2Ṛṛeḥma ț-țalwit a wen-d țțunefkent s ɣuṛ Sidi Ṛebbi.
3We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, The word for “brothers” here and where context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you towards one another abounds;
3Ay atmaten eɛzizen, imi liman-nwen simmal yețnerni, simmal tețțemyeḥmalem wway gar-awen, eɛni mačči d lḥeqq ma nețḥemmid Sidi Ṛebbi fell-awen am iḍ am ass ?
4so that we ourselves boast about you in the assemblies of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you endure.
4Newweḍ armi nețzuxxu yis-wen di yal tajmaɛt n watmaten, nețțawi-kkun d lemtel axaṭer ɣas akken tenneɛtabem tețwaqehṛem, tṣebrem, teṭṭfem di liman-nwen.
5This is an obvious sign of the righteous judgment of God, to the end that you may be counted worthy of the Kingdom of God, for which you also suffer.
5Sidi Ṛebbi d bab n lḥeqq, ma yella iɛemmed aț-țenneɛtabem akkagi, yebɣa a kkun-yerr d wid yuklalen tagelda-ines ; ț-țagelda-agi i ɣef tenneɛtabem.
6Since it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who afflict you,
6Axaṭer Sidi Ṛebbi yellan d Bab n lḥeqq, a d-yerr leqheṛ ɣef wid i kkun-ițqehhiṛen,
7and to give relief to you who are afflicted with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,
7a kkun-iṣebber yid-nneɣ, kunwi yețwaqehṛen. Ayagi a d-idṛu asm'ara d-yuɣal Ssid-nneɣ Ɛisa Lmasiḥ, m'ara d-iṣubb seg igenwan nețța d lmalayekkat-is
8giving vengeance to those who don’t know God, and to those who don’t obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus,
8di tlemmast n uḥeǧǧaǧu n tmes iwakken ad iɛaqeb wid iɛuṣan Sidi Ṛebbi, ur neqbil ara lexbaṛ n lxiṛ n Sidna Ɛisa.
9who will pay the penalty: eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might,
9Lɛiqab ara ten-id-yasen, ț-țawaɣit ur nețfaka, Sidi Ṛebbi a ten-iḥeṛṛem ɣef udem-is, ur țwalin ara lɛaḍima-s.
10when he comes to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired among all those who have believed (because our testimony to you was believed) in that day.
10Ayagi a d-idṛu asm'ara d-yas Sidna Ɛisa ; ass-nni wid yumnen yis ad tɛeǧǧben deg-s, a t-ḥemden m'ara t-walin di lɛaḍima-s ! Ula d kunwi aț-țilim gar-asen axaṭer tumnem s lexbaṛ n lxiṛ i wen-nbecceṛ.
11To this end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire of goodness and work of faith, with power;

12that the name of our Lord Jesus TR adds “Christ” may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
