1It happened on one of those days, as he was teaching the people in the temple and preaching the Good News, that the TR adds “chief” priests and scribes came to him with the elders.

2They asked him, “Tell us: by what authority do you do these things? Or who is giving you this authority?”
2ir klausė Jį: “Pasakyk mums, kokią teisę turi taip daryti? Kas Tau davė šitą valdžią?”
3He answered them, “I also will ask you one question. Tell me:
3Jis jiems tarė: “Aš irgi paklausiu jus vieno dalyko, ir atsakykite man:
4 the baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?”
4ar Jono krikštas buvo iš dangaus, ar iš žmonių?”
5They reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Why didn’t you believe him?’
5Jie svarstė tarpusavyje: “Jei pasakysimeiš dangaus, Jis mus klaus: ‘Tai kodėl juo netikėjote?’
6But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a prophet.”
6O jei sakysimeiš žmonių, visa minia užmėtys mus akmenimis, nes žmonės įsitikinę, kad Jonas buvo pranašas”.
7They answered that they didn’t know where it was from.
7Ir jie atsakė, kad nežino iš kur.
8Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”
8Tada Jėzus jiems tarė: “Tai ir Aš jums nesakysiu, kokia valdžia tai darau”.
9He began to tell the people this parable. “A NU (in brackets) and TR add “certain” man planted a vineyard, and rented it out to some farmers, and went into another country for a long time.
9Jis pradėjo pasakoti žmonėms tokį palyginimą: “Vienas žmogus pasodino vynuogyną, išnuomojo jį vynininkams ir ilgesniam laikui iškeliavo svetur.
10 At the proper season, he sent a servant to the farmers to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard. But the farmers beat him, and sent him away empty.
10Atėjus metui, jis nusiuntė pas vynininkus tarną, kad tie jam duotų vynuogyno derliaus dalį. Tačiau vynininkai sumušė jį ir paleido tuščiomis.
11 He sent yet another servant, and they also beat him, and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.
11Jis vėl nusiuntė kitą tarną, bet ir tą jie sumušė, išjuokė ir paleido jį tuščiomis.
12 He sent yet a third, and they also wounded him, and threw him out.
12Tuomet jis pasiuntė dar trečią, bet jie ir šitą sužeidę išvarė.
13 The lord of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. It may be that seeing him, they will respect him.’
13Tada vynuogyno šeimininkas tarė: ‘Ką man daryti? Pasiųsiu savo mylimąjį sūnų, gal pamatę jie gerbs jį?’
14 “But when the farmers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.’
14Bet, išvydę sūnų, vynininkai ėmė tartis tarpusavyje: ‘Tai paveldėtojas. Užmuškime jį, kad mums atitektų palikimas’.
15 They threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do to them?
15Jie išmetė jį iš vynuogyno ir nužudė. Ką gi su jais darys vynuogyno savininkas?
16 He will come and destroy these farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.” When they heard it, they said, “May it never be!”
16Jis ateis ir išžudys tuos vynininkus, o vynuogyną atiduos kitiems”. Tai girdėjusieji tarė: “Tenebūna šitaip!”
17But he looked at them, and said, “Then what is this that is written, ‘The stone which the builders rejected, the same was made the chief cornerstone?’ Psalm 118:22
17Bet Jėzus, pažvelgęs į juos, paklausė: “O ką reiškia Rašto posakis: ‘Akmuo, kurį statytojai atmetė, tapo kertiniu akmeniu?’
18 Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but it will crush whomever it falls on to dust.”
18Kas tiktai kris ant šito akmens, suduš, o ant ko tas akmuo užgrius, tą sutriuškins”.
19The chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on him that very hour, but they feared the people—for they knew he had spoken this parable against them.
19Aukštieji kunigai ir Rašto žinovai norėjo dar tą pačią valandą Jį suimti, bet bijojo žmonių. Mat jie suprato, kad šis palyginimas buvo jiems taikomas.
20They watched him, and sent out spies, who pretended to be righteous, that they might trap him in something he said, so as to deliver him up to the power and authority of the governor.
20Jie patys atidžiai Jėzų stebėjo ir siuntinėjo šnipus, apsimetančius teisuoliais, kad, nutvėrę kokį Jo žodį, galėtų Jį atiduoti valdytojui nuteisti ir nubausti.
21They asked him, “Teacher, we know that you say and teach what is right, and aren’t partial to anyone, but truly teach the way of God.
21Taigi jie klausė Jį: “Mokytojau, mes žinome, kad Tu kalbi ir mokai teisingai. Tu neatsižvelgi į asmenis, bet mokai Dievo kelio, kaip reikalauja tiesa.
22Is it lawful for us to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”
22Ar reikia mums mokėti ciesoriui mokesčius, ar ne?”
23But he perceived their craftiness, and said to them, “Why do you test me?
23Suprasdamas jų klastą, Jis tarė jiems: “Kodėl spendžiate man pinkles?
24 Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription are on it?” They answered, “Caesar’s.”
24Parodykite man denarą. Kieno atvaizdas ir įrašas jame?” Jie atsakė: “Ciesoriaus”.
25He said to them, “Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
25Tada Jis jiems tarė: “Kas ciesoriaus, atiduokite ciesoriui, o kas DievoDievui”.
26They weren’t able to trap him in his words before the people. They marveled at his answer, and were silent.
26Taip jie nesugebėjo žmonių akivaizdoje sugauti Jo kalboje. Stebėdamiesi Jo atsakymu, jie nutilo.
27Some of the Sadducees came to him, those who deny that there is a resurrection.
27Pas Jį atėjo sadukiejų, kurie neigia mirusiųjų prisikėlimą, ir paklausė:
28They asked him, “Teacher, Moses wrote to us that if a man’s brother dies having a wife, and he is childless, his brother should take the wife, and raise up children for his brother.
28“Mokytojau, Mozė mums parašė: jei kieno brolis, turėdamas žmoną, mirtų bevaikis, tada jo brolis tegul veda jo žmoną ir pažadina savo broliui palikuonių.
29There were therefore seven brothers. The first took a wife, and died childless.
29Taigi buvo septyni broliai. Pirmasis vedė žmoną ir mirė bevaikis.
30The second took her as wife, and he died childless.
30Ją vedė antrasis ir taip pat mirė bevaikis.
31The third took her, and likewise the seven all left no children, and died.
31Paskui ją vedė trečiasis ir paeiliui visi septyni, ir jie mirė, nepalikdami vaikų.
32Afterward the woman also died.
32Po jų visų numirė ir ta moteris.
33Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them will she be? For the seven had her as a wife.”
33Kurio gi žmona ji bus prisikėlime? Juk ji buvo visų septynių žmona!”
34Jesus said to them, “The children of this age marry, and are given in marriage.
34Jėzus jiems atsakė: “Šio pasaulio vaikai veda ir teka,
35 But those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage.
35o kurie pasirodys verti pasiekti aną pasaulį ir mirusiųjų prisikėlimą, tie neves ir netekės.
36 For they can’t die any more, for they are like the angels, and are children of God, being children of the resurrection.
36Jie taip pat nebegalės ir mirti, nes, būdami prisikėlimo vaikai, bus lygūs angelams ir bus Dievo vaikai.
37 But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at the bush, when he called the Lord ‘The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ Exodus 3:6
37O kad mirusieji prisikels, nurodė ir Mozė pasakojime apie krūmą, kur jis Viešpatį vadina ‘Abraomo Dievu, Izaoko Dievu ir Jokūbo Dievu’.
38 Now he is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for all are alive to him.”
38Taigi Dievas nėra mirusiųjų Dievas, bet gyvųjų, nes visi Jam gyvena”.
39Some of the scribes answered, “Teacher, you speak well.”
39Tada kai kurie Rašto žinovai atsiliepė: “Mokytojau, Tu gerai pasakei!”
40They didn’t dare to ask him any more questions.
40Ir daugiau jie nedrįso nieko Jo klausti.
41He said to them, “Why do they say that the Christ is David’s son?
41Jis paklausė jų: “Kodėl sakoma, jog Kristus esąs Dovydo Sūnus?
42 David himself says in the book of Psalms, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand,
42Juk pats Dovydas Psalmių knygoje sako: ‘Viešpats tarė mano Viešpačiui: sėskis mano dešinėje,
43 until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet.”’ Psalm 110:1
43kol patiesiu Tavo priešus tarsi pakojį po Tavo kojų’.
44 “David therefore calls him Lord, so how is he his son?”
44Taigi Dovydas vadina Jį Viešpačiu,kaip tada Jis gali būti jo Sūnus?”
45In the hearing of all the people, he said to his disciples,
45Visiems žmonėms girdint, Jėzus tarė savo mokiniams:
46 “Beware of the scribes, who like to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts;
46“Saugokitės Rašto žinovų, kurie mėgsta vaikščioti ilgais drabužiais, būti sveikinami aikštėse, užimti pirmuosius krėslus sinagogose bei garbės vietas pokyliuose.
47 who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers: these will receive greater condemnation.”
47Jie suryja našlių namus ir dedasi kalbą ilgas maldas. Jie gaus dar didesnį pasmerkimą”.
