Jeremiah

12

1You are righteous, Yahweh, when I contend with you; yet I would reason the cause with you: why does the way of the wicked prosper? why are all they at ease who deal very treacherously?
1Aw TOUPA, na kianga ka phun in leng, nang jaw na dik nilouhlouha; himahleh ka vuina thu pen ka gen himhim sin. Bangchiin ahia mi thulimloute lam a lamzan sek nak? Bang chiin ahia khemhat peuhmah nuamsaa a om nak uh?
2You have planted them, yes, they have taken root; they grow, yes, they bring forth fruit: you are near in their mouth, and far from their heart.
2Amau na phuta, ahi, zung a kaita ua, a khang ua, ahi, gah a suahta uhi: a muk uah na naia, a sunggil uah lah na gamla ngala.
3But you, Yahweh, know me; you see me, and try my heart toward you: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.
3Aw TOUPA, kei bel na hontheia, na honmua, nang lamah ka lungtang na entel seka, amaute belam goh ding bang maiin kaikhia inla, a gohna ni ding uh sep in.
4How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of the whole country wither? for the wickedness of those who dwell therein, the animals are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our latter end.
4Gamin bangtan ahia a sun dinga, gam pumpi antehlouhingte a vuai ding uh? a tengmite thulimlouhna jiakin gamsate a mang khin ua, vasate leng; I hun nanung uh a mu kei ding uh a chih jiak un.
5If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? and though in a land of peace you are secure, yet how will you do in the pride of the Jordan?
5Khea a pai mite na kitaitehpiha, nang a honbah khit sak uleh bangchiin ahia sakolte na kitaitehpih theih ding? muanna gamah bit takin om lechin leng, Jordan gam gammang ah bangchiin ahia na hih ding?
6For even your brothers, and the house of your father, even they have dealt treacherously with you; even they have cried aloud after you: don’t believe them, though they speak beautiful words to you.
6Na unaute, na pa inkuante ngeiin, amau mahmahin nang a honkhemta ngal ua; amau nang hondelhin ngaihtakin a hon sam ua, thu hoihtak gen mahle uh taksang himhim ken.
7I have forsaken my house, I have cast off my heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies.
7Ka inlehlou paisanin ka gouluah ding ka pai mangta; ka hinnain a it mahmahnu, a melma kiangah ka peta.
8My heritage has become to me as a lion in the forest: she has uttered her voice against me; therefore I have hated her.
8Ka gouluah ding gamnuai humpinelkai bang a honghita, ka siatna dingin a aw a suaha, huaijiakin ka mudah ahi.
9Is my heritage to me as a speckled bird of prey? are the birds of prey against her all around? Go, assemble all the animals of the field, bring them to devour.
9Ka gouluah ding keia dingin sasial ne vasa gial ahi hia? sasial ne vasaten a kimvelin a sual ua hia? gamsa teng vakaikhawm unla, nekbei dingin honpi un.
10Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.
10Belamchingmi tampiin ka grephuan a hihsia ua, ka tan a sik den ua, ka tantuan nuam mahmah mai gamdai gamsegawp a suaksakta uh.
11They have made it a desolation; it mourns to me, being desolate; the whole land is made desolate, because no man lays it to heart.
11Gamsia in a bawlta ua, a segawpa, ka kiangah a vui hi, a gam pumpi a segawpa, himahleh kuamahin a donsak kei.
12Destroyers have come on all the bare heights in the wilderness; for the sword of Yahweh devours from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh has peace.
12Gamdaia tang giau tengtengte ah, hihsemite a hongtungta ua, gam tawp khatlam a kipan leh khatlam phain TOUPA namsauin lah a nebeita ngala, muanna nei himhim a omta kei uh.
13They have sown wheat, and have reaped thorns; they have put themselves to pain, and profit nothing: and you shall be ashamed of your fruits, because of the fierce anger of Yahweh.
13Buh chi a tuh ua, ling a la ua, a kihihgim gawp ua, punna lah a om tuan kei, TOUPA heh mahmah jiakin gah na suahte uh na zumpih ding uh.
14Thus says Yahweh against all my evil neighbors, who touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit: behold, I will pluck them up from off their land, and will pluck up the house of Judah from among them.
14Ka mi Israel kianga gouluah dinga ka piak khoihsemi, ka inveng giloute tengteng tungtangah TOUPAN hichibangin a chi: Ngai un, a gam ua kipan ka botkhe dinga, a lak ua kipan Juda inkote ka phawi khe ding.
15It shall happen, after that I have plucked them up, I will return and have compassion on them; and I will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land.
15Huan, hichi ahi dinga, ka bohkhiak nungin amau ka hehpih nawn dinga, mi chih gouluah ding leh mi chih amah gam mahah ka honpi ding.
16It shall happen, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, As Yahweh lives; even as they taught my people to swear by Baal; then shall they be built up in the midst of my people.
16Huan, hichi ahi dinga, Baal kianga ka mite kichiam a sinsak mah bang un, ka mina, TOUPA a hin-a a hin sung, chia kichiam a kisin ua, ka mite omdan ngentel taka a sin uleh ka mite lakah ka dingkhe sak ding.Ahihhangin a ngaihkhiak kei ua leh huai nam a bohin ka botkhe dinga, ka hihse ding, chih TOUPA thu pawt ahi.
17But if they will not hear, then will I pluck up that nation, plucking up and destroying it, says Yahweh.
17Ahihhangin a ngaihkhiak kei ua leh huai nam a bohin ka botkhe dinga, ka hihse ding, chih TOUPA thu pawt ahi.
