1You were made alive when you were dead in transgressions and sins,
1Zik-nni, tellam am wid yemmuten ɣef ddemma n tuccḍa-nwen akk-d ddnubat-nwen ;
2in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience;
2tețɛicim di ddnub, tewwi-kkun ddunit, tḍefṛem Cciṭan, sselṭan n ddunit-agi i gțekellixen ar tura wid ur nḍuɛ ara Sidi Ṛebbi.
3among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.
3Nukni daɣen, zik-nni am nutni i nella ; nettabaɛ ixemmimen-nneɣ, ccehwat-nneɣ, nxeddem lebɣi n tnefsit-nneɣ, nella nuklal urrif n Sidi Ṛebbi am wiyaḍ.
4But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,
4Lameɛna imi i geččuṛ Sidi Ṛebbi d ṛṛeḥma, yerna leḥmala-ines ɣuṛ-nneɣ ț-țameqqrant,
5even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
5yerra-yaɣ-d ɣer tudert akk-d Lmasiḥ, nukni yellan am wid yemmuten ɣef sebba n ddnubat-nneɣ. S ṛṛeḥma n Sidi Ṛebbi i tețwasellkem.
6and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
6S tdukli-nneɣ akk-d Ɛisa Lmasiḥ, Sidi Ṛebbi isseḥya-ɣ-ed akk-d Lmasiḥ yerna yesɣim-aɣ yid-es deg igenwan,
7that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus;
7iwakken di leqṛun i d-iteddun, a d-tban acḥal meqqṛit ṛṛeḥma-ines akk-d leḥnana-s i ɣ-d-isbeggen s Ɛisa Lmasiḥ.
8for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
8S ṛṛeḥma n Sidi Ṛebbi kan i tețwasellkem, mi tumnem. Ayagi mačči d ayen i d-ikan s ɣuṛ-wen lameɛna ț-țukci n Sidi Ṛebbi.
9not of works, that no one would boast.
9Mačči s lḥasanat-nwen i tețwasellkem akken yiwen ur ițzuxxu s yiman is ;
10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.
11Therefore remember that once you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “uncircumcision” by that which is called “circumcision,” (in the flesh, made by hands);
11Kunwi ur nelli ara seg wegdud n wat Isṛail, iwumi qqaṛen wat Isṛail : « A wid ur neḍhiṛ » axaṭer nutni ḥesben iman-nsen ḍehṛen ɣef ddemma n ṭṭhaṛa-nni i sɛan di lɛadda-nsen,
12that you were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
12mmektit-ed amek i tellam zik : di lweqt-nni tellam tbeɛdem ɣef Lmasiḥ, d ibeṛṛaniyen ur nelli ara seg ugdud i gextaṛ Sidi Ṛebbi, ur tețțekkam di lemɛahdat i sen-iwɛed, ur tesɛim asirem, ur tessinem Sidi Ṛebbi.
13But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ.
13Meɛna imi tumnem s Ɛisa Lmasiḥ, kunwi yellan zik tbeɛdem fell-as, tura tqeṛṛbem-d ɣuṛ-es s idammen-is yuzzlen ɣef ddemma-nwen.
14For he is our peace, who made both one, and broke down the middle wall of partition,
14Axaṭer d Lmasiḥ s yiman-is i d lehna-nneɣ, imi i gesdukkel at Isṛail d leǧnas nniḍen yerra-ten d yiwen n wegdud. Mi gefka iman-is d asfel, ihudd lḥiḍ-nni i ten-ifeṛqen, i ten-yerran d iɛdawen ;
15having abolished in the flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace;
15yesseɣli tazmert n ccariɛa yerna lewṣayat akk-d leqwanen-ines, iwakken a d-issufeɣ si snat ccetlat-agi, yiwen kan n wegdud ajdid ara yamnen yis ; s wakka i d-issers lehna.
16and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, having killed the hostility thereby.
16S lmut-is ɣef wumidag i ten-issemṣaleḥ d Sidi Ṛebbi, ikkes tiɛdawit yellan gar-asen, isdukkel sin leǧnas-agi yerra-ten d yiwen wegdud.
17He came and preached peace to you who were far off and to those who were near.
17Yusa-d a wen-ibecceṛ lexbaṛ n lxiṛ , yewwi-awen-d lehna ama i kunwi yellan tbeɛdem ɣef Ṛebbi, ama i wat Isṛail iqeṛben ɣuṛ-es ;
18For through him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.
18axaṭer yis i nezmer am kunwi am nukni, a nqeṛṛeb meṛṛa ɣer Baba Ṛebbi, s yiwen n Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen.
19So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God,
19Ihi tura, kunwi ur nelli ara seg wat Isṛail, ur tellim ara d ibeṛṛaniyen neɣ d imsebriden, meɛna tețțekkam di tejmaɛt n wegdud n Sidi Ṛebbi, tuɣalem d iɛeyyalen n twacult-is.
20being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone;
20Tuɣalem d axxam yebnan ɣef lsas i ssersen ṛṛusul akk-d lenbiya, Ɛisa Lmasiḥ s yiman-is i d azṛu alemmas yeṭṭfen lebni.
21in whom the whole building, fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord;
21D nețța i gessalayen lebni, yesseǧhad-it iwakken ad yuɣal d lǧameɛ iqedsen n Sidi Ṛebbi.
22in whom you also are built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.
22S tdukli-nwen akk-d Lmasiḥ, ula d kunwi tețțekkam di lebni-agi, iwakken aț-țilim d axxam anda yezdeɣ Sidi Ṛebbi s Ṛṛuḥ-is.
