¹ខ្ញុំសូមនិយាយសេចក្ដីពិត ដោយរួមជាមួយព្រះគ្រិស្ដ ខ្ញុំមិនកុហកទេ គឺខ្ញុំនិយាយដោយមានមនសិការរបស់ខ្ញុំផ្ទាល់ ជាសាក្សី និង ដោយមានព្រះវិញ្ញាណដ៏វិសុទ្ធបំភ្លឺថា

²that I have great sorrow and unceasing pain in my heart.

²ខ្ញុំមានទុក្ខព្រួយជាខ្លាំង ហើយឈឺចុកចាប់ក្នុងចិត្ដជានិច្ចផង

³For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brothers’ sake, my relatives according to the flesh,

³ដ្បិតខ្ញុំបន់អោយតែខ្លួនខ្ញុំត្រូវបណ្ដាសា បែកចេញពីព្រះគ្រិស្ដ ព្រោះតែបងប្អូន និង ញាតិសន្ដាន ដែលជាសាច់សាលោហិតរបស់ខ្ញុំផ្ទាល់

⁴who are Israelites; whose is the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service, and the promises;

⁴គឺសាសន៍អ៊ីស្រាអែល។ ព្រះជាម្ចាស់បានរាប់ពួកគេទុកជាបុត្ររបស់ព្រះអង្គ ពួកគេមានសិរីរុងរឿង មានសម្ពន្ធមេត្រី នានា មានគម្ពីរវិន័យ ស្គាល់របៀបគោរពបំរើព្រះអង្គ ទទួលព្រះបន្ទូលសន្យាផ្សេងៗ

⁵of whom are the fathers, and from whom is Christ as concerning the flesh, who is over all, God, blessed forever. Amen.

⁵មានបុព្វបុរស ហើយព្រះគ្រិស្ដក៏កើតមកជាមនុស្សក្នុងពូជពង្សរបស់ពួកគេថែមទៀតផង ព្រះអង្គជាព្រះជាម្ចាស់ដ៏ខ្ពង់ខ្ពស់លើអ្វីៗទាំងអស់សូមលើកតម្កើងព្រះអង្គអស់កល្បជានិច្ចអាម៉ែន!

⁶But it is not as though the word of God has come to nothing. For they are not all Israel, that are of Israel.

⁶ក៏ប៉ុន្ដែ មិនមែនមានន័យថា ព្រះបន្ទូលរបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់បែរទៅជាអសារឥតការនោះទេ ព្រោះអស់អ្នកដែលកើតមកពីពូជពង្សលោកអ៊ីស្រាអែល មិនមែនសុទ្ធតែជាសាសន៍អ៊ីស្រាអែលពិតប្រាកដឡើយ

⁷Neither, because they are Abraham’s seed, are they all children. But, “In Isaac will your seed be called.” Genesis 21:12

⁷ហើយអស់អ្នកដែលកើតពីពូជពង្សរបស់លោកអប្រាហាំ ក៏មិនមែនសុទ្ធតែជាកូនចៅរបស់លោកអប្រាហាំទាំងអស់គ្នាដែរ ដូចមានថ្លែងទុកមកថា «មានតែកូនចៅអ៊ីសាកប៉ុណ្ណោះ ដែលមានឈ្មោះថា ជាពូជពង្សរបស់អ្នក»

⁸That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as a seed.

⁸ពោលគឺមិនមែនកូនចៅដែលកើតមកតាមសាច់ឈាមធម្មតានោះទេ ដែលត្រូវរាប់ជាបុត្ររបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់មានតែកូនចៅដែលកើតមកតាមព្រះបន្ទូលសន្យាប៉ុណ្ណោះ ទើបរាប់ជាពូជពង្សបាន

⁹For this is a word of promise, “At the appointed time I will come, and Sarah will have a son.” Genesis 18:10,14

⁹ដ្បិតព្រះជាម្ចាស់មានព្រះបន្ទូលសន្យាថា «ឆ្នំាក្រោយ យើងនឹងមកក្នុងពេលដដែលនេះ ហើយនាងសារ៉ានឹងមានកូនប្រុសមួយ»។

¹⁰Not only so, but Rebecca also conceived by one, by our father Isaac.

¹⁰មិនតែប៉ុណ្ណោះសោត នាងរេបិកាក៏មានផ្ទៃពោះនឹងបុរសតែមួយ គឺលោកអ៊ីសាកជាបុព្វបុរសរបស់យើង។

¹¹For being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him who calls, NA puts the phrase “not of works, but of him who calls” at the beginning of verse 12 instead of the end of verse 11.

¹¹ព្រះជាម្ចាស់មានគំរោងការជ្រើសរើសមនុស្ស ដោយមិនគិតពីអំពើដែលគេប្រព្រឹត្ដនោះទេ គឺជ្រើសរើសតាមព្រះហឫទ័យរបស់ព្រះអង្គដែលត្រាស់ហៅ។ ដើម្បីអោយបានស្របតាមគំរោងការនេះ នៅពេលកូនភ្លោះនៅក្នុងផ្ទៃ ពុំទាន់បានប្រព្រឹត្ដអំពើល្អ ឬ អាក្រក់នៅឡើយផងនោះ

¹²it was said to her, “The elder will serve the younger.” Genesis 25:23

¹²ទ្រង់ក៏មានព្រះបន្ទូលទៅនាងរេបិកាថា«កូនច្បងនឹងបំរើកូនប្អូន»

¹³Even as it is written, “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.” Malachi 1:2-3

¹³ដូចមានចែងទុកមកថា «យើងស្រឡាញ់យ៉ាកុបជាងអេសាវ»។

¹⁴What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? May it never be!

¹⁴ដូច្នេះ តើយើងត្រូវគិតដូចម្ដេច? តើព្រះជាម្ចាស់អយុត្ដិធម៌ឬ? ទេមិនមែនទេ!

¹⁵For he said to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” Exodus 33:19

¹⁵ដ្បិតព្រះអង្គមានព្រះបន្ទូលទៅកាន់លោកម៉ូសេថាៈ «យើងនឹងមានចិត្ដមេត្ដាករុណាដល់នរណា ដែលយើងមេត្ដាករុណា ហើយយើងក៏នឹងអាណិតអាសូរនរណាដែលយើងអាណិតអាសូរដែរ»។

¹⁶So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who has mercy.

¹⁶ដូច្នេះ មិនមែនស្រេចតែបំណងចិត្ដ ឬការខំប្រឹងប្រែងរបស់មនុស្សឡើយ គឺស្រេចតែព្រះជាម្ចាស់ ដែលមានព្រះហឫទ័យមេត្ដាករុណានោះវិញ

¹⁷For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I caused you to be raised up, that I might show in you my power, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” Exodus 9:16

¹⁷ដ្បិតក្នុងគម្ពីរ ព្រះជាម្ចាស់មានព្រះបន្ទូលទៅកាន់ស្ដេចផារ៉ោនថា«យើងបានតាំងអ្នកជាស្ដេចដើម្បីបង្ហាញឫទ្ធានុភាពរបស់យើងតាមរយៈអ្នក និង អោយកិត្ដិនាមរបស់យើងបានឮខ្ចរខ្ចាយពាសពេញលើផែនដីទាំងមូល»។

¹⁸So then, he has mercy on whom he desires, and he hardens whom he desires.

¹⁸ដូច្នេះ ព្រះអង្គមេត្ដាករុណាដល់នរណាក៏បាន ស្រេចតែនឹងព្រះហឫទ័យរបស់ព្រះអង្គព្រះអង្គធ្វើអោយចិត្ដនរណាទៅជារឹងរូសក៏បាន ស្រេចតែព្រះហឫទ័យរបស់ព្រះអង្គដែរ។

¹⁹You will say then to me, “Why does he still find fault? For who withstands his will?”

¹⁹ប្រហែលជាអ្នកសួរខ្ញុំថា«បើដូច្នេះ ម្ដេចក៏ព្រះជាម្ចាស់នៅតែបន្ទោសមនុស្សទៀត? តើមាននរណាអាចប្រឆាំងនឹងព្រះហឫទ័យរបស់ព្រះអង្គ?»។

²⁰But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed ask him who formed it, “Why did you make me like this?” Isaiah 29:16; 45:9

²⁰ឱមនុស្សអើយ តើអ្នកមានឋានៈអ្វីបានជាហ៊ានជជែកតវ៉ានឹងព្រះជាម្ចាស់បែបនេះ? តើដីឥដ្ឋមានដែលនិយាយទៅកាន់ជាងស្មូនថា «ហេតុអ្វីបានជាលោកធ្វើអោយខ្ញុំមានរូបរាងយ៉ាងនេះ»ដែរឬទេ?។

²¹Or hasn’t the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel for honor, and another for dishonor?

²¹ជាងស្មូនយកដីទៅសូនធ្វើអ្វីក៏បាន គឺដីឥដ្ឋដដែលគាត់អាចយកទៅសូនធ្វើជារបស់ថ្លៃថ្នូរផង ហើយសូនធ្វើជារបស់ធម្មតាផង។

²²What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath made for destruction,

²²រីឯព្រះជាម្ចាស់វិញ ព្រះអង្គសព្វព្រះហឫទ័យបង្ហាញព្រះពិរោធ និង សំដែងឫទ្ធានុភាពរបស់ព្រះអង្គ។ ដូច្នេះ ទ្រង់មានព្រះហឫទ័យអត់ធ្មត់យ៉ាងខ្លាំង ទ្រង់ស៊ូទ្រាំនឹងអស់អ្នកដែលត្រូវរងព្រះពិរោធហើយត្រូវវិនាសអន្ដរាយ។

²³and that he might make known the riches of his glory on vessels of mercy, which he prepared beforehand for glory,

²³ព្រះអង្គក៏ចង់បង្ហាញសិរីរុងរឿងដ៏ប្រសើរលើសលប់របស់ព្រះអង្គចំពោះអស់អ្នកដែលព្រះអង្គមេត្ដាករុណាដែរ ជាអ្នកដែលព្រះអង្គបានតំរូវទុកជាមុនអោយទទួលសិរីរុងរឿង

²⁴us, whom he also called, not from the Jews only, but also from the Gentiles?

²⁴ពោលគឺយើងទាំងអស់គ្នាដែលព្រះអង្គបានត្រាស់ហៅ មិនត្រឹមតែពីក្នុងចំណោមសាសន៍យូដាប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ គឺពីក្នុងចំណោមជាតិសាសន៍ដទៃថែមទៀតផង

²⁵As he says also in Hosea, “I will call them ‘my people,’ which were not my people; and her ‘beloved,’ who was not beloved.” Hosea 2:23

²⁵ដូចមានថ្លែងទុកក្នុងគម្ពីរព្យាការី ហូសេថាៈ «អ្នកដែលមិនមែន ជាប្រជារាស្ដ្ររបស់យើង យើងនឹងហៅគេថាជាប្រជារាស្ដ្ររបស់យើង រីឯជាតិសាសន៍ដែលយើងមិនបានស្រឡាញ់ យើងនឹងហៅគេថាជាជាតិសាសន៍ដ៏ជាទីស្រឡាញ់របស់យើង

²⁶“It will be that in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ There they will be called ‘children of the living God.’” Hosea 1:10

²⁶ហើយត្រង់ណាដែលមានពោលទៅ អ្នកទាំងនោះថា"អ្នករាល់គ្នាមិនមែនជា ប្រជារាស្ដ្ររបស់យើងទេ!" ត្រង់នោះគេនឹងមានឈ្មោះថាជាបុត្រ របស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ដ៏មានព្រះជន្មរស់»។

²⁷Isaiah cries concerning Israel, “If the number of the children of Israel are as the sand of the sea, it is the remnant who will be saved;

²⁷រីឯព្យាការីអេសាយវិញ លោកបានប្រកាសអំពីសាសន៍អ៊ីស្រាអែលថាៈ ទោះបីសាសន៍អ៊ីស្រាអែលបានកើនចំនួនច្រើន ដូចខ្សាច់នៅឆ្នេរសមុទ្រហើយក៏ដោយ មានតែមួយចំនួនតូចសល់ពីស្លាប់ប៉ុណ្ណោះ ដែលនឹងទទួលការសង្គ្រោះ

²⁸for He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness, because the LORD will make a short work upon the earth.” Isaiah 10:22-23

²⁸ដ្បិតព្រះអម្ចាស់នឹងសំរេចតាមព្រះបន្ទូល របស់ព្រះអង្គគ្រប់ប្រការទាំងអស់ យ៉ាងឆាប់ៗនៅផែនដីនេះ។

²⁹As Isaiah has said before, “Unless the Lord of Armies Greek: Sabaoth (for Hebrew: Tze’va’ot) had left us a seed, we would have become like Sodom, and would have been made like Gomorrah.” Isaiah 1:9

²⁹មួយវិញទៀត ព្យាការីអេសាយក៏បានថ្លែងទុកជាមុនមកថាៈ ប្រសិនបើព្រះអម្ចាស់នៃពិភពទាំងមូល មិនបានទុកកូនចៅយើងមួយចំនួន អោយនៅសល់ទេ នោះយើងនឹងវិនាសទៅដូចជាអ្នកក្រុងសូដុម ហើយយើងក៏ប្រៀបបីដូចជាអ្នកក្រុង កូម៉ូរ៉ាដែរ។

³⁰What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who didn’t follow after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith;

³⁰ដូច្នេះ តើយើងត្រូវគិតដូចម្ដេច? សាសន៍ដទៃដែលពុំបានស្វះស្វែងរកសេចក្ដីសុចរិត បែរជាបានទទួលសេចក្ដីសុចរិតទៅវិញ គឺសេចក្ដីសុចរិតមកពីជំនឿ។

³¹but Israel, following after a law of righteousness, didn’t arrive at the law of righteousness.

³¹រីឯសាសន៍អ៊ីស្រាអែល គេខំប្រឹងធ្វើតាមក្រឹត្យវិន័យ ដែលផ្ដល់សេចក្ដីសុចរិត តែពួកគេពុំបានសុចរិតតាមវិន័យនោះឡើយ។

³²Why? Because they didn’t seek it by faith, but as it were by works of the law. They stumbled over the stumbling stone;

³²ហេតុអ្វីបានជាដូច្នេះ? គឺមកពួកគេពឹងលើការប្រព្រឹត្ដតាមវិន័យមិនពឹងលើជំនឿទេ។ ពួកគេជំពប់ដួលនឹង «ថ្មដែលនាំអោយគេជំពប់»

³³even as it is written, “Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and a rock of offense; and no one who believes in him will be disappointed.” Isaiah 8:14; 28:16

³³ដូចមានចែងទុកមកថាៈ យើងបានដាក់ថ្មមួយនៅក្រុងស៊ីយ៉ូន ជាថ្មដែលនាំអោយគេជំពប់ដួល ជាសិលាដែលនាំអោយគេរវាតចិត្ដបាត់ជំនឿ អ្នកណាជឿលើថ្មនេះ អ្នកនោះមុខជាមិនខកចិត្ដឡើយ។
