¹He showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of Yahweh, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.

²Yahweh said to Satan, “Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! Yes, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?”

²主はサタンに言われた、「サタンよ、主はあなたを責めるのだ。すなわちエルサレムを選んだ主はあなたを責めるのだ。これは火の中から取り出した燃えさしではないか」。

³Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the angel.

³ヨシュアは汚れた衣を着て、み使の前に立っていたが、

⁴He answered and spoke to those who stood before him, saying, “Take the filthy garments off of him.” To him he said, “Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich clothing.”

⁴み使は自分の前に立っている者どもに言った、「彼の汚れた衣を脱がせなさい」。またヨシュアに向かって言った、「見よ、わたしはあなたの罪を取り除いた。あなたに祭服を着せよう」。

⁵I said, “Let them set a clean turban on his head.” So they set a clean turban on his head, and clothed him; and the angel of Yahweh was standing by.

⁵わたしは言った、「清い帽子を頭にかぶらせなさい」。そこで清い帽子を頭にかぶらせ、衣を彼に着せた。主の使はかたわらに立っていた。

⁶The angel of Yahweh protested to Joshua, saying,

⁷“Thus says Yahweh of Armies: ‘If you will walk in my ways, and if you will follow my instructions, then you also shall judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you a place of access among these who stand by.

⁷「万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、あなたがもし、わたしの道に歩み、わたしの務を守るならば、わたしの家をつかさどり、わたしの庭を守ることができる。わたしはまた、ここに立っている者どもの中に行き来することを得させる。

⁸Hear now, Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows who sit before you; for they are men who are a sign: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant, the Branch.

⁸大祭司ヨシュアよ、あなたも、あなたの前にすわっている同僚たちも聞きなさい。彼らはよいしるしとなるべき人々だからである。見よ、わたしはわたしのしもべなる枝を生じさせよう。

⁹For, behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua; on one stone are seven eyes: behold, I will engrave its engraving,’ says Yahweh of Armies, ‘and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

⁹万軍の主は言われる、見よ、ヨシュアの前にわたしが置いた石の上に、すなわち七つの目をもっているこの一つの石の上に、わたしはみずから文字を彫刻する。そしてわたしはこの地の罪を、一日の内に取り除く。万軍の主は言われる、その日には、あなたがたはめいめいその隣り人を招いて、ぶどうの木の下、いちじくの木の下に座すのである」。

¹⁰In that day,’ says Yahweh of Armies, ‘you will invite every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree.’”
