Kabyle: New Testament

1 Timothy

5

1Don’t rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers;
1Ur țlummu ara ɣef wemɣaṛ s leɛyaḍ, meɛna nhu-t am akken d baba-k ; enhu daɣen ilmeẓyen am akken d atmaten-ik,
2the elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, in all purity.
2tamɣaṛt am yemma-k, tilmeẓyin am yessetma-k, s wul yeṣfan.
3Honor widows who are widows indeed.
3Qadeṛ tuǧǧal f+ telhuḍ ț-țid yeḥwaǧen lemɛawna.
4But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety towards their own family, and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
4Ma ț-țid yesɛan dderya neɣ dderya n warraw-nsent, ilaq d nutni ara d-yelhun yid-sent, akka ara d-sbeggnen ṭṭaɛa-nsen ɣer Sidi Ṛebbi m'ara rren lxiṛ i imawlan-nsen, ayagi d ayen i gɛeǧben i Sidi Ṛebbi.
5Now she who is a widow indeed, and desolate, has her hope set on God, and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.
5Taǧǧalt i gellan weḥd-es ur nesɛi win ara ț-țirefden tețkel ɣef Sidi Ṛebbi tdeɛɛu ɣuṛ-es tețḥellil-it am yiḍ am ass.
6But she who gives herself to pleasure is dead while she lives.
6Ma ț-țaǧǧalt yeṭṭafaṛen zzhu n ddunit, tinna temmut ɣas mazal-iț tedder.
7Also command these things, that they may be without reproach.
7Atah wayen i ɣef ara tweṣṣiḍ tuǧǧal iwakken ur d-yețțili ara wayen ara sent-d-ssukksen.
8But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.
8Ma yella win ur nɛawen ara at wexxam-is abeɛda imawlan-is, atan yeǧǧa liman, yuɣal akteṛ n win ijehlen.
9Let no one be enrolled as a widow under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man,
9Taǧǧalt ilaq aț-țesɛu sețțin n iseggasen di leɛmeṛ-is iwakken a ț-tɛawen tejmaɛt, ilaq aț-țili tezweǧ yiwet n tikkelt kan.
10being approved by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work.
10Ilaq aț-țili tețwassen s lecɣal-is yelhan, ț-țin iṛebban arraw-is akken ilaq, isṭerḥiben deg wexxam-is, issarden iḍaṛṛen n iqeddacen n Sidi Ṛebbi ; treffed imeɣban, txeddem lxiṛ.
11But refuse younger widows, for when they have grown wanton against Christ, they desire to marry;
11Meɛna ur qebbel ara i tejmaɛt aț-țɛawen tuǧǧal meẓẓiyen di leɛmeṛ, axaṭer m'ara bɣunt ad ɛawdent zzwaǧ zemrent ad ǧǧent abrid n Lmasiḥ ;
12having condemnation, because they have rejected their first pledge.
12s wakka ad xedɛent lɛahed-nni i fkant i Sidi Ṛebbi.
13Besides, they also learn to be idle, going about from house to house. Not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.
13Yerna m'ur sɛint ara ayen ara xedment, ad țcalint seg wexxam ɣer wayeḍ mačči kan imi ur sɛint ara ccɣel, meɛna ad kettṛent deg yimeslayen ur nesɛi lmeɛna, ad ggarent iman-nsent deg wayen i tent-yexḍan.
14I desire therefore that the younger widows marry, bear children, rule the household, and give no occasion to the adversary for insulting.
15For already some have turned aside after Satan.
15Axaṭer llant seg-sent tid i geffɣen i webrid n Ṛebbi tebɛent abrid n Cciṭan.
16If any man or woman who believes has widows, let them relieve them, and don’t let the assembly be burdened; that it might relieve those who are widows indeed.
16Ma tella tin yumnen tesɛa tuǧǧal i s-yețțilin, d nețțat i glaq a tent tɛiwen iwakken ur țțilint ara ț țaɛkumt i tejmaɛt, akken daɣen tajmaɛt aț-țizmir aț-țɛiwen tid ur nesɛi ara win ara tent-irefden.
17Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching.
17Imdebbṛen n tejmaɛt ixeddmen ccɣel-nsen akken ilaq uklalen ad țwaxelṣen s zzyada abeɛda wid yenneɛtaben deg ubecceṛ d uselmed.
18For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain.” And, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”
18Axaṭer tira iqedsen nnant-ed : Ur țțara ara takmamt i wezger yesserwaten, f+ yura daɣen : Axeddam yuklal lexlaṣ-is. f+
19Don’t receive an accusation against an elder, except at the word of two or three witnesses.
19Ur qebbel ara win ara iccetkin ɣef wemdebbeṛ n tejmaɛt anagar ma ḥedṛen sin neɣ tlata inagan ara d-icehden fell-as.
20Those who sin, reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear.
20Ma d wid idenben, lumm-iten zdat medden meṛṛa iwakken ula d wiyaḍ ad aggaden.
21I command you in the sight of God, and Christ Jesus, and the chosen angels, that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.
21Di leɛnaya-k ɣef wudem n Ṛebbi d Sid-nneɣ Ɛisa Lmasiḥ akk-d lmalayekkat yețwaxtaṛen, deg wannect-agi meṛṛa ur xeddem ara lxilaf ger yemdanen.
22Lay hands hastily on no one, neither be a participant in other men’s sins. Keep yourself pure.
22Ur țɣawal ara aț-țesserseḍ ifassen ɣef yiwen, ur țekki ara di ddnubat n wiyaḍ ; ḥader iman-ik, qqim d azedgan.
23Be no longer a drinker of water only, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities.
23?ef ddemma n weqṛaḥ n tɛebbuṭ-ik i k-issefcalen, ur tess ara kan aman lameɛna sew ciṭṭuḥ n ccṛab.
24Some men’s sins are evident, preceding them to judgment, and some also follow later.
24Llan kra n yemdanen ddnubat-nsen țbanen-d uqbel ad țțuḥasben, llan wiyaḍ ddnubat-nsen ur d-țbanen ara imiren kan.
25In the same way also there are good works that are obvious, and those that are otherwise can’t be hidden.
25Akken daɣen i d-țbanen lecɣal lɛali, ma d lecɣal n diri ur zmiren ara ad qqimen ffren.
