1The word of Yahweh of Armies came to me.
1यो वचन सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभुको हो।
2Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath.”
2सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “म साँच्चै नै सियोन पर्वतलाई प्रेम गर्छु। म तिनलाई यति साह्रो प्रेम गर्छु, तर तिनी मेरो बिश्वासनीय भइनन् अनि म तिनीसंग क्रोधित भएँ।”
3Thus says Yahweh: “I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called ‘The City of Truth;’ and the mountain of Yahweh of Armies, ‘The Holy Mountain.’”
3परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “म सियोनमा फेरि फर्केर आएँ। म यरूशलेममा बसिरहेको छु। यरूशलेम सत्यको बिश्वासी शहर भनिनेछ। सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभुको पर्वतलाई चाहिं पवित्र पर्वत भनिनेछ।”
4Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “Old men and old women will again dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, every man with his staff in his hand for very age.
4सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “यरूशलेमका बुढा-बुढीहरू फेरि गल्लीहरूमा देखिनेछन्। मानिसहरू यति लामो समय सम्म बाँच्नेछन् कि उनीहरूलाई टेकने लौरोको आवश्यकता पर्नेछ।
5The streets of the city will be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.”
5अनि शहरका बाटोहरू नानीहरूले भरिनेछ।
6Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also be marvelous in my eyes?” says Yahweh of Armies.
6सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “जीवित मानिसहरूले सोच्लान्, यो एकदमै गाह्रोछ अनि म पनि सोच्छु यो एकदमै गाह्रोछ।”
7Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;
7सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “हेर म पूर्व र पश्चिमका देशहरूबाट मानिसहरू बचाई रहेछु अनि मेरो मानिसहरूलाई डोह्याउनेछु।
8and I will bring them, and they will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem; and they will be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.”
8म त्यहाँ फर्केर फेरि आउँछु अनि यरूशलेममा बस्नेछु। तिनीहरू मेरो मानिसहरू हुनेछन् म राम्रो बिश्वासनीय परमेश्वर हुनेछु।
9Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “Let your hands be strong, you who hear in these days these words from the mouth of the prophets who were in the day that the foundation of the house of Yahweh of Armies was laid, even the temple, that it might be built.
9सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “शक्तिशाली होऊ! तिमीहरू आज त्यही सन्देश सुनिरहेकाछौ, जुन अगमवक्ताहरूले पहिलाबाटै भन्दै थिए जब सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभुले आफ्ना मन्दिर बनाउनका निम्ति फेरि जग बसाल्नु भएको थियो।
10For before those days there was no wages for man, nor any wages for an animal; neither was there any peace to him who went out or came in, because of the adversary. For I set all men everyone against his neighbor.
10त्यो समय मानिसहरूसंग श्रमिकहरूलाई मजदूरी बापत दिने पैसा थिएन अथवा पशु र शत्रुहरूको कारणले मानिसहरूको आगमन शुरक्षित थिएन। मैले हरेकलाई आफ्नो छिमेकिको विरोधी बनाइदिएँ।
11But now I will not be to the remnant of this people as in the former days,” says Yahweh of Armies.
11सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभुले यसो भन्नुभयो। तर अब जीवित मानिसहरूका निम्ति यस्तो हुनेछैन।”
12“For the seed of peace and the vine will yield its fruit, and the ground will give its increase, and the heavens will give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things.
12ती मानिसहरूले शान्तिसंग खेती लगाउँनेछन्। दाखको बोटले फलहरू दिनेछ। भूमिले राम्रो उब्जनी दिनेछ तथा आकाशबाट पानी पर्नेछ। म यी सबै चीजहरू मेरा ती मानिसहरूलाई दिनेछु।
13It shall come to pass that, as you were a curse among the nations, house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you, and you shall be a blessing. Don’t be afraid. Let your hands be strong.”
13“मानिसहरू आफ्नो अभिशापको निम्ति यरूशलेम अनि यहूदाको नाउँ लिनेछन् तर म इस्राएल र यहूदालाई बचाउँनेछु अनि तिनीहरूको नाउँ आशिषको रूपमा प्रमाणित हुन थाल्नेछ। यसकारण नडराऊ! बलियो होऊ!”
14For thus says Yahweh of Armies: “As I thought to do evil to you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and I didn’t repent;
14सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “तिमीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाले मलाई क्रोधित पारे। यसकारण मैले उनीहरूलाई नष्टगर्ने निर्णय लिएँ। मैले आफ्नो बिचार बद्ली गर्नें निश्चय गरें।” सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभुले यी सबै कुराहरू भन्नुभयो।
15so again have I thought in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Don’t be afraid.
15“तर अब मैले बिचार बद्ली सकें अनि त्यस्तै प्रकारले मैले यरूशलेम र यहूदाका मानिसहरू प्रति वास्ता गरी रहनें निश्चय गरेको छु।
16These are the things that you shall do: speak every man the truth with his neighbor. Execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates,
16यसकारण नडराऊ तर तिमीहरूले यो गर्नु पर्छ कि आफ्नो छिमेकीहरूसित सत्य बोल, जब तिमी आफ्नो शहरमा निर्णय लिन्छौ त्यस बेला साँचो, ठिक र शान्ति ल्याउने निर्णय होस्।
17and let none of you devise evil in your hearts against his neighbor, and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate,” says Yahweh.
17तिम्रो छिमेकीलाई चोट पुर्याउने गुप्त योजनाहरू नबनाऊ। झुटो कसम नखाऊ। किन? किनकि म त्यो कुराहरूलाई घृणा गर्छु।” परमप्रभुले यसो भन्नु भयो।
18The word of Yahweh of Armies came to me.
18मैले सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभुको यो वचन पाएँ।
19Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “The fasts of the fourth fifth, seventh, and tenth months shall be for the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts. Therefore love truth and peace.”
19सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “तिम्रो शोक मनाउँने अनि उपवासको बिशेष दिन चौथो महीना, पाँचौं महीना, सातौं महीना अनि दशौं महीनामा हो। त्यो शोकको दिनलाई खुशीको दिनमा बद्ली गर। ती दिन र्हष अनि आनन्दको उत्सवहरू र पवित्र बिदाका दिनहरू हुनेछन्, र तिमीहरूले सत्य शान्तिलाई प्रेम गर्नु पर्छ।”
20Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “Many peoples, and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come;
20सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “भविष्यमा बिभिन्न शहरहरूबाट मानिसहरू यरूशलेममा आउँनेछन्।
21and the inhabitants of one shall go to another, saying, ‘Let us go speedily to entreat the favor of Yahweh, and to seek Yahweh of Armies. I will go also.’
21एउटा शहरका मानिसहरूले अर्को शहरका मानिसहरूलाई भन्नेछन्, ‘हामीहरू परमप्रभुको सामुन्ने उपासना गर्न सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभुलाई खोज्न जाँदैछौं, ‘हामीसित आऊ।”
22Yes, many peoples and strong nations will come to seek Yahweh of Armies in Jerusalem, and to entreat the favor of Yahweh.”
22धेरै मानिसहरू अनि धेरै शक्तिशाली जातिहरू परमप्रभु सर्वशक्तिमानलाई खोज्न यरूशलेम आउँनेछन्। तिनीहरू यहाँ परमप्रभुको उपासना गर्ने आउने छन्।
23Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “In those days, ten men will take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, they will take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, saying, ‘We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’”
23सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “त्यस समय, बिभिन्न जातिहरूबाट बिभन्न भाषाहरू बोल्ने दशजना मानिसहरूले एकजना यहूदी मानिसको लुगाको छेउ समात्नेछ अनि भन्नेछ, “हामीले सुनेका छौं कि परमेशवर तिम्रो साथमा हुनुहुन्छ, के हामी उहाँको उपासना गर्न तिमी सित आउँन सक्छौं?”‘
