1Then what advantage does the Jew have? Or what is the profit of circumcision?
1Ahihleh, Juda min hamphattuamna bang ahia a neih tuan? Zeksum leng bang ahi a phattuamna?
2Much in every way! Because first of all, they were entrusted with the oracles of God.
2Koi lam peuhah a phattuam hi; Pathian thute a kiang ua kep saka a om jiak ahi pen.
3For what if some were without faith? Will their lack of faith nullify the faithfulness of God?
3Mi khenkhatten ginna neikei mahle uh, banga hi tuana eita? A gintak louhna un Pathian muanhuaidan bangmah louin a bawl tuan ahia?
4May it never be! Yes, let God be found true, but every man a liar. As it is written, “That you might be justified in your words, and might prevail when you come into judgment.” Psalm 51:4
4Bawl tuan lou hial; Pathian tuh mi diktak hita hen, mi chih tuh juauthei hi uheh; Nang na thu genin siam na tan theia, vaihawm na omin leng na zoh theihna dingin, chih gelh bangin.
5But if our unrighteousness commends the righteousness of God, what will we say? Is God unrighteous who inflicts wrath? I speak like men do.
5Himahleh, i diktatlouhnain Pathian diktatna a hihlat hoih sem leh, bang i gen dia? Pathianin mi a gawtin, mi diktat lou ahi hia? (Mihing dan bangin ka gen a hi).
6May it never be! For then how will God judge the world?
6Hilouhial; huchibang hih leh, Pathianin khovel vai bangchin a hawm dia?
7For if the truth of God through my lie abounded to his glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?
7Himahleh ka juauthu gen jiaka Pathian thu dikdan amah hihthupi khophiala a lat sem ngal leh, bangachia kei leng mi khial banga siamlouh tan saka om lai ka hia?
8Why not (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say), “Let us do evil, that good may come?” Those who say so are justly condemned.
8Bang a chi a (hon hek ua, mi khenkhatin gen louhpi hon gen sak bang un). Thil hoih a hongtun theihna dingin thil gilou i hih ding uh, chia i gen jawk louh? Huchibang miten huchibang tuh siamlouh a tan dik him uhi.
9What then? Are we better than they? No, in no way. For we previously warned both Jews and Greeks, that they are all under sin.
9Ahihleh amau sangin i hoih zo khol ua hia? Hoihzo lou hial; Judate leh Grikte khelhna sikhaa om vekin tumalamin leng i ngohta vele;
10As it is written, “There is no one righteous; no, not one.
10Kuamah mi diktat himhim om kei uh, khat lel leng om het kei uh;
11There is no one who understands. There is no one who seeks after God.
11Kuamah theisiam himhim om kei uh, kuamah Pathian zong himhim om kei uh.
12They have all turned aside. They have together become unprofitable. There is no one who does good, no, not, so much as one.” Psalms 14:1-3; 53:1-3; Ecclesiastes 7:20
12A hilou lamah a pial khinta ua, bangmaha phatuam lou in a naom khin vek ua, kuamah thil hoih hih himhim a om kei uh, khat lel leng a om kei uh.
13“Their throat is an open tomb. With their tongues they have used deceit.” Psalm 5:9 “The poison of vipers is under their lips”; Psalm 140:3
13A gawl uh han kihong ahia; a lei un khemna thu a gen ua. A kam sung uah gul gu a om hi.
14“whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.” Psalm 10:7
14A kam uh hamse lohna leh thu khain a dima.
15“Their feet are swift to shed blood.
15A khe uh sisan suah dingin a kin suan uhi;
16Destruction and misery are in their ways.
16A lampi uah manthatna leh gimthuakna a om a;
17The way of peace, they haven’t known.” Isaiah 59:7-8
17Khamuanna lampi leng a theikei uhi.
18“There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Psalm 36:1
18A mit uah Pathian laudansiamna himhim a om kei, chih gelh bangin.
19Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.
19Danin bangpeuh a gen, dan thuthua omte kiangah a gen ahi chi hi thei ngala; kam chiteng a chih theihna dingin leh khovela mi tengteng Pathian vaihawma a om theihna ding un.
20Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight. For through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
20Huchiin, dan thil hih jiakin mi kuamah a mitmuhin siamtangin a om kei ding uh; dan jiakin khelhna theih kimna a hongom ahi ngala.
21But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the law and the prophets;
21Ahihhangin, tun bel dan leh jawlneite natheihsak Pathian dikna tuh dan tellou-a hihlatin a omta;
22even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe. For there is no distinction,
22huai tuh Jesu Kris gintak jiaka, a gingtate tengteng adia Pathian diktatna ahi. Lamdanna himhim a om kei:
23for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;
23mi tengtengin thil a hihkhelh ua, Pathian thupina a tan zohlouh nungun,
24being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus;
24Kris Jesu-a om tatna jiakin, a hehpihnaa a thawna siamtansakin a om uh;
25whom God set forth to be an atoning sacrifice or, a propitiation , through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness through the passing over of prior sins, in God’s forbearance;
25amah tuh a sisan jiaka thuphatawina hiin, ginnaa muh dingin Pathianin a luikheta. Hiai tuh Pathian dikna latsakna ding ahi, aman a dohtheihna jiaka nidanglai khelhnate a paikan tak jiakin;
26to demonstrate his righteousness at this present time; that he might himself be just, and the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus.
26huan, amah ngei tuh a dika, chih leh Jesu-a ginna nei mi tuh siam a tangsak chih chetna dingin.
27Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith.
27Na otna uh koia om ahia leh? Posiahin a omta. Bang danin ahialeh? Thil hihna danin hia? Hi lou hial, ginna danin ahi jaw.
28We maintain therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.
28Huchiin, dan thilhih hi louin, ginnaa min siam tangin i sep uhi.
29Or is God the God of Jews only? Isn’t he the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,
29Pathian, Judate Pathian ka hia? Jentelte Pathian leng ahi sam ka hia? Hi e, Jentelte-a leng ahi.
30since indeed there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith, and the uncircumcised through faith.
30Pathian khat kia a hih jiakin; huan, aman zeksumte a ginna jiakun, huan, zeksumlouhte a ginna jiakun siam a tangsak ding.Huchi a hih leh dan tuh bangmah louin i bawl ua hia? Bawl lou hial. Dan tuh i hihkip jaw uhi.
31Do we then nullify the law through faith? May it never be! No, we establish the law.
31Huchi a hih leh dan tuh bangmah louin i bawl ua hia? Bawl lou hial. Dan tuh i hihkip jaw uhi.
