1 “Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged.
1“ਦੂਜੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਣਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਡਾ ਨਿਰਣਾ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
2 For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.
2ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੂਸਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਣਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਵੀ ਨਿਰਣਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਮਾਪ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਿਣਦੇ ਹੋ, ਉਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਿਣਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?
3ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਦੀ ਅੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਧੂਡ਼ ਦੇ ਕਣ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਵੇਖ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਅੱਖ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਸ਼ਤੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਦੇ।
4 Or how will you tell your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye;’ and behold, the beam is in your own eye?
4ਜਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਆਖ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋਂ, ‘ਲਿਆ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਅੱਖ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਧੂਡ਼ ਦੇ ਕਣ ਨੂੰ ਕਢਾਂ’ ਜਦ ਕਿ ਹਲੇ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਡੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਅੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਤੀਰ ਹੈ?
5 You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye.
5ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਪਟੀ ਹੋ, ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਤੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਅੱਖ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਢੋ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਕਣ ਨੂੰ ਕਢਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਵੇਖ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋਂ।
6 “Don’t give that which is holy to the dogs, neither throw your pearls before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
6ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਕੁਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਪਾਓ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੁਡ਼ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵੱਢਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੋਤੀ ਸੂਰਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਨਾ ਸੁੱਟੋ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਮਿਧ ਦੇਣਗੇ।
7 “Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.
7“ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੰਗਦੇ ਰਹੋਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਵੋਂਗੇ। ਲਭੋ, ਤਾਂ ਲਭੇਗਾ। ਖਡ਼ਕਾਓ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਜਵੇਗਾ।
8 For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.
8ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹਰੇਕ ਮੰਗਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਢੂਂਢਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਲਭਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਖਡ਼ਕਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲਈ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
9 Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?
9“ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਐਸਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਟੀ ਮੰਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ?
10 Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent?
10ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਮਛੀ ਮੰਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਸੱਪ ਦੇਵੋਂਗੇ?
11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
11ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੰਨੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਹੋਕੇ ਵੀ, ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਸੁਰਗੀ ਪਿਤਾ, ਮੰਗਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਕਿੰਨੀਆਂ ਵਧ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ?
12 Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
12“ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਉਵੇਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰੋ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਿਖਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਹੋ ਨਚੋਡ਼ ਹੈ।
13 “Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it.
13“ਤੁਸੀਂ ਭੀਡ਼ੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਡ਼ੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਰਾਹ ਸੁਰਗ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਲ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਰਕ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁਖਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਵੱਲ ਲਿਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਥਾਣੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਲੋਕ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
14 How TR reads “Because” instead of “How” narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it.
14ਪਰ ਉਹ ਫਾਟਕ ਬਡ਼ਾ ਭੀਡ਼ਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਔਖਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਸੱਚੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹਡ਼ੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਲਭਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਹਨ।
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.
15“ਝੂਠੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰ ਰਹੋ, ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਖਤਰਨਾਕ ਬਘਿਆਡ਼ਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ।
16 By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?
16ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਛਾਣੋਂਗੇ। ਚੰਗੇ ਕੰਮ ਭੈਡ਼ੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੰਡਿਆਲੀਆਂ ਝਾਡ਼ੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਅੰਗੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਭਖਡ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਉਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
17 Even so, every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit.
17ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਬਿਰਛ ਚੰਗਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਮਾਡ਼ਾ ਬਿਰਛ ਮਾਡ਼ਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
18 A good tree can’t produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.
18ਚੰਗੇ ਬਿਰਛ ਬੁਰਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਸਕ੍ਕਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਮਾਡ਼ਾ ਬਿਰਛ ਚੰਗਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਦੇ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
19 Every tree that doesn’t grow good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire.
19ਹਰੇਕ ਬਿਰਛ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਵਢਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਟਿਆ ਜ੍ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
20ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਛਾਨਣ ਯੋਗ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ।
21 Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
21ਉਹ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ‘ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਡ਼ੇਗਾ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਹੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜਿਹਡ਼ਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
22 Many will tell me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?’
22ਅੰਤਲੇ ਦਿਨ, ਅਨੇਕ ਲੋਕ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਣਗੇ, ‘ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਬੋਲੇ? ਅਤੇ ਕੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਂ ਲੈਕੇ ਭੂਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਢੇ ਅਤੇ ਕੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਲੈਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਾਮਾਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ?’
23 Then I will tell them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’
23ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼ ਆਖਾਂਗਾ, ‘ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਹੇ ਬੁਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਓ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਓ।”‘
24 “Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock.
24“ਹਰੇਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਬੁਧਿਮਾਨ ਵਰਗਾ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਘਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
25 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn’t fall, for it was founded on the rock.
25ਮੀਂਹ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆ, ਹਢ਼ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਹਨੇਰੀਆਂ ਵਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਧਕ੍ਕਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਨਾ ਡਿਗਿਆ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ੍ਸਦੀ ਨੀਹ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਧਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ।
26 Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn’t do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand.
26ਹਰੇਕ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦਾ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਮੂਰਖ ਆਦਮੀ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਆਪਣਾ ਘਰ ਰੇਤ ਤੇ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
27 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”
27ਅਤੇ ਮੀਂਹ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆ, ਹਢ਼ ਆਏ, ਹਨੇਰੀਆਂ ਵਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਧਕ੍ਕਾ ਵਜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਢਹਿ ਗਿਆ।”
28It happened, when Jesus had finished saying these things, that the multitudes were astonished at his teaching,
28ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖ ਹਟਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਉਸਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
29for he taught them with authority, and not like the scribes.
29ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸਗੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਾਂਗ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਕੋਲ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਸੀ।
