Galatians

3

1Foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you not to obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly set forth among you as crucified?
1Ay at Galasya ur nessin leṣlaḥ nsen ! Anwa i kkun-iseḥḥren kunwi iwumi i d-nessefhem akken ilaq lmut n Ɛisa Lmasiḥ ɣef wumidag ?
2I just want to learn this from you. Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
2?ef wayagi kan i bɣiɣ a kkun steqsiɣ : amek i wen-d-ițțunefk Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen, imi i txeddmem ayen i d-teqqaṛ ccariɛa neɣ imi teslam yerna tumnem s lexbaṛ n lxiṛ n Lmasiḥ ?
3Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now completed in the flesh?
3Eɛni ixuṣṣ-ikkun leɛqel ? Amek, di tazwara tețțeklem ɣef Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen, tura tebɣam aț-țețțeklem ɣef yiman-nwen ?
4Did you suffer so many things in vain, if it is indeed in vain?
4Eɛni ayen akk i tenɛețțabem iṛuḥ baṭel ? Ur ḥsiɣ ara iṛuḥ baṭel !
5He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you, and works miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
5Win i wen-d-ifkan Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen, ixeddmen lbeṛhanat gar-awen, eɛni ixeddem-iten imi i tettabaɛem ccariɛa neɣ imi tumnem s lexbaṛ n lxiṛ iwumi teslam ?
6Even as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.”
6Akken yura : Ibṛahim yumen s Ṛebbi, yețkel fell-as, daymi i t-iḥseb Sidi Ṛebbi d aḥeqqi.
7Know therefore that those who are of faith, the same are children of Abraham.
7Ilaq aț-țfehmem ihi, wid iteddun s liman, d nutni i d arraw n tideț n Sidna Ibṛahim.
8The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the Good News beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you all the nations will be blessed.”
8Si zik i d-ixebbeṛ Sidi Ṛebbi di tira iqedsen belli ad yerr leǧnas ur nelli ara n wat Isṛail d iḥeqqiyen ɣef ddemma n liman nsen, mi genna i Sidna Ibṛahim lexbaṛ-agi n lxiṛ : Leǧnas meṛṛa n ddunit ad țțubarken yis-ek ;
9So then, those who are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.
9ihi kra n win yumnen s Ṛebbi akken yumen yis Ibṛahim, ad ițțubarek am nețța.
10For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who doesn’t continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.”
10Axaṭer wid yettabaɛen ccariɛa iwakken ad țwaqeblen ɣer Ṛebbi, deɛwessu tezga fell-asen imi yura : ad ițwanɛel kra n win yettabaɛen ccariɛa, ur nxeddem ara ayen akk yuran deg-s.
11Now that no man is justified by the law before God is evident, for, “The righteous will live by faith.”
11Ula d yiwen ur izmir ad yuɣal d aḥeqqi zdat Ṛebbi s ccariɛa, ayagi d ayen ibanen imi yura : Aḥeqqi ad yidir s liman.
12The law is not of faith, but, “The man who does them will live by them.”
12Abrid n ccariɛa d webrid n liman mxalafen, imi yura : d win ara ixedmen ayen akk i d-teqqaṛ ccariɛa ara yesɛun tudert n dayem.
13Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,”
13Lmasiḥ icufeɛ-aɣ-d si deɛwessu n ccariɛa, d nețța i gețwaneɛlen deg umkan-nneɣ ; axaṭer yura : ițwanɛel kra n win ițwaɛelqen ɣer ttejṛa.
14that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
14Ayagi yedṛa-d iwakken s Ɛisa Lmasiḥ, leǧnas ur nelli ara n wat Isṛail ad weṛten lbaṛaka i gefka Sidi Ṛebbi i Ibṛahim ; s liman ara ɣ-d ițțunefk Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen i ɣ-iwɛed Sidi Ṛebbi.
15Brothers, speaking of human terms, though it is only a man’s covenant, yet when it has been confirmed, no one makes it void, or adds to it.
15Ay atmaten, a wen-d-fkeɣ lemtel yellan di lɛaddat-nneɣ : m'ara yexdem yiwen leɛqed akken ilaq, yiwen ur izmir a t-inkeṛ neɣ a s-yernu kra.
16Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He doesn’t say, “To seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “To your seed,” which is Christ.
16Ihi, Sidi Ṛebbi yefka lemɛahda i Ibṛahim akk-d win ara d-ilalen seg-s, ( ur d-yenni ara : i wid ara d-ilalen seg-s am akken aṭas i gellan ). Di tira iqedsen yura : i win ara d-ilalen seg-k ; win i ɣef yura wayagi, d Lmasiḥ.
17Now I say this. A covenant confirmed beforehand by God in Christ, the law, which came four hundred thirty years after, does not annul, so as to make the promise of no effect.
17Atah wayen bɣiɣ a d-iniɣ : di tazwara Sidi Ṛebbi yesbedd leɛqed akken ilaq, ccariɛa i d-yusan ṛebɛa meyya utlatin iseggasen deffir-es, ur tezmir ara aț-țemḥu leɛqed-agi, neɣ m'ulac aț-țeɣli lqima n lemɛahda n Sidi Ṛebbi.
18For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no more of promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by promise.
18Lemmer si ccariɛa ara newṛet leslak, acuɣeṛ lemɛahda ? Axaṭer s lemɛahda-agi i d-ibeggen Sidi Ṛebbi ṛṛeḥma-s i Ibṛahim.
19What then is the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the seed should come to whom the promise has been made. It was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.
19Acuɣeṛ ihi i d-tețțunefk ccariɛa ? Tețțunefk-ed iwakken a d-tesbeggen belli nɛuṣa lumuṛ n Sidi Ṛebbi, alamma yusa-d win akken ara d ilalen si dderya n Ibṛahim iwumi d tețțunefk lemɛahda. D lmalayekkat i d-yewwin ccariɛa ɣer ufus n Sidna Musa iwakken a ț-id-issiweḍ i yemdanen.
20Now a mediator is not between one, but God is one.
20Sidi Ṛebbi iceggeɛ-ed amdan iwakken a d-yessiweḍ ccariɛa i wiyaḍ, meɛna ur iḥwaǧ ara amdan iwakken ad isbedd leɛqed yid-sen.
21Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could make alive, most certainly righteousness would have been of the law.
21Eɛni ccariɛa txulef lemɛahdat n Sidi Ṛebbi ? Xaṭi ! Lemmer ccariɛa tezmer a d-tefk tudert i wemdan, tili yezmer wemdan ad yuɣal d aḥeqqi zdat Ṛebbi s ccariɛa.
22But the Scriptures imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
22Lameɛna tira iqedsen nnant-ed : ddunit meṛṛa tella seddaw tezmert n ddnub ; iwacu ? Iwakken lemɛahda n Sidi Ṛebbi aț-țețțunefk i yemdanen meṛṛa ɣef ddemma n liman-nsen di Ɛisa Lmasiḥ.
23But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, confined for the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
23Uqbel a d-yas lweqt i deg ara namen s Lmasiḥ, nella seddaw leḥkum n ccariɛa, armi d ass i deg i d-yedheṛ webrid n liman.
24So that the law has become our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
24S wakka, nețțuṛebba-d s ccariɛa armi d asmi d-yusa Lmasiḥ iwakken a ɣ-yerr d iḥeqqiyen zdat Ṛebbi s liman.
25But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
25Tura yusa-d lweqt i deg ara namen s Lmasiḥ, ifuk fell-aneɣ leḥkum n ccariɛa.
26For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus.
26Axaṭer tuɣalem akk d arraw n Sidi Ṛebbi s liman di Ɛisa Lmasiḥ.
27For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
27Kunwi akk yețwaɣeḍsen s yisem n Lmasiḥ, tețɛicim tudert tajḍiṭ yellan di Lmasiḥ.
28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
28Tura ulac lxilaf ger wat Isṛail d iyunaniyen, ger waklan d iḥeṛṛiyen, ger yergazen ț-țilawin, axaṭer kunwi akk tuɣalem d yiwen di Ɛisa Lmasiḥ.
29If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to promise.
29Yerna ma tellam d ayla n Lmasiḥ, aql-ikkun si dderya n Ibṛahim, wid ara iweṛten akken i t-id-iwɛed Sidi Ṛebbi.
