1Praise Yah! Psalm 111 is an acrostic poem, with each verse after the initial “Praise Yah!” starting with a letter of the alphabet (ordered from Alef to Tav). I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart, in the council of the upright, and in the congregation.
1Girkite Viešpatį! Aš girsiu Viešpatį visa širdimi teisiųjų susirinkime.
2Yahweh’s works are great, pondered by all those who delight in them.
2Dideli yra Viešpaties darbai, tyrinėjami visų, kurie juos mėgsta.
3His work is honor and majesty. His righteousness endures forever.
3Didingi ir šlovingi Jo darbai, Jo teisumas pasilieka per amžius.
4He has caused his wonderful works to be remembered. Yahweh is gracious and merciful.
4Atsimintini yra Jo darbai. Maloningas ir užjaučiantis yra Viešpats.
5He has given food to those who fear him. He always remembers his covenant.
5Jis maitina tuos, kurie Jo bijo, per amžius prisimena savo sandorą.
6He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the heritage of the nations.
6Jis savo darbų galią tautai parodė, atidavė jiems pagonių nuosavybę.
7The works of his hands are truth and justice. All his precepts are sure.
7Jo rankų darbaiteisingumas ir teismas, visi Jo įsakymai nepakeičiami.
8They are established forever and ever. They are done in truth and uprightness.
8Jie per amžius yra tvirti, paremti tiesa ir lygybe visiems.
9He has sent redemption to his people. He has ordained his covenant forever. His name is holy and awesome!
9Išpirkimą Jis savo tautai siuntė, amžiams paskelbė savo sandorą. Šventas ir gerbtinas yra Jo vardas.
10The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!
10Išminties pradžia yra Viešpaties baimė; supratingi, kurie taip elgiasi. Jo šlovė lieka per amžius!
