¹⁴Cui toj cuan li c'ahînc ut li cakalînc êriq'uin, mênimobresi êrib chixyebal nak cuan êna'leb. Riq'uin xbânunquil a'an yôquex chi tic'ti'ic ut xmukbal lix yâlal.

¹⁵This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic.

¹⁵A'an mâcua' li na'leb naxq'ue li Dios. Xna'leb ban li ruchich'och'. A'an yal xc'a'uxeb cuînk ut q'uebil xban laj tza.

¹⁶For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.

¹⁶Bar nacuan cui' li cakalînc ut li k'etk'etil, aran ajcui' nacuan po'oc ch'ôlej ut yalak c'a'ru chi mâusilalil.

¹⁷But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

¹⁸Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
