Galatians

5

1Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
1Ɛisa Lmasiḥ isellek-aɣ iwakken a nesɛu tilleli n tideț. Ihi ḥerzet tilelli-agi, ḥadret aț-țuɣalem d aklan !
2Behold, I, Paul, tell you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will profit you nothing.
2?esset-iyi-d ! Nekk Bulus, nniɣ awen-d : ma yella tḍehṛem, Lmasiḥ ur kkun-infiɛ ara.
3Yes, I testify again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
3Yerna ad ɛawdeɣ a d-iniɣ i yal argaz i gḍehṛen, belli ilzem ad ixdem ayen akk i d-tenna ccariɛa.
4You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace.
4Kunwi yețnadin aț-țuɣalem d iḥeqqiyen zdat Ṛebbi s ccariɛa, ur d-yeqqim wacemma gar-awen d Lmasiḥ, tețwaḥeṛmem si ṛṛeḥma n Sidi Ṛebbi.
5For we, through the Spirit, by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.
5Ma d nukni, nessaram a ɣ-yerr Sidi Ṛebbi d iḥeqqiyen zdat-es ; ayagi nețṛaǧu-t s Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen akk-d liman.
6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision amounts to anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith working through love.
6Axaṭer, di tikli-nneɣ akk-d Ɛisa Lmasiḥ, neḍheṛ neɣ ur neḍhiṛ ara, ayagi ur yesɛi ara azal ; ayen yesɛan azal, d liman i d-țbegginen lecɣal i nxeddem s leḥmala.
7You were running well! Who interfered with you that you should not obey the truth?
7Di tazwara tewwim abrid ilaqen, anwa i kkun-issufɣen i webrid n tideț ?
8This persuasion is not from him who calls you.
8Ṛṛay-agi ur d-yekki ara s ɣuṛ Sidi Ṛebbi i wen-d-issawlen.
9A little yeast grows through the whole lump.
9Akken qqaṛen : « Ciṭṭuḥ n temtunt ( iɣes n temtunt ) yessalay akk arukti.»
10I have confidence toward you in the Lord that you will think no other way. But he who troubles you will bear his judgment, whoever he is.
10Lameɛna Sidi Ṛebbi ihedden ul-iw fell-awen, țekleɣ belli ur tețxemmimem ara akken nniḍen. Lameɛna win i kkun-icewwlen, akken ibɣu yili, a t-iɛaqeb Sidi Ṛebbi.
11But I, brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been removed.
11Lemmer mazal nehhuɣ ar tura ɣef ṭṭhaṛa, iwacu i yi-mazal țwaqehṛeɣ ? Tili lexbaṛ i nețbecciṛ ɣef Lmasiḥ ițwasemmṛen ɣef wumidag, ur yețțili d ugur ula i yiwen.
12I wish that those who disturb you would cut themselves off.
12Wid-nni i kkun-icewwlen ɣef ṭṭhaṛa ad ṛuḥen ihi ad ɛegben iman-nsen.
13For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.
13Ay atmaten, Sidi Ṛebbi ifka yawen tilelli, ur d-țafet ara sebba s wayes ara txedmem s tlelli-agi lebɣi n tnefsit-nwen ; lameɛna beggnet-ed lmaḥibba yellan gar-awen.
14For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
14Axaṭer lameṛ i gesdukklen meṛṛa ccariɛa d wagi : ḥemmel lɣiṛ-ik am yiman-ik .
15But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don’t consume one another.
15Ma yella tețțemkerracem am lewḥuc yerna wa itețț wa, ḥadret iman-nwen neɣ m'ulac yiwen ad issenger wayeḍ.
16But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh.
16Ddut ihi s lebɣi n Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen, iwakken ur txeddmem ara lebɣi n tnefsit-nwen.
17For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.
17Axaṭer lebɣi n tnefsit ixulef lebɣi n Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen, akken daɣen lebɣi n Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen ixulef lebɣi n tnefsit ; d iɛdawen wway gar-asen, daymi ur tezmirem ara aț-țxedmem akken tebɣam.
18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
18Lameɛna ma yella tleḥḥum s lebɣi n Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen, atan ihi ur tellim ara seddaw leḥkum n ccariɛa.
19Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness,
19Axaṭer, lefɛayel n tnefsit țbanen : zzna, leḥṛam, lefsad,
20idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies,
20zzyaṛa n lemqamat, ssḥur, lkeṛh, ccwal, tismin, zzɛaf, wid yebɣan a d-kken sennig wiyaḍ, assexṛeb, wid ifeṛqen ț-țirebbaɛ,
21envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
21ṭṭmeɛ, ssekṛan, at iɛebbaḍ ur nesɛi lqaɛ d wayen akk ițemcabin ɣer wayagi meṛṛa. Ɛeggneɣ-awen-d am akken i wen-d-nniɣ yakan : wid i gxeddmen lecɣal-agi ur seɛɛun ara amkan di tgelda n Sidi Ṛebbi.
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,
22Lameɛna atan wayen i d-itekken si Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen : leḥmala, lfeṛḥ, lehna, ṣṣbeṛ, lehhu, leḥnana, liman,
23gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
23ul yeṣfan, aɣlab n tnefsit ; eɛni ccariɛa tugi annect-agi ?
24Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
24Wid yellan n Ɛisa Lmasiḥ, semmṛen ɣef wumidag lebɣi n tnefsit-nsen, s ccehwat-is d umenni ines.
25If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit.
25Imi d Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen i ɣ-d ifkan tudert, ilaq-aɣ ihi a neddu di lebɣi ines.
26Let’s not become conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another.
26Ur ilaq a nessimɣuṛ iman nneɣ, ur ilaq a nețnaɣ neɣ a nețțemyasam wway-gar-aneɣ.
