¹ “Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went out to meet the bridegroom.

¹“ਉਸ ਵਕਤ, ਸੁਰਗੀ ਰਾਜ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਸ ਕੁਆਰੀਆਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮਸ਼ਾਲਾਂ ਲਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਡ਼ੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਗਈਆਂ।

² Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.

²ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪੰਜ ਤਾਂ ਮੂਰਖ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੰਜ ਸਿਆਣੀਆਂ।

³ Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them,

³ਪੰਜ ਮੂਰਖ ਕੁਆਰੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਸ਼ਾਲਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਲੈਕੇ ਆਈਆਂ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਗਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਤੇਲ ਨਾ ਲੈਕੇ ਆਈਆਂ, ਤਾਂ ਜੁ ਮਸ਼ਾਲ ਜਗਦੀ ਰਹੇ।

⁴ but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

⁴ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ, ਪੰਜ ਸਿਆਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਆਰੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮਸ਼ਾਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਲ ਵਾਲਾ ਭਾਂਡਾ ਵੀ ਲਿਆਈਆਂ।

⁵ Now while the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

⁵ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਲਾਡ਼ਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੇਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਅਇਆ, ਸਭ ਕੁਆਰੀਆਂ ਥੱਕ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਂ ਗਈਆਂ।

⁶ But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!’

⁶ਅਧੀ ਰਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ, ‘ਲਾਡ਼ਾ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਓ!’

⁷ Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. The end of the wick of an oil lamp needs to be cut off periodically to avoid having it become clogged with carbon deposits. The wick height is also adjusted so that the flame burns evenly and gives good light without producing a lot of smoke.

⁷“ਤਦ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੁਆਰੀਆਂ ਉਠੀਆਂ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮਸ਼ਾਲਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ।

⁸ The foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’

⁸ਪਰ ਮੂਰਖ ਕੁਆਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਿਆਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਆਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮਸ਼ਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਥੋਡ਼ਾ ਤੇਲ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੋ, ਜੋ ਤੇਲ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਸੀ ਲਗਭੱਗ ਮੁਕ੍ਕ ਚੁਕਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਮਸ਼ਾਲਾਂ ਬੁਝ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।’

⁹ But the wise answered, saying, ‘What if there isn’t enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’

⁹“ਸਿਆਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਆਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ‘ਨਹੀਂ ਇਹ ਤੇਲ ਸਾਡੇ ਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਜਗਾਉਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਤੇਲ ਵੇਚਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਲ੍ਲ ਲੈ ਆਵੋ।’

¹⁰ While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut.

¹⁰ਇਉਂ ਪੰਜ ਮੂਰਖ ਕੁਆਰੀਆਂ ਤੇਲ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਚਲੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਚਲੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਲਾਡ਼ਾ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹਾਡ਼ੀਆਂ ਕੁਆਰੀਆਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਲਾਡ਼ੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ ਦਾਵਤ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਚਲੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਬੰਦ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

¹¹ Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us.’

¹¹“ਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਦੂਜੀਆਂ ਕੁਆਰੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਪਰਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮਾਨ ਜੀ, ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਆ ਸਕੀਏ!’

¹² But he answered, ‘Most certainly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

¹²ਪਰ ਲਾਡ਼ੇ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੌਣ ਹੋ।’

¹³ Watch therefore, for you don’t know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

¹³“ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਰਹੋ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਕਿ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਕਿਸ ਪਲ ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਆਵੇਗਾ।

¹⁴ “For it is like a man, going into another country, who called his own servants, and entrusted his goods to them.

¹⁴“ਸਵਰਗ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਜਾਣ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ। ਵਿਦਾ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੋਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

¹⁵ To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one; to each according to his own ability. Then he went on his journey.

¹⁵ਉਸਨੇ ਹਰ ਨੋਕਰ ਦੀ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਇੱਕ ਨੋਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਧਨ ਦੇ ਪੰਜ ਝੋਲੇ, ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਧਨ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਝੋਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਤੇ ਚਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।

¹⁶ Immediately he who received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.

¹⁶ਜਿਸ ਨੋਕਰ ਨੇ ਧਨ ਦੇ ਪੰਜ ਝੋਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਝੱਟ ਚਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਧਨ ਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਧਨ ਦੇ ਪੰਜ ਹੋਰ ਝੋਲੇ ਕਮਾ ਲਏ।

¹⁷ In the same way, he also who got the two gained another two.

¹⁷ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਧਨ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਝੋਲੇ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਨ ਉਸਨੇ ਵੀ ਧਨ ਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਧਨ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਹੋਰ ਝੋਲੇ ਕਮਾ ਲਏ।

¹⁸ But he who received the one went away and dug in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.

¹⁸ਪਰ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਧਨ ਦਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਝੋਲਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੀ, ਉਸਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਟੋਆ ਪੁਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦਾ ਧਨ ਦਬ੍ਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

¹⁹ “Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and reconciled accounts with them.

¹⁹“ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਦ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੋਕਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਪਰਤਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਧਨ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ।

²⁰ He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents besides them.’

²⁰ਜਿਸ ਨੋਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਨੇ ਪੰਜ ਥੈਲੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਮਾਲਕ ਕੋਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੰਜ ਥੈਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਰ ਪੰਜ ਥੈਲੇ ਵੀ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ ਜੋ ਉਸਨੇ ਕਮਾਏ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਰਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਨੋਕਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜੀ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਧਨ ਦੇ ਪੰਜ ਥੈਲੇ ਸੌਂਪੇ ਸਨ। ਆਹ ਧਨ ਦੇ ਪੰਜ ਹੋਰ ਝੋਲੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਮਾਏ ਹਨ।’

²¹ “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

²¹“ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ‘ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ, ਤੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਨੋਕਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਥੋਡ਼ੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਸਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਇਖਤਿਆਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋ।’

²² “He also who got the two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents. Behold, I have gained another two talents besides them.’

²²“ਫ਼ਿਰ, ਉਹ ਨੋਕਰ ਆਇਆ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਧਨ ਦੇ ਝੋਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਮਾਲਕ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜੀ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਥੈਲੇ ਰਖਵਾਲੀ ਲਈ ਦੇ ਗਏ ਸੀ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਵਰਤਕੇ ਦੋ ਹੋਰ ਬਣਾ ਲਏ ਹਨ।’

²³ “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

²³“ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ! ਤੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਨੋਕਰ ਹੈ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਥੋਡ਼ੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਧਨ ਦੀ ਸਹੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਇਸਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਦਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਤੂੰ ਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰ।’

²⁴ “He also who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter.

²⁴“ਜਿਸ ਨੋਕਰ ਨੇ ਧਨ ਦਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਝੋਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜੀ, ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਾਦਾ ਸਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਸਖਤ ਦਿਲ ਆਦਮੀ ਹੋ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਿਥੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੀਜਿਆ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਥੋਂ ਵਢਦੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਥੇ ਖਿਲਾਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਥੋਂ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ।’

²⁵ I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the earth. Behold, you have what is yours.’

²⁵ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਡਰਦਾ ਸਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਧਨ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਕੋ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਆਹ ਰਿਹਾ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਧਨ ਦਾ ਝੋਲਾ।

²⁶ “But his lord answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant. You knew that I reap where I didn’t sow, and gather where I didn’t scatter.

²⁶“ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਬੁਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਲਸੀ ਨੋਕਰ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜਿਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਬੀਜਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਥੋਂ ਵਢਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਖਿਲਾਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਉਥੋਂ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

²⁷ You ought therefore to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back my own with interest.

²⁷ਸੋ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਧਨ ਸਰਾਫ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਮੁਡ਼ਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਧਨ ਨਾਲ ਬਿਆਜ ਮਿਲਦਾ।

²⁸ Take away therefore the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents.

²⁸“ਤਾਂ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੋਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਧਨ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਝੋਲਾ ਇਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਲੈ ਲਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੋ ਜਿਸ ਕੋਲ ਦਸ ਝੋਲੇ ਹਨ।

²⁹ For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have abundance, but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away.

²⁹ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਜਿਸ ਕੋਲ ਜੋ ਹੈ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਵਧ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਵਧ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜਿਸ ਕੋਲ ਜੋ ਹੈ ਉਸਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਹੈ।’

³⁰ Throw out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

³⁰ਤਾਂ ਉਸਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਉਸ ਨਿਕੰਮੇ ਨੋਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿਓ, ਉਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਜਿਥੇ ਲੋਕ ਚੀਕਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਦ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੰਦ ਪੀਸਦੇ ਹਨ।’

³¹ “But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.

³¹“ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਪਾਣੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਹਿਮਾਮਈ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨ ਤੇ ਵਿਰਾਜਮਾਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

³² Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

³²ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਉਸਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਕਠੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਹਿਸਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਇੰਝ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਆਜਡ਼ੀ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬੱਕਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਖਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

³³ He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

³³ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਕਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਰਖੇਗਾ।

³⁴ Then the King will tell those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;

³⁴“ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਆਖੇਗਾ, ‘ਆਓ! ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਆਓ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਰਾਜ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਰਾਜ ਤਾਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਮੁਢ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

³⁵ for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in.

³⁵ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਰਾਜ ਪਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਭੁਖਾ ਸੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਖਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਪਿਆਸਾ ਸੀ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੀਣ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਸੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਨਿਓਤਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

³⁶ I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.’

³⁶ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਵਸਤਰ-ਹੀਣ ਸਾਂ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਨਣ ਲਈ ਕੱਪਡ਼ੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਮੈਂ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਖਬਰ ਲਿਤ੍ਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ।’

³⁷ “Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink?

³⁷“ਤਦ ਚੰਗੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ, ‘ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਅਸੀਂ ਕਦੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਭੁਖਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਭੋਜਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂ ਕਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਸਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਪੀਣ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ?’

³⁸ When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you?

³⁸ਕਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਗਾਨਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਨਿਉਤਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਾਂ ਕਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਿਨ ਕੱਪਡ਼ਿਉਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕੱਪਡ਼ੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ?

³⁹ When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?’

³⁹ਕਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਜਾਂ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਦੇਖ-ਭਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਏ?’

⁴⁰ “The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers The word for “brothers” here may be also correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” , you did it to me.’

⁴⁰“ਤਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੁਛ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹਨ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ।’

⁴¹ Then he will say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels;

⁴¹“ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੇਗਾ, ‘ਮੈਥੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਓ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਰਾਪੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੋ। ਉਸ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਮੱਚਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਓ, ਜਿਹਡ਼ੀ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।’

⁴² for I was hungry, and you didn’t give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink;

⁴²ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੀ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਭੁਖਾ ਸਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਖੁਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਪੀਣ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

⁴³ I was a stranger, and you didn’t take me in; naked, and you didn’t clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’

⁴³ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਸਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਨਿਉਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਵਸਤਰ-ਹੀਣ ਸਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੱਪਡ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਂ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਿਆ।’

⁴⁴ “Then they will also answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t help you?’

⁴⁴“ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ: ‘ਪ੍ਰਭੂ’ ਕਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਭੁਖਾ ਜਾਂ ਪਿਆਸਾ ਇੱਕ ਬਗਾਨੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਜਾਂ ਬਿਨ ਕੱਪਡ਼ਿਉਂ, ਜਾਂ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਜਾਂ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ।’

⁴⁵ “Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you didn’t do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me.’

⁴⁵“ਫ਼ੇਰ ਰਾਜਾ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੁਛ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਂ, ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹਨ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਂ।”

⁴⁶ These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

⁴⁶“ਤਦ ਉਹ ਬੁਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਪਾਉਣਗੇ ਪਰ ਚੰਗੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਪਾਉਨਗੇ।”
