

¹⁴東の門のくじはシレミヤに当った。また彼の子で思慮深い議士ゼカリヤのためにくじを引いたが、北の門のくじがこれに当った。

¹⁵To Obed-Edom southward; and to his sons the storehouse.

¹⁶To Shuppim and Hosah westward, by the gate of Shallecheth, at the causeway that goes up, watch against watch.

¹⁶シュパムとホサには西の門のくじが当った。これは坂の大路にあるシャレケテの門のかたわらにあった。守る者と守る者とが相対していた。

¹⁷Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and for the storehouse two and two.

²²The sons of Jehieli: Zetham, and Joel his brother, over the treasures of the house of Yahweh.

²²エヒエリ、ゼタムおよびその兄弟ヨエルの子たちは主の宮の倉をつかさどった。

²³Of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites, of the Uzzielites:

²³アムラムびと、イヅハルびと、ヘブロンびと、ウジエルびとのうちでは次のとおりであった。

²⁴and Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler over the treasures.

²⁴すなわちモーセの子ゲルショムの子シブエルは倉のつかさであった。

²⁵His brothers: of Eliezer, Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son.

²⁵その兄弟でエリエゼルから出た者は、その子はレハビヤ、その子はエサヤ、その子はヨラム、その子はジクリ、その子はシロミテである。

²⁶This Shelomoth and his brothers were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the heads of the fathers’ households, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the army, had dedicated.

²⁶このシロミテとその兄弟たちはすべての聖なる物の倉をつかさどった。これはダビデ王と、氏族の長と、千人の長と、百人の長と、軍の長たちのささげたものである。

²⁷They dedicated some of the spoil won in battles to repair the house of Yahweh.

²⁷すなわち彼らが戦いで獲たぶんどり物のうちから主の宮の修繕のためにささげたものである。

²⁸All that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated, whoever had dedicated anything, it was under the hand of Shelomoth, and of his brothers.

²⁸またすべて先見者サムエル、キシの子サウル、ネルの子アブネル、ゼルヤの子ヨアブなどがささげた物。すべてこれらのささげ物はシロミテとその兄弟たちが管理した。

²⁹Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.

²⁹イヅハルびとのうちでは、ケナニヤとその子たちが、つかさおよびさばきびととしてイスラエルの外事のために選ばれた。

³⁰Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brothers, men of valor, one thousand seven hundred, had the oversight of Israel beyond the Jordan westward, for all the business of Yahweh, and for the service of the king.

³⁰ヘブロンびとのうちでは、ハシャビヤおよびその兄弟など勇士千七百人があって、ヨルダンのこなた、すなわち西の方でイスラエルの監督となり、主のすべての事を行い、王に奉仕した。

³¹Of the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even of the Hebronites, according to their generations by fathers’ households. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valor at Jazer of Gilead.

³¹ヘブロンびとのうちでは、系図と氏族によってエリヤがヘブロンびとの長であったが、ダビデの治世の第四十年に彼らを尋ね求め、ギレアデのヤゼルで彼らのうちから大勇士を得た。ダビデ王は彼とその兄弟など氏族の長たち二千七百人の勇士をルベンびと、ガドびと、マナセびとの半部族の監督となし、すべて神につける事と王の事とをつかさどらせた。

³²His brothers, men of valor, were two thousand seven hundred, heads of fathers’ households, whom king David made overseers over the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half-tribe of the Manassites, for every matter pertaining to God, and for the affairs of the king.

³²ダビデ王は彼とその兄弟など氏族の長たち二千七百人の勇士をルベンびと、ガドびと、マナセびとの半部族の監督となし、すべて神につける事と王の事とをつかさどらせた。
