Kabyle: New Testament

1 Timothy

2

1I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men:
1Ayen i ɣef ara kkun-weṣṣiɣ di tazwara, ḥemmdet cekkṛet Sidi Ṛebbi, ssuturet di tẓallit, deɛɛut ɣuṛ-es ɣef yemdanen meṛṛa.
2for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence.
2Deɛɛut ɣef yigelliden d wid akk yeṭṭfen imukan n lḥekma iwakken a nɛic di lisser ț-țalwit, a nḍuɛ Sidi Ṛebbi s lḥeṛma d leqdeṛ.
3For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior;
3Ayagi d ayen yelhan, d ayen iɛeǧben i Sidi Ṛebbi amsellek-nneɣ,
4who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth.
4axaṭer yebɣa imdanen meṛṛa ad issinen tideț yerna ad țțuselken.
5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
5Yiwen n Ṛebbi i gellan, yiwen umcafeɛ daɣen i gellan ger yemdanen d Ṛebbi ; amcafeɛ-agi, d Ɛisa Lmasiḥ
6who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times;
6i gefkan iman-is d asfel i leslak n yemdanen meṛṛa. D wagi i d țțbut i d-yefka Sidi Ṛebbi di lweqt-is ;
7to which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth in Christ, not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
7daymi i d-țțuceggɛeɣ iwakken ad beccṛeɣ, ad slemdeɣ i leǧnas ibeṛṛaniyen ayen yeɛnan liman ț-țideț. Ayen akka i d-qqaṛeɣ ț-țideț mačči d lekdeb.
8I desire therefore that the men in every place pray, lifting up holy hands without anger and doubting.
8Bɣiɣ ihi ad ilin di mkul amkan yergazen ireffden ifassen ɣer Ṛebbi s wul yeṣfan, mbla lɣecc d yir axemmem.
9In the same way, that women also adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and propriety; not just with braided hair, gold, pearls, or expensive clothing;
9Akken daɣen i glaq ad xedment tilawin, ad ilint s llebsa isseṭren, ad sɛunt lḥeṛma d neyya, ur țzewwiqent acebbub-nsent, ur țcebbiḥent iman-nsent s ddheb, s tɛeqcin akk-d llebsa ifazen,
10but (which becomes women professing godliness) with good works.
10meɛna ad cebbḥent iman-nsent s lecɣal yelhan, akken ilaq ad xedment tilawin yețḍuɛun Sidi Ṛebbi.
11Let a woman learn in quietness with all subjection.
11Ilaq-as i tmeṭṭut aț-țḥesses i uselmed s tsusmi d wannuz.
12But I don’t permit a woman to teach, nor to exercise authority over a man, but to be in quietness.
12Ur qebbleɣ ara aț-țesselmed tmeṭṭut neɣ aț-țdebbeṛ ɣef wergaz meɛna aț-țețsusum ( ur d-teggar ara iman-is ).
13For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
13Axaṭer d Adem i d-yețwaxelqen d amezwaru d wamek i d-terna ?ewwa ; f+
14Adam wasn’t deceived, but the woman, being deceived, has fallen into disobedience;
14mačči d Adem i geɣwa Cciṭan meɛna d ?ewwa i wumi ikellex f+ armi i tɛuṣṣa Sidi Ṛebbi,
15but she will be saved through her childbearing, if they continue in faith, love, and sanctification with sobriety.
15lameɛna aț-țețțusellek s tarwa-s f+ ma tețțeddu s ṣṣfa d neyya di liman d leḥmala.
