1When I came to you, brothers, I didn’t come with excellence of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.
1Ir aš, broliai, kai pas jus lankiausi, atėjau ne su gražbyliavimu ar išmintimi skelbti jums Dievo liudijimo.
2For I determined not to know anything among you, except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
2Nes aš nusprendžiau tarp jūsų nežinoti nieko, išskyrus Jėzų Kristų, ir Tą nukryžiuotą.
3I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.
3Aš buvau pas jus silpnas, išsigandęs ir labai drebėjau.
4My speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
4Mano kalba ir skelbimas pasižymėjo ne įtikinančiais žmogiškos išminties žodžiais, bet Dvasios ir jėgos parodymu,
5that your faith wouldn’t stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
5kad ir jūsų tikėjimas remtųsi ne žmogiška išmintimi, bet Dievo jėga.
6We speak wisdom, however, among those who are full grown; yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nothing.
6Tiesa, tarp subrendusiųjų mes skelbiame išmintį, tačiau tai išmintis ne šio pasaulio ir ne šio pasaulio valdovų, kurie pranyks.
7But we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds for our glory,
7Mes skelbiame paslaptingą ir paslėptą Dievo išmintį, kurią Dievas nuo amžių paskyrė mums išaukštinti,
8which none of the rulers of this world has known. For had they known it, they wouldn’t have crucified the Lord of glory.
8kurios nepažino jokie šio pasaulio valdovai, nes, jei būtų pažinę, nebūtų šlovės Viešpaties nukryžiavę.
9But as it is written, “Things which an eye didn’t see, and an ear didn’t hear, which didn’t enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him.” Isaiah 64:4
9Bet skelbiame, kaip parašyta: “Ko akis neregėjo, ko ausis negirdėjo, kas žmogui į širdį neatėjo, tai paruošė Dievas tiems, kurie Jį myli”.
10But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
10Dievas mums tai apreiškė per savo Dvasią, nes Dvasia visa ištiria, net Dievo gelmes.
11For who among men knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God, except God’s Spirit.
11Kas iš žmonių žino, kas yra žmogaus, jei ne paties žmogaus dvasia? Taip pat niekas nežino, kas yra Dievo, tik Dievo Dvasia.
12But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.
12O mes gavome ne pasaulio dvasią, bet Dvasią iš Dievo, kad suvoktume, kas mums Dievo dovanota.
13Which things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.
13Apie tai ir kalbame ne žodžiais, kurių moko žmogiškoji išmintis, bet tais, kurių moko Šventoji Dvasia,dvasinius dalykus gretindami su dvasiniais.
14Now the natural man doesn’t receive the things of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can’t know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
14Bet sielinis žmogus nepriima to, kas yra iš Dievo Dvasios, nes jam tai kvailystė; ir negali suprasti, nes tai dvasiškai vertinama.
15But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one.
15O dvasinis žmogus gali spręsti apie viską, bet niekas negali spręsti apie jį.
16“For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him?” Isaiah 40:13 But we have Christ’s mind.
16“Kas gi suvokė Viešpaties mintį, kad galėtų Jį pamokyti?” O mes turime Kristaus protą.
