1So let a man think of us as Christ’s servants, and stewards of God’s mysteries.
1Ilaq a ɣ-ḥesben yemdanen belli d iqeddacen kan n Lmasiḥ i nella, d wid i gwekkel Sidi Ṛebbi i wessefhem n lbaḍna-ines.
2Here, moreover, it is required of stewards, that they be found faithful.
2Acu i nețṛaǧu deg win i nwekkel ɣef lḥaǧa ? Nețṛaǧu a nețkel fell-as !
3But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by man’s judgment. Yes, I don’t judge my own self.
3Nekk, ur iyi-d-tewqiɛ ara ma yella tesḍelmem-iyi kunwi neɣ ma isseḍlem-iyi ccṛeɛ n yemdanen ; nekk daɣen ur sḍelmeɣ ara iman-iw,
4For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this, but he who judges me is the Lord.
4ɣas akken ur iyi-isseḍlem ara wul-iw, mačči d ayagi ara d-isbeggnen belli d aḥeqqi i lliɣ, axaṭer d Sidi Ṛebbi ara yi-ḥasben.
5Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each man will get his praise from God.
5Daymi ur țḥasabet ara uqbel lweqt, uqbel tuɣalin n Ssid-nneɣ ; d nețța ara d-isbeggnen s tafat-is ayen yeffren di ṭṭlam, ara d-ibeggnen daɣen ayen yeffren deg wulawen. Imiren yal yiwen ad isɛu ccan yuklal ɣer Sidi Ṛebbi.
6Now these things, brothers, I have in a figure transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that in us you might learn not to think beyond the things which are written, that none of you be puffed up against one another.
6Ay atmaten, ayen akka i d-nniɣ fell-i akk-d Abulus nniɣ-t-id iwakken aț-țfehmem lmeɛna n lemtel-agi : « Ur țɛeddit ara akkin i tilas n wayen yuran » ; ilaq yiwen ur ixeddem lxilaf ger yemdanen, iwakken ad izuxx s yiwen deg-sen.
7For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn’t receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?
7Ihi anwa i k-yessulin ccan sennig wiyaḍ ? Acu ur k-d-nekki ara s ɣuṛ Ṛebbi deg wayen akk tesɛiḍ ? Imi d nețța i k-d-yefkan, acuɣeṛ i tețcekkiṛeḍ iman-ik am akken mačči s ɣuṛ-es i k-d-yekka ?
8You are already filled. You have already become rich. You have come to reign without us. Yes, and I wish that you did reign, that we also might reign with you.
8Atan teṛwam yakan, tuɣalem d imeṛkantiyen ! Tuɣalem d imḍebbṛen mbla nukni, acḥal bɣiɣ lemmer ț-țideț tzemrem i yiman-nwen iwakken a nḍebbeṛ s tdukli !
9For, I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last of all, like men sentenced to death. For we are made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and men.
9Nukni yellan d imceggɛen n Lmasiḥ, yefka-yaɣ Ṛebbi imukan ineggura ; aql-aɣ am wid ibuṣan, am wid i tețɛassa lmut, tfeṛṛeǧ deg-nneɣ ddunit meṛṛa, am lmalayekkat, am yemdanen.
10We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You have honor, but we have dishonor.
10Nukni d imehbal ɣef ddemma n Lmasiḥ, ma d kunwi d iɛeqliyen di tikli-nwen akk-d Lmasiḥ ! Nukni nefcel, kunwi tesɛam tazmert ; nukni nețwaḥqeṛ ma d kunwi tesɛam ccan !
11Even to this present hour we hunger, thirst, are naked, are beaten, and have no certain dwelling place.
11Ar tura, aql-aɣ neqqim i laẓ d fad, neɛra, nețwet, nețmenṭar si tama ɣer tayeḍ ;
12We toil, working with our own hands. When people curse us, we bless. Being persecuted, we endure.
12nețɛețțib iman nneɣ a nexdem iwakken a d-nawi aɣṛum-nneɣ s ifassen-nneɣ. M'ara ɣ-reggmen nukni nețbarak-iten, m'ara ɣ-țqehhiṛen nukni nețțawi-yasen,
13Being defamed, we entreat. We are made as the filth of the world, the dirt wiped off by all, even until now.
13m'ara d-inin ayen n diri fell-aneɣ nenehhu-ten. Ar tura ḥesben-aɣ am iḍumman n ddunit, am ineggura n yemdanen.
14I don’t write these things to shame you, but to admonish you as my beloved children.
14Ur wen-d-uriɣ ara ayagi iwakken a kkun-sneḥcameɣ, meɛna iwakken a kkun-sfehmeɣ am arraw iw i ḥemmleɣ.
15For though you have ten thousand tutors in Christ, yet not many fathers. For in Christ Jesus, I became your father through the Good News.
15Ɣas ma llan ɛecṛa alaf yemdanen i kkun isselmaden deg webrid n Lmasiḥ, yiwen n baba-twen kan i tesɛam di Lmasiḥ, imi d nekk i kkun-id-yewwin ɣer webrid n Lmasiḥ s Lexbaṛ n lxiṛ.
16I beg you therefore, be imitators of me.
16A kkun-weṣṣiɣ ihi aț-țeddum am akken ddiɣ nekkini.
17Because of this I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways which are in Christ, even as I teach everywhere in every assembly.
17Ɣef wayagi i wen-ceggɛeɣ Timuti, mmi eɛzizen di Lmasiḥ, iḍuɛen Sidi Ṛebbi iwakken a wen-d-yesmekti amek i leḥḥuɣ deg webrid n Lmasiḥ, akken i t-sselmadeɣ di mkul tajmaɛt n watmaten.
18Now some are puffed up, as though I were not coming to you.
18Kra deg-wen ikcem-iten zzux, ɣilen ur n-țṛuḥuɣ ara a kkun-ẓreɣ ?
19But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord is willing. And I will know, not the word of those who are puffed up, but the power.
19Meɛna ma yebɣa Sidi Ṛebbi, qṛib a n-aseɣ ɣuṛ-wen. Ad ẓreɣ widak-agi yețzuxxun, mačči d imeslayen-nsen kan iwumi ara ḥesseɣ meɛna ad waliɣ ayen iwumi izemren.
20For the Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.
20Axaṭer tazmert n tgeldit n Sidi Ṛebbi mačči d imeslayen kan ara ț-id-isbeggnen, meɛna d lecɣal.
21What do you want? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?
21D acu i tebɣam ? A n-aseɣ ɣuṛ wen s uɛekkaz, neɣ s wul yeččuṛen d leḥmala akk-d leḥnana ?
