¹He said to me, Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak with you.

¹त्यस आवाजले भन्यो, “हे मानिसको छोरो, खडा हौ र म तिमीसित कुरा गर्नेछु।”

²The Spirit entered into me when he spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard him who spoke to me.

²जब उहाँले मसित बात गर्नुभयो, तब उहाँको आत्मा म भित्र पस्यो र मलाई खडा गरायो। अनि मैले त्यस मानिसलाई मसित कुरा गरेको सुनें।

³He said to me, Son of man, I send you to the children of Israel, to a nation of rebels who have rebelled against me. They and their fathers have transgressed against me even to this very day.

³उहाँले मलाई भन्नुभयो, “मानिसको छोरो, म तिमीलाई इस्राएलको परिवारसँगकेही भन्नका निम्ति पठाउँदैछु। तिनीहरू बागीहरूको जाति हुन्। लगातार मेरो विरूद्ध बागी भएकाछन् तिनीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाहरू पनि मेरो विरूद्धमा बागी भएको थिए। तिनीहरू र तिनीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाहरूले मेरो विरूद्धमा अपराधहरू गरे अनि आज सम्म तिनीहरू त्यसै गर्दैछन्।

⁴The children are impudent and stiff-hearted: I am sending you to them; and you shall tell them, Thus says the Lord The word translated “Lord” is “Adonai.” Yahweh.

⁴म तिमीलाई तिनीहरू विरूद्ध केही भन्नको निम्ति पठाउँदैछु। तर तिनीहरू एकदमै हठी छन्। तिनीहरू कठोर हृदयका छन्। तर तिमीले तिनीहरूसँग कुरा गर्नु पर्नेछ। तिमीले भन्नु पर्छ, ‘परमप्रभु हाम्रा मालिकले यो कुराहरू भन्नुहुँदैछ।’

⁵They, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house), yet shall know that there has been a prophet among them.

⁵तिनीहरूले तिम्रो कुरा सुन्नेछन् वा सुन्नेछैनन् किनभने तिनीहरू बिद्रोहीहरू हुन्। तर तिमीले ती कुराहरू भन्नुपर्छ ताकि उनीहरूले बुझ्न सकुन् कि तिनीहरूको माझमा एक जना अगमवक्ता छन्।

⁶You, son of man, don’t be afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you do dwell among scorpions: don’t be afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.

⁶“हे मानिसको छोरो! तिनीहरू सँगनडराऊ। तिनीहरू जे भन्छन् त्यसको निम्ति नडराऊ। यो साँचो हो तिनीहरू तिम्रो विरूद्ध हुनेछन् अनि तिमीलाई चोट पुर्याउन चाहन्छन्। तिनीहरू काँडा जस्तै हुनेछन्। तिमीलाई यस्तो लाग्ने छ कि तिमी बिच्छीहरूको बीचमा बसेका छौ। तर तिनीहरूले जे जति भन्नेछन्, त्यसका निम्ति नडराऊ। तिनीहरू विद्रोहीहरू हुन्।

⁷You shall speak my words to them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear; for they are most rebellious.

⁷तिमीले तिनीहरूसँगयी सबै कुराहरू भन्नुपर्छ, जुन मैले तिमीसँगभन्दछु। तिमीले भनेको तिनीहरूले सुन्न पनि सक्छन् अथवा सक्तैनन् पनि, किनभने तिनीहरू विद्रोहीहरू हुन्।

⁸But you, son of man, hear what I tell you; don’t be rebellious like that rebellious house: open your mouth, and eat that which I give you.

⁸“हे मानिसको छोरो! तिमीले ती कुराहरू सुन्नु पर्छ, जुन कुरा म तिमीलाई भन्छु। ती बागी मानिसहरू जस्तै मेरो विरूद्ध नहोऊ। आफ्नो मुख खोल, जुन कुरा म तिमीलाई भन्छु त्यो स्वीकार गर अनि ती कुराहरू मानिसहरूलाई भन। यी सबै वचनहरू मान।”

⁹When I looked, behold, a hand was put forth to me; and, behold, a scroll of a book was therein;

⁹अनि जब मैले एउटा हात आफूतिर बढदै गरेको देखें। त्यो एउटा मुट्ठो पारेर बेहेरिएको लामो पुस्तक जसमा केही लेखेर समातेको थियो।

¹⁰He spread it before me: and it was written within and without; and there were written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

¹⁰मैले त्यो बेहेरिएको पत्र खोलें अनि त्यसको छेउ अनि पछाडि पट्टि केही कुराहरू लेखिएको थियो। त्यसमा सबै प्रकारको विलाप, शोक र दुखका गीत, कथाहरू अनि चेताउनीहरू थिए।
