22

1Now the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the Passover, drew near.
1Artėjo Neraugintos duonos šventė, vadinama Pascha.
2The chief priests and the scribes sought how they might put him to death, for they feared the people.
2Aukštieji kunigai ir Rašto žinovai ieškojo būdo nužudyti Jėzų, nes bijojo žmonių.
3Satan entered into Judas, who was surnamed Iscariot, who was numbered with the twelve.
3O šėtonas įėjo į Judą, vadinamą Iskarijotu, vieną iš dvylikos.
4He went away, and talked with the chief priests and captains about how he might deliver him to them.
4Tas nuėjęs tarėsi su aukštaisiais kunigais ir sargybos viršininkais, kaip Jį išduoti.
5They were glad, and agreed to give him money.
5Šie apsidžiaugė ir sutarė duoti jam pinigų.
6He consented, and sought an opportunity to deliver him to them in the absence of the multitude.

7The day of unleavened bread came, on which the Passover must be sacrificed.
7Atėjo Neraugintos duonos diena, kada reikėjo pjauti Paschos avinėlį.
8He sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.”
8Jėzus pasiuntė Petrą ir Joną, liepdamas: “Eikite ir paruoškite mums valgyti Paschą”.
9They said to him, “Where do you want us to prepare?”
9Jie paklausė: “Kur nori, kad paruoštume?”
10He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him into the house which he enters.
10Jis atsakė: “Štai jums įeinant į miestą, jus pasitiks žmogus, vandens ąsočiu nešinas. Sekite paskui jį iki tų namų, į kuriuos jis įeis,
11 Tell the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’
11ir sakykite namų šeimininkui: ‘Mokytojas liepė paklausti: Kur svečių kambarys, kuriame galėčiau su mokiniais valgyti Paschą?’
12 He will show you a large, furnished upper room. Make preparations there.”
12Jis parodys jums didelį apstatytą aukštutinį kambarį. Ten ir paruoškite”.
13They went, found things as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover.
13Nuėję jie rado viską, kaip Jis sakė, ir paruošė Paschą.
14When the hour had come, he sat down with the twelve apostles.
14Atėjus metui, Jis sėdo prie stalo, ir dvylika apaštalų drauge su Juo.
15He said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer,
15Ir Jis tarė jiems: “Trokšte troškau valgyti su jumis šią Paschą prieš kentėdamas.
16 for I tell you, I will no longer by any means eat of it until it is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.”
16Sakau jums, nuo šiol daugiau jos nebevalgysiu, kol ji išsipildys Dievo karalystėje”.
17He received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, “Take this, and share it among yourselves,
17Paėmęs taurę, Jis padėkojo ir tarė: “Imkite ir dalykitės.
18 for I tell you, I will not drink at all again from the fruit of the vine, until the Kingdom of God comes.”
18Sakau jums: Aš nebegersiu vynmedžio vaisiaus, kol ateis Dievo karalystė”.
19He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and gave to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.”
19Ir, paėmęs duoną, Jis padėkojo, laužė ją ir davė jiems, sakydamas: “Tai yra mano kūnas, kuris už jus atiduodamas. Tai darykite mano atminimui”.
20Likewise, he took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
20Lygiai taip po vakarienės Jis paėmė taurę, sakydamas: “Ši taurė yra Naujoji Sandora mano kraujyje, kuris už jus išliejamas.
21 But behold, the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table.
21Bet štai mano išdavėjo ranka yra kartu su manąja ant stalo.
22 The Son of Man indeed goes, as it has been determined, but woe to that man through whom he is betrayed!”
22Žmogaus Sūnus, tiesa, eina, kaip Jam paskirta, bet vargas tam žmogui, kuris Jį išduoda!”
23They began to question among themselves, which of them it was who would do this thing.
23Tada jie pradėjo klausinėti vienas kito, kas gi iš jų yra tas, kuris tai padarys.
24There arose also a contention among them, which of them was considered to be greatest.
24Tarp jų taip pat kilo ginčas, kuris iš jų turėtų būti laikomas didžiausiu.
25He said to them, “The kings of the nations lord it over them, and those who have authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’
25Bet Jėzus jiems pasakė: “Pagonių karaliai viešpatauja jiems ir tie, kurie juos valdo, vadinami geradariais.
26 But not so with you. But one who is the greater among you, let him become as the younger, and one who is governing, as one who serves.
26Jūs taip nedarykite. Kas didžiausias tarp jūsų, tebūnie tarsi mažiausias, o vadovaujantis tebūnie kaip tarnas.
27 For who is greater, one who sits at the table, or one who serves? Isn’t it he who sits at the table? But I am in the midst of you as one who serves.
27Katras yra didesnis­kuris sėdi už stalo ar kuris jam patarnauja? Argi ne tas, kuris sėdi? O Aš tarp jūsų esu kaip tas, kuris patarnauja.
28 But you are those who have continued with me in my trials.
28Jūs ištvėrėte su manimi mano išbandymuose,
29 I confer on you a kingdom, even as my Father conferred on me,
29todėl Aš jums skiriu valdyti karalystę, kaip ir man yra skyręs Tėvas,
30 that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. You will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
30kad mano karalystėje jūs valgytumėte ir gertumėte už mano stalo ir sėdėtumėte sostuose, teisdami dvylika Izraelio giminių”.
31The Lord said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have you, that he might sift you as wheat,
31Ir Viešpats tarė: “Simonai, Simonai! Štai šėtonas prašė persijoti jus tarsi kviečius.
32 but I prayed for you, that your faith wouldn’t fail. You, when once you have turned again, establish your brothers .”
32Bet Aš meldžiau už tave, kad tavo tikėjimas nepalūžtų, ir tu atsivertęs stiprink savo brolius!”
33He said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death!”
33Petras atsiliepė: “Viešpatie, aš pasiruošęs kartu su Tavimi eiti ir į kalėjimą, ir į mirtį!”
34He said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will by no means crow today until you deny that you know me three times.”
34Bet Jėzus atsakė: “Sakau tau, Petrai: dar šiandien, gaidžiui nepragydus, tu tris kartus išsiginsi, kad mane pažįsti”.
35He said to them, “When I sent you out without purse, and wallet, and shoes, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.”
35Jis paklausė juos: “Ar jums ko nors trūko, kai buvau jus išsiuntęs be piniginės, be krepšio ir be sandalų?” Jie atsakė: “Nieko”.
36Then he said to them, “But now, whoever has a purse, let him take it, and likewise a wallet. Whoever has none, let him sell his cloak, and buy a sword.
36Tada Jis jiems tarė: “Dabar, kas turi piniginę, tepasiima ją, taip pat ir krepšį, o kas neturi kalavijo, teparduoda apsiaustą ir tenusiperka.
37 For I tell you that this which is written must still be fulfilled in me: ‘He was counted with transgressors.’ For that which concerns me has an end.”
37Sakau jums, manyje privalo išsipildyti, kas parašyta: ‘Jis buvo priskaitytas prie piktadarių’; tai, kas man nustatyta, jau eina į pabaigą”.
38They said, “Lord, behold, here are two swords.” He said to them, “That is enough.”
38Jie tarė: “Viešpatie, štai čia du kalavijai!” Jis atsakė: “Gana!”
39He came out, and went, as his custom was, to the Mount of Olives. His disciples also followed him.
39Išėjęs iš ten, Jis, kaip buvo pratęs, pasuko į Alyvų kalną. Paskui Jį nuėjo ir mokiniai.
40When he was at the place, he said to them, “Pray that you don’t enter into temptation.”
40Atėjus į vietą, Jis tarė jiems: “Melskitės, kad nepakliūtumėte į pagundymą!”
41He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and he knelt down and prayed,
41Ir Jis atsitolino nuo jų maždaug per akmens metimą ir atsiklaupęs ėmė melstis:
42saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”
42“Tėve, jei nori, atimk šitą taurę nuo manęs, tačiau tebūna ne mano, bet Tavo valia!”
43An angel from heaven appeared to him, strengthening him.
43Jam pasirodė iš dangaus angelas ir Jį sustiprino.
44Being in agony he prayed more earnestly. His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground.
44Vidinės kovos draskomas, Jis dar karščiau meldėsi. Jo prakaitas pasidarė tarsi tiršto kraujo lašai, varvantys žemėn.
45When he rose up from his prayer, he came to the disciples, and found them sleeping because of grief,
45Atsikėlęs po maldos, Jis atėjo pas mokinius ir rado juos iš sielvarto užmigusius.
46and said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
46Jis tarė jiems: “Kodėl miegate? Kelkitės ir melskitės, kad nepakliūtumėte į pagundymą!”
47While he was still speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who was called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He came near to Jesus to kiss him.
47Jam dar tebekalbant, štai pasirodė minia, o priekyje­vienas iš dvylikos, vadinamas Judu. Jis priėjo prie Jėzaus Jo pabučiuoti.
48But Jesus said to him, “Judas, do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”
48Jėzus jam tarė: “Judai, pabučiavimu išduodi Žmogaus Sūnų?”
49When those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said to him, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?”
49Esantieji su Juo, matydami, kas bus, paklausė: “Viešpatie, gal mums kirsti kalaviju?”
50A certain one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
50Vienas iš jų smogė vyriausiojo kunigo tarnui ir nukirto jam dešinę ausį.
51But Jesus answered, “Let me at least do this” —and he touched his ear, and healed him.
51Bet Jėzus sudraudė: “Liaukitės! Užteks!” Ir palietęs tarno ausį, išgydė jį.
52Jesus said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and elders, who had come against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs?
52Atėjusiems aukštiesiems kunigams, šventyklos apsaugos viršininkams ir vyresniesiems Jis pasakė: “Kaip prieš plėšiką išėjote prieš mane su kalavijais ir vėzdais.
53 When I was with you in the temple daily, you didn’t stretch out your hands against me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”
53Kai buvau kasdien su jumis šventykloje, jūs nepakėlėte prieš mane rankos. Bet ši valanda jūsų, tamsos valdžia”.
54They seized him, and led him away, and brought him into the high priest’s house. But Peter followed from a distance.
54Suėmę Jėzų, jie nusivedė Jį ir atvedė į vyriausiojo kunigo namus. Petras sekė iš tolo.
55When they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard, and had sat down together, Peter sat among them.
55Susikūrę ugnį kiemo viduryje, jie susėdo. Petras atsisėdo kartu.
56A certain servant girl saw him as he sat in the light, and looking intently at him, said, “This man also was with him.”
56Viena tarnaitė, pamačiusi jį sėdintį prieš šviesą, įsižiūrėjo ir tarė: “Ir šitas buvo kartu su Juo”.
57He denied Jesus, saying, “Woman, I don’t know him.”
57Bet jis išsigynė, sakydamas: “Moterie, nepažįstu Jo!”
58After a little while someone else saw him, and said, “You also are one of them!” But Peter answered, “Man, I am not!”
58Truputį vėliau kažkas kitas, jį pamatęs, tarė: “Ir tu esi iš jų”. Petras atsakė: “Ne, žmogau, nesu!”
59After about one hour passed, another confidently affirmed, saying, “Truly this man also was with him, for he is a Galilean!”
59Maždaug po valandos dar vienas ėmė tvirtinti, sakydamas: “Tikrai šitas buvo su Juo! Juk jis galilėjietis!”
60But Peter said, “Man, I don’t know what you are talking about!” Immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.
60Petras atsakė: “Žmogau, aš nesuprantu, ką tu sakai”. Ir tuoj pat, dar jam kalbant, pragydo gaidys.
61The Lord turned, and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the Lord’s word, how he said to him, “Before the rooster crows you will deny me three times.”
61Tada Viešpats atsigręžęs pažvelgė į Petrą. Ir Petras atsiminė Viešpaties žodį, kaip Jis buvo jam pasakęs: “Dar gaidžiui nepragydus, tu tris kartus manęs išsiginsi”.
62He went out, and wept bitterly.
62Petras išėjo laukan ir karčiai pravirko.
63The men who held Jesus mocked him and beat him.
63Jėzų saugantys vyrai tyčiojosi iš Jo ir mušė.
64Having blindfolded him, they struck him on the face and asked him, “Prophesy! Who is the one who struck you?”
64Uždengę akis, jie daužė Jam per veidą ir klausinėjo: “Pranašauk, kas Tave užgavo!”
65They spoke many other things against him, insulting him.
65Ir visaip kitaip jam piktžodžiavo.
66As soon as it was day, the assembly of the elders of the people was gathered together, both chief priests and scribes, and they led him away into their council, saying,
66Rytui išaušus, susirinko tautos vyresnieji, aukštieji kunigai ir Rašto žinovai. Jie atvedė Jėzų į savo sinedrioną ir sakė:
67“If you are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them, “If I tell you, you won’t believe,
67“Jei Tu Kristus, tai prisipažink mums!” Jėzus atsiliepė: “Jeigu jums ir pasakysiu, vis tiek netikėsite,
68 and if I ask, you will in no way answer me or let me go.
68o jei paklausiu, man neatsakysite ir nepaleisite.
69 From now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”
69Tačiau nuo šio meto Žmogaus Sūnus sėdės Dievo Galybės dešinėje”.
70They all said, “Are you then the Son of God?” He said to them, “You say it, because I am.”
70Tuomet jie visi klausė: “Tai Tu esi Dievo Sūnus?” Jis atsakė: “Taip yra kaip sakote: Aš Esu!”
71They said, “Why do we need any more witness? For we ourselves have heard from his own mouth!”
71Tada jie tarė: “Kam dar mums liudijimas?! Juk mes girdėjome iš Jo paties lūpų!”
