Luke

16

1He also said to his disciples, “There was a certain rich man who had a manager. An accusation was made to him that this man was wasting his possessions.
1Sidna Ɛisa yenna daɣen i inelmaden-is : -- Yiwen wergaz d ameṛkanti yesɛa lewkil ; lewkil-agi ccetkan fell-as ɣer umɛellem-is nnan-as : « lewkil-ik ițḍeggiɛ ayla-k ».
2 He called him, and said to him, ‘What is this that I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’
2Amɛellem-is issawel-as yenna yas : « d acu-ten imeslayen-agi i sliɣ fell-ak ? Efk-iyi-d leḥsab ɣef wayen akk i d-teskecmeḍ d wayen i tessufɣeḍ, axaṭer sya d asawen ur tețțiliḍ ara d lewkil-iw ».
3 “The manager said within himself, ‘What will I do, seeing that my lord is taking away the management position from me? I don’t have strength to dig. I am ashamed to beg.
3Lewkil-agi ixemmem deg iman-is yenna : d acu ara xedmeɣ imi amɛellem-iw ad iyi ikkes amkan-iw ? Ad xedmeɣ akal... Ur zmireɣ ara ! Ad țreɣ.... ssetḥaɣ !
4 I know what I will do, so that when I am removed from management, they may receive me into their houses.’
4?riɣ d acu ara xedmeɣ, iwakken m'ara yi-istixxeṛ umɛellem-iw, ad afeɣ wid ara yi-iɛiwnen !
5 Calling each one of his lord’s debtors to him, he said to the first, ‘How much do you owe to my lord?’
5Yessawel-asen yiwen yiwen i wid akk yesɛan ṭṭlaba ɣer umɛellem-is. Yenna i umezwaru : « Acḥal i k-ițalas umɛellem-iw ? »
6 He said, ‘A hundred batos of oil.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’
6Argaz-nni yerra-yas-d : « Meyya yecbuyla n zzit uzemmur. » Yenna-yas : « sellek awi-d leḥsab ik, qqim taruḍ xemsin ».
7 Then he said to another, ‘How much do you owe?’ He said, ‘A hundred cors of wheat.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’
7Yenna daɣen i wayeḍ : « i keččini, acḥal i k-ițalas ? » Yenna-yas-d : « meyya tcekkaṛin n yirden. » Yenna-yas : « awi-d leḥsab-ik, qqim taruḍ tmanyin».
8 “His lord commended the dishonest manager because he had done wisely, for the children of this world are, in their own generation, wiser than the children of the light.
8Amɛellem n lewkil-nni axeddaɛ icekkeṛ-it ɣef tiḥeṛci-ines axaṭer arraw n ddunit-agi ḥeṛcen di lecɣal wway gar-asen akteṛ n warraw n tafat.
9 I tell you, make for yourselves friends by means of unrighteous mammon, so that when you fail, they may receive you into the eternal tents.
9Ma d nekk atan a wen-d iniɣ: sxedmet adrim n ddunit-agi iwakken aț-țesɛum imdukkal, s wakka asm'ara yefnu cci n ddunit, aț-țețțuqeblem di tmezduɣin n dayem.
10 He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.
10Ma nesɛa laman deg yiwen ɣef tɣawsiwin timecṭuḥin, a nețkel fell-as ula ɣef tmeqqranin ; win yellan d axeddaɛ di tɣawsiwin timecṭuḥin, ad yili d axeddaɛ ula di tmeqqranin.
11 If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
11Ma yella tețḍeggiɛem leṛẓaq n ddunit-agi, anwa ara kkun-iwekklen ɣef leṛẓaq n tideț ?
12 If you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?
12Ma yella ulac daɣen laman deg-wen ɣef wayen i wen-iwekkel walebɛaḍ, amek ara wen-d-yefk Sidi Ṛebbi ayen i wen-ihegga i kunwi ?
13 No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. You aren’t able to serve God and mammon .”
13Ulac aqeddac ara iqedcen ɣef sin yemɛellmen : ma iḥemmel yiwen ad ikṛeh wayeḍ neɣ ma yeṭṭef deg yiwen ur yețțak ara lqima i wayeḍ. Ur tezmirem ara aț-țqedcem ɣef Ṛebbi ma yella tettabaɛem leṛẓaq n ddunit agi.
14The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they scoffed at him.
14Ifariziyen i gesmeḥsisen i wayen i d-iqqaṛ Sidna Ɛisa, stehzayen fell-as axaṭer nutni ḥemmlen idrimen ;
15He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts. For that which is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.
15ma d nețța yenna-yasen : Tesbegginem-d iman-nwen d iḥeqqiyen zdat medden, meɛna Sidi Ṛebbi yessen ulawen-nwen ; ayen yesɛan ccan ɣer yemdanen di ddunit-agi, d ayen yețwakeṛhen ɣer Sidi Ṛebbi.
16 The law and the prophets were until John. From that time the Good News of the Kingdom of God is preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.
16Uqbel lweqt n Yeḥya aɣeṭṭas, kullec iteddu s ccariɛa n Musa d wayen i d-xebbṛen lenbiya. Tura, lexbaṛ n lxiṛ yeɛnan tgelda n Ṛebbi ițțubecceṛ ; mkul yiwen yekkat amek ara ț-ikcem s ddreɛ.
17 But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one tiny stroke of a pen in the law to fall.
17Yeshel i igenni d lqaɛa ad fnun, ma d ccariɛa n Sidi Ṛebbi ur ițțanqas seg-s ula d yiwen n usekkil.
18 Everyone who divorces his wife, and marries another, commits adultery. He who marries one who is divorced from a husband commits adultery.
18Kra n win ara yebrun i tmeṭṭut-is iɛawed zzwaǧ, yezna ; kra n win ara yaɣen tameṭṭut yennebran, yezna daɣen.
19 “Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, living in luxury every day.
19Yiwen wergaz d ameṛkanti, ițlusu anagar llebsa ifazen n leḥrir aṛqaq ; mkul ass ixeddem tameɣṛa, ițɛici di zzhu d lfeṛḥ.
20 A certain beggar, named Lazarus, was laid at his gate, full of sores,
20Yiwen igellil isem-is Laɛẓar, iččuṛ d ideddiyen, ițɣimi ɣer tewwurt n umeṛkanti-nni,
21 and desiring to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table. Yes, even the dogs came and licked his sores.
21iṭṭamaɛ deg-s ad yečč ɣas d ayen i gɣellin ɣer lqaɛa ; ula d iqjan țțasen-d ad mecḥen ideddiyen-is.
22 It happened that the beggar died, and that he was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died, and was buried.
22Asmi yemmut uẓawali-nni, ddment-eț lmalayekkat wwint-eț ɣer igenni ɣer wanda yella Ibṛahim. Ameṛkanti-nni yemmut ula d nețța, meḍlen-t.
23 In Hades , he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far off, and Lazarus at his bosom.
23Di laxeṛt yenɛețțab aṭas, yerfed allen-is, iwala mebɛid Ibṛahim akk-d Laɛẓar ɣer tama-s.
24 He cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue! For I am in anguish in this flame.’
24Iɛeggeḍ yenna-yas : « A baba Ibṛahim, ḥunn fell-i ceggeɛ-ed Laɛẓar ad iger ulamma d ixef n uḍad-is deg waman ad issismeḍ iles-iw, aql-i nneɛtabeɣ aṭas deg uḥǧaǧu-yagi n tmes. »
25 “But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that you, in your lifetime, received your good things, and Lazarus, in the same way, bad things. But now here he is comforted and you are in anguish.
25Ibṛahim yerra-yas : A mmi, mmekti-d belli tewwiḍ amur-ik di ddunit ; ma d Laɛẓar yeṛwa lehmum. Tura nețța yețțuṣebbeṛ yufa dagi lfeṛḥ, kečč iṣaḥ-ik-id lqeṛḥ.
26 Besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, that those who want to pass from here to you are not able, and that none may cross over from there to us.’
26Yerna yella gar-aneɣ yiwen yeɣzeṛ annect ila-t, wid yebɣan ad zegren sya ɣuṛ-wen, ur zmiren ara ; kunwi daɣen ur tezmirem ara a d-zegrem ɣuṛ-nneɣ.
27 “He said, ‘I ask you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house;
27Ameṛkanti-nni yenna-yas : Ihi a baba Ibṛahim di leɛnaya-k ceggeɛ Laɛẓar ɣer wexxam n baba ;
28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, so they won’t also come into this place of torment.’
28ad iɛeggen i xemsa-nni wayetma, iwakken ur d-țțasen ara ula d nutni ɣer wemkan-agi n leɛtab.
29 “But Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets. Let them listen to them.’
29Ibṛahim yerra-yas : Atmaten-ik ɣuṛ-sen ccariɛa n Musa d lenbiya, a ten-tebɛen !
30 “He said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’
30Ameṛkanti-nni yenna-yas-d : A baba Ibṛahim, ur țḥessisen ara i ccariɛa d lenbiya lameɛna ma yuɣal ɣuṛ-sen yiwen syagi, ad beddlen tikli.
31 “He said to him, ‘If they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rises from the dead.’”
31Ibṛahim yerra-yas : M'ur semḥessen ara i ccariɛa n Musa d lenbiya, atan ɣas ma yuɣal yiwen si lmegtin ur as-smeḥsisen ara.
