2for the truth’s sake, which remains in us, and it will be with us forever:
2ɣef ddemma n tideț yellan deg-nneɣ ara yeqqimen deg-nneɣ i dayem.
3Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
3Ssmaḥ, ṛṛeḥma ț-țalwit a ɣ-d țțunefken s ɣuṛ Baba Ṛebbi d Mmi-s Ɛisa Lmasiḥ, iwakken a nɛic di tideț akk-d leḥmala.
4I rejoice greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, even as we have been commanded by the Father.
4Acḥal feṛḥeɣ imi ufiɣ kra seg warraw-im teddun deg webrid n tideț, akken i ɣ-t-id-yumeṛ Baba Ṛebbi.
5Now I beg you, dear lady, not as though I wrote to you a new commandment, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
5Ihi tura a tajmaɛt n Kirya, ayen i nețṛaǧu deg-wen : a nemyeḥmal wway gar-aneɣ, mačči d lameṛ ajdid i wen-d-wwiɣ lameɛna d lameṛ yellan yakan si tazwara.
6This is love, that we should walk according to his commandments. This is the commandment, even as you heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it.
6Leḥmala, d m'ara nțeddu deg webrid n Sidi Ṛebbi nḥerrez lumuṛat-is. S lameṛ-agi i teslam si tazwara i glaq aț-țeddum.
7For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who don’t confess that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the Antichrist.
7Aṭas n wid yesselmaden lekdeb i d-innulfan di ddunit, ur setɛeṛfen ara belli Ɛisa Lmasiḥ yusa-d ɣer ddunit s ṣṣifa n wemdan. D wigi i gețɣuṛṛun, i d iɛdawen n Lmasiḥ.
8Watch yourselves, that we don’t lose the things which we have accomplished, but that we receive a full reward.
8?adret iman-nwen iwakken ur a wen-yețṛuḥu ara wayen akk i wen-nesselmed lameɛna aț-țɣelltem lfayda tameqqrant.
9Whoever transgresses and doesn’t remain in the teaching of Christ, doesn’t have God. He who remains in the teaching, the same has both the Father and the Son.
9Kra n win ara iɛeddin tilas deg wayen yesselmed Lmasiḥ, ur yeṭṭif ara di Ṛebbi ; ma d win yeṭṭfen deg uselmed n Lmasiḥ yeṭṭef di Baba Ṛebbi akk-d Mmi-s.
10If anyone comes to you, and doesn’t bring this teaching, don’t receive him into your house, and don’t welcome him,
10Kra n win ara d-yasen ɣuṛ-wen m'ur wen-d-yewwi ara aselmed-agi n Lmasiḥ ur sṭerḥibet ara yis ɣer yexxamen-nwen, ur țsellimet ara ula d sslam fell-as !
11for he who welcomes him participates in his evil works.
11Axaṭer win i gesṭerḥben yis, yețțekki di lecɣal-is n diri.
12Having many things to write to you, I don’t want to do so with paper and ink, but I hope to come to you, and to speak face to face, that our joy may be made full.
12Mazal-iyi aṭas n lecɣal i ɣef bɣiɣ a wen-d-hedṛeɣ lameɛna mačči di tebṛaț, ssarameɣ a n-aseɣ ɣuṛ-wen, a wen-mmeslayeɣ s yimi-w, iwakken lfeṛḥ-nneɣ ad innekmal.
