¹The angel who talked with me came again, and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep.

¹わたしと語った天の使がまた来て、わたしを呼びさました。わたしは眠りから呼びさまされた人のようであった。

²He said to me, “What do you see?” I said, “I have seen, and behold, a lampstand all of gold, with its bowl on the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon; there are seven pipes to each of the lamps, which are on the top of it;

²彼がわたしに向かって「何を見るか」と言ったので、わたしは言った、「わたしが見ていると、すべて金で造られた燭台が一つあって、その上に油を入れる器があり、また燭台の上に七つのともしび皿があり、そのともしび皿は燭台の上にあって、これにおのおの七本ずつの管があります。

³and two olive trees by it, one on the right side of the bowl, and the other on the left side of it.”

³また燭台のかたわらに、オリブの木が二本あって、一本は油をいれる器の右にあり、一本はその左にあります」。

⁴I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?”

⁴わたしはまたわたしと語る天の使に言った、「わが主よ、これらはなんですか」。

⁵Then the angel who talked with me answered me, “Don’t you know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.”

⁵わたしと語る天の使は答えて、「あなたはそれがなんであるか知らないのですか」と言ったので、わたしは「わが主よ、知りません」と言った。

⁶Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, “This is the word of Yahweh to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says Yahweh of Armies.

⁶すると彼はわたしに言った、「ゼルバベルに、主がお告げになる言葉はこれです。万軍の主は仰せられる、これは権勢によらず、能力によらず、わたしの霊によるのである。

⁷Who are you, great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you are a plain; and he will bring out the capstone with shouts of ‘Grace, grace, to it!’”

⁷大いなる山よ、おまえは何者か。おまえはゼルバベルの前に平地となる。彼は『恵みあれ、これに恵みあれ』と呼ばわりながら、かしら石を引き出すであろう」。

⁸Moreover the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

⁸主の言葉がわたしに臨んで言うには、

⁹“The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house. His hands shall also finish it; and you will know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you.

⁹「ゼルバベルの手はこの宮の礎をすえた。彼の手はこれを完成する。その時あなたがたは万軍の主が、わたしをあなたがたにつかわされたことを知る。

¹⁰Indeed, who despises the day of small things? For these seven shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. These are the eyes of Yahweh, which run back and forth through the whole earth.”

¹⁰だれでも小さい事の日をいやしめた者は、ゼルバベルの手に、下げ振りのあるのを見て、喜ぶ。これらの七つのものは、あまねく全地を行き来する主の目である」。

¹¹Then I asked him, “What are these two olive trees on the right side of the lampstand and on the left side of it?”

¹¹わたしはまた彼に尋ねて、「燭台の左右にある、この二本のオリブの木はなんですか」と言い、

¹²I asked him the second time, “What are these two olive branches, which are beside the two golden spouts, that pour the golden oil out of themselves?”

¹²重ねてまた「この二本の金の管によって、油をそれから注ぎ出すオリブの二枝はなんですか」と言うと、

¹³He answered me, “Don’t you know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.”

¹³彼はわたしに答えて、「あなたはそれがなんであるか知らないのですか」と言ったので、「わが主よ、知りません」と言った。すると彼は言った、「これらはふたりの油そそがれた者で、全地の主のかたわらに立つ者です」。

¹⁴Then he said, “These are the two anointed ones who stand by the Lord The word translated “Lord” is “Adonai.” of the whole earth.”
