¹If there arise in the midst of you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and he give you a sign or a wonder,

¹Na lak ua jawlnei hiam, mangneimi hiam a hong om ua, chiamtehna hiam, thil lamdang hiam a honetsak ua,

²and the sign or the wonder come to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, “Let us go after other gods” (which you have not known) “and let us serve them”;

²Chiamtehna hiam, thil lamdang hiam a honet sak uh a hongtangtuna, na theih ngei louh uh, pathian dangte jui ni e, a na uh sem ni, na kiang ua a chih uleh;

³you shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or to that dreamer of dreams: for Yahweh your God proves you, to know whether you love Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

³Huai jawlnei hiam, mangneimi hiam thute na pom ding uh ahi kei, TOUPA na Pathian un na lungtang tengteng uh leh na hinna tengteng un TOUPA na Pathian uh na it uhia it lou chih theihtelna din a honzeet ahi.

⁴You shall walk after Yahweh your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and you shall serve him, and cling to him.

⁴TOUPA na Pathian uh na jui ding uh ua, amah laudan na siam ding ua, a thupiakte na jui ding ua, a thugente na pom ding ua, a na te na sem ding ua, amah na len chinten ding uh ahi.

⁵That prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death, because he has spoken rebellion against Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to draw you aside out of the way which Yahweh your God commanded you to walk in. So you shall put away the evil from the midst of you.

⁶If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend, who is as your own soul, entice you secretly, saying, “Let us go and serve other gods,” which you have not known, you, nor your fathers;

⁶U unaupa, na nu tapa hiam, na tapa hiam, na tanu hiam, na ji pom lai hiam, na lawm nangmah hinna bang hial hiam nangawnin leng, hon simkhema, Kisa ni, pathian dangte ma sem ni, a chih ua leh; nang hia, na pipute hiamin leng na theih louh uh pathiante;

⁷of the gods of the peoples who are around you, near to you, or far off from you, from the one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth;

⁷Na kim na vel ua, na kiang chin ua omte hiam, na kigamlat pih deuh uhiam, kawlmong akipana kawlmong khatlam phaa mite pathiante;

⁸you shall not consent to him, nor listen to him; neither shall your eye pity him, neither shall you spare, neither shall you conceal him:

⁸Pha na sakpih ding uh ahi kei, amah na ngai khe ding uh ahi sam keia; na hehpih ding uh ahi keia, na hawi ding uh leng ahi sam kei, na im ding uh leng ahi sam kei;

⁹but you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first on him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.

⁹Na hihlup ngeingei ding uh ahi jaw; hihlum dingin khut na kha masa dinga, huai khit chiangin mipite tengtengin.

¹⁰You shall stone him to death with stones, because he has sought to draw you away from Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

¹⁰Suanga na den lup ding uh ahi, Aigupta gam akipana sal apat honpikhepa TOUPA na Pathian uh kianga kipan honpialsakna ding a zon jiakin.

¹¹All Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall not do any more such wickedness as this is in the midst of you.

¹¹Huchiin Israel mi tengtengin a za ding ua, a lau ding ua, na lak ua huchibang tatsia himhim a chingta kei ding uhi.

¹²If you shall hear tell concerning one of your cities, which Yahweh your God gives you to dwell there, saying,

¹²TOUPA na Pathian un na omna dingua a honpiak na khua khat ua na lak ua pat mi ginalou khenkhat hongpawta,

¹³Certain base fellows are gone out from the midst of you, and have drawn away the inhabitants of their city, saying, “Let us go and serve other gods,” which you have not known;

¹⁴then you shall inquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is done in the midst of you,

¹⁴Ding khia unla, phatuamngai takin dongun; huan, ngai un, thudik a nahiha, huchibang thil kihhua nalak ua hih ahi chih theihtel a hih leh;

¹⁵you shall surely strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein and its livestock, with the edge of the sword.

¹⁵Namsauin huai khuaa omte na hihlup ngeingei ding uh ahi; a sunga om tengteng, gan honte toh namsauin na hihmang vek ding uhi.

¹⁶You shall gather all its spoil into the midst of its street, and shall burn with fire the city, and all its spoil every whit, to Yahweh your God: and it shall be a heap forever; it shall not be built again.

¹⁶Huan, gallak sum tengteng kholakah na la khawm ding ua, huan khua leh gallak sum tengteng TOUPA na Pathian uh kiangah pumhal thillat din na hal dingua, leivui lel ahi tawntung ding a, lam ahi nawn ta kei ding hi.

¹⁷Nothing of the devoted thing shall cling to your hand; that Yahweh may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and show you mercy, and have compassion on you, and multiply you, as he has sworn to your fathers;

¹⁷Gallak sum bel a bangmah mah na khoih ding uh ahi kei TOUPAN a heh mahmaha a kiheisan dia, chitna a honmu sak dinga a honhehpihdinga;TOUPA na Pathian uh mitmuha thil hoih hih dinga thupiak tengteng tua ka honpiak na zuih peuhmah uleh nou a hontam sak dinga, na pi leh pute uh kianga a nakichiam khit bangin.

¹⁸when you shall listen to the voice of Yahweh your God, to keep all his commandments which I command you this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of Yahweh your God.

¹⁸TOUPA na Pathian uh mitmuha thil hoih hih dinga thupiak tengteng tua ka honpiak na zuih peuhmah uleh nou a hontam sak dinga, na pi leh pute uh kianga a nakichiam khit bangin.
