1God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
1Dievas laimino Nojų bei jo sūnus ir tarė: “Būkite vaisingi, dauginkitės ir pripildykite žemę.
2The fear of you and the dread of you will be on every animal of the earth, and on every bird of the sky. Everything that the ground teems with, and all the fish of the sea are delivered into your hand.
2Tesibijo jūsų ir tedreba prieš jus visi žemės žvėrys, visi padangių sparnuočiai, visa, kas gyva žemėje, ir visos jūros žuvys. Visa tai atiduota į jūsų rankas.
3Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As the green herb, I have given everything to you.
3Visa, kas juda ir gyva, bus jums maistui; visa jums duodu, kaip daviau žaliuojančius augalus.
4But flesh with its life, its blood, you shall not eat.
4Tik mėsos su gyvybe, kuri yra kraujyje, nevalgykite.
5I will surely require your blood of your lives. At the hand of every animal I will require it. At the hand of man, even at the hand of every man’s brother, I will require the life of man.
5Iš tiesų už jūsų gyvybės kraują Aš pareikalausiu iš kiekvieno žvėries ir žmogaus, kuris pralietų savo brolio kraują.
6Whoever sheds man’s blood, his blood will be shed by man, for God made man in his own image.
6Kas pralieja žmogaus kraują, jo kraujas taip pat bus pralietas, nes žmogus sutvertas pagal Dievo atvaizdą.
7Be fruitful and multiply. Increase abundantly in the earth, and multiply in it.”
7Jūs būkite vaisingi ir dauginkitės, pliskite po žemę ir pripildykite ją!”
8God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,
8Dievas tarė Nojui ir jo sūnums kartu su juo:
9“As for me, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your offspring after you,
9“Aš darau sandorą su jumis ir jūsų palikuonimis, kurie gyvens po jūsų,
10and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the livestock, and every animal of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ship, even every animal of the earth.
10ir su visais gyvais padarais, visais paukščiais, galvijais ir žvėrimis, kurie išėjo su jumis iš arkos.
11I will establish my covenant with you: all flesh will not be cut off any more by the waters of the flood, neither will there ever again be a flood to destroy the earth.”
11Aš darau savo sandorą su jumis: jokio kūno nebepražudysiu tvano vandenimis, ir tvanas nebesunaikins žemės”.
12God said, “This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
12Ir Dievas tarė: “Ženklas sandoros, kurią darau tarp savęs ir jūsų bei visų gyvų padarų, kurie yra su jumis, per visas būsimas kartas
13I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it will be for a sign of a covenant between me and the earth.
13bus lankas debesyse. Jis tebūna sandoros ženklu tarp manęs ir žemės.
14It will happen, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow will be seen in the cloud,
14Sutelkęs debesis viršum žemės ir lankui pasirodžius debesyse,
15and I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the waters will no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
15atsiminsiu savo sandorą, kuri yra tarp manęs ir jūsų bei visų gyvų padarų, kad daugiau nebūtų tvano, sunaikinančio kiekvieną kūną žemėje.
16The rainbow will be in the cloud. I will look at it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”
16Kai lankas bus debesyse, Aš jį pamatysiu ir atsiminsiu amžinąją sandorą tarp Dievo ir visų gyvų padarų, turinčių kūną, kurie yra ant žemės”.
17God said to Noah, “This is the token of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth.”
17Dievas tarė Nojui: “Tai yra sandoros ženklas, kurią Aš darau tarp savęs ir kiekvieno kūno, gyvenančio žemėje”.
18The sons of Noah who went out from the ship were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Ham is the father of Canaan.
18Nojaus sūnūs, kurie išėjo iš arkos, buvo Semas, Chamas ir Jafetas; Chamas buvo Kanaano tėvas.
19These three were the sons of Noah, and from these, the whole earth was populated.
19Šie trys yra Nojaus sūnūs ir iš jų atsirado visi žemės gyventojai.
20Noah began to be a farmer, and planted a vineyard.
20Nojus pradėjo dirbti žemę ir įsiveisė vynuogyną.
21He drank of the wine and got drunk. He was uncovered within his tent.
21Išgėręs vyno, pasigėrė ir gulėjo apsinuoginęs savo palapinėje.
22Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.
22Chamas, Kanaano tėvas, pamatęs savo tėvo nuogumą, pasakė broliams, kurie buvo lauke.
23Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it on both their shoulders, went in backwards, and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were backwards, and they didn’t see their father’s nakedness.
23Semas ir Jafetas paėmė apsiaustą ir abu, užsimetę ant pečių, priėjo atbuli, ir apdengė savo tėvo nuogumą; jų veidai buvo nukreipti į priešingą pusę ir jie nematė savo tėvo nuogumo.
24Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his youngest son had done to him.
24Nojus, išsiblaivęs nuo vyno ir sužinojęs, ką jam padarė jaunesnysis sūnus,
25He said, “Canaan is cursed. He will be servant of servants to his brothers.”
25tarė: “Tebūna prakeiktas Kanaanas! Vergų vergas tebūna jis savo broliams!
26He said, “Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Shem. Let Canaan be his servant.
26Palaimintas Viešpats, Semo Dievas, o Kanaanas bus jo vergas!
27May God enlarge Japheth. Let him dwell in the tents of Shem. Let Canaan be his servant.”
27Teišplečia Dievas Jafetą, ir tegu jis gyvena Semo palapinėse, o Kanaanas bus jo vergas!”
28Noah lived three hundred fifty years after the flood.
28Tvanui praėjus, Nojus dar gyveno tris šimtus penkiasdešimt metų.
29All the days of Noah were nine hundred fifty years, then he died.
29Taigi Nojaus amžius buvo devyni šimtai penkiasdešimt metų, ir jis mirė.
