1 Timothy

4

1But the Spirit says expressly that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons,
1Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen ixebbeṛ-ed ɛinani belli deg ussan ineggura, aṭas ara iwexxṛen ɣef liman di Lmasiḥ, ad tebɛen wid i ten-ițɣuṛṛun s uselmed i d-yețțasen s ɣuṛ leǧnun.
2through the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, branded in their own conscience as with a hot iron;
2A ten-ɣuṛṛen wat sin wudmawen yețbecciṛen lekdeb, wid iwumi yemmut wul am akken yețwaqqed s useffud.
3forbidding marriage and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
3Imdanen-agi bɣan ad ḥeṛṛmen zzwaǧ akk-d kra n leṣnaf n lmakla, lameɛna Sidi Ṛebbi ixleq-ed kullec iwakken wid yumnen yis yessnen tideț, a t-ḥemden a t-cekkṛen.
4For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with thanksgiving.
4Ayen akk i d-ixleq Sidi Ṛebbi yelha, ur ilaq ara a nerr kra di rrif, acu kan ilaq a t-ncekkeṛ ɣef wayen i ɣ-d-ițțak,
5For it is sanctified through the word of God and prayer.
5axaṭer ayen akk i d yețwaxelqen iṣeffu-t wawal n Ṛebbi akk-d țẓallit.
6If you instruct the brothers of these things, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished in the words of the faith, and of the good doctrine which you have followed.
6Ssefhem-asen ayagi i watmaten iwakken aț-țiliḍ d aqeddac yelhan n Ɛisa Lmasiḥ, sseǧhed iman-ik di liman s wawal n Sidi Ṛebbi d uselmed n tideț i ttebɛeḍ s wul yeṣfan.
7But refuse profane and old wives’ fables. Exercise yourself toward godliness.
7Ma ț-țimucuha n temɣaṛin ur nesɛi ara lmeɛna i gxulfen liman, ḍeggeṛ-itent akkin fell-ak. Issin amek ara telḥuḍ deg ubrid n Sidi Ṛebbi .
8For bodily exercise has some value, but godliness has value in all things, having the promise of the life which is now, and of that which is to come.
8Tazzla deg wannar d ayen yelhan meɛna tenfeɛ i lǧețța kan, ma ṭṭaɛa n Sidi Ṛebbi tenfeɛ i kullec axaṭer deg-s i tella tudert n tura akk-d ț-țin i d-iteddun i ɣ-iwɛed Sidi Ṛebbi.
9This saying is faithful and worthy of all acceptance.
9Awal-agi d awal n tideț yuklalen ad ițwaqbel ɣer yemdanen meṛṛa.
10For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we have set our trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.
10Ma d nukni nețɛețțib iman-nneɣ iwakken a neǧhed di liman, imi nețkel ɣef Sidi Ṛebbi Illu-nneɣ yeddren yellan d amsellek n yemdanen meṛṛa abeɛda wid yumnen yis.
11Command and teach these things.
11Atan wayen i ɣef ara tweṣṣiḍ imdanen d wayen ara sen-teslemḍeḍ.
12Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.
12?uṛ-ek a k-iḥqeṛ yiwen imi meẓẓiyeḍ di leɛmeṛ, meɛna ili-k d lemtel ger wid yumnen s yimeslayen-ik, s tikli-inek, s leḥmala-inek, s liman-inek ț-țezdeg n wul-ik.
13Until I come, pay attention to reading, to exhortation, and to teaching.
13Sɛedday lweqt-ik di leqṛaya d ubecceṛ d uselmed n wawal n Ṛebbi i wiyaḍ, alamma usiɣ-en.
14Don’t neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the elders.
14Ur țțaǧa ara di rrif tikci i k-d-ițțunefken s ṛṛeḥma n Sidi Ṛebbi d yimeslayen s wayes i d-caren fell-ak di tejmaɛt mi ssersen ifassen-nsen fell-ak imeqqranen n tejmaɛt.
15Be diligent in these things. Give yourself wholly to them, that your progress may be revealed to all.
15Err ddehn-ik ɣer wayagi txedmeḍ-t akken ilaq, iwakken imdanen meṛṛa ad walin amek i tețnerniḍ di tikli-inek di Lmasiḥ.
16Pay attention to yourself, and to your teaching. Continue in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
16?ader ɣef yiman-ik d wayen i tesselmadeḍ i wiyaḍ, ma tkemmleḍ akken, d leslak ara d-tawiḍ i keččini akk-d wid i k-yesmeḥsisen.
