¹They brought in the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.

¹ ایشان صندوق پیمان خداوند را آوردند و در داخل خیمه‌ای که داوود برافراشته بود، قرار دادند. و قربانی‌های سوختنی و سلامتی به حضور خداوند تقدیم کردند.

²When David had made an end of offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Yahweh.

² پس از اینکه داوود قربانی سوختنی و سلامتی را گذراند، مردم را به نام خدا برکت داد.

³He dealt to everyone of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a portion of meat, and a cake of raisins.

³ داوود به تمام مردها و زنهای قوم اسرائیل یک قرص نان، یک قسمت از گوشت و یک نان کشمشی داد.

⁴He appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of Yahweh, and to celebrate and to thank and praise Yahweh, the God of Israel:

⁴ او گروهی از لاویان را برای خدمت در برابر صندوق پیمان گماشت تا خداوند خدای اسرائیل را نیایش و ستایش کنند.

⁵Asaph the chief, and second to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, with stringed instruments and with harps; and Asaph with cymbals, sounding aloud;

⁵ آساف رهبر بود و بعد از او زکریا، یعیئیل، شمیراموت، یحیئیل، متتیا، الیاب، بنایاهو و عوبید اَدوم بودند. یعیئیل نوازندهٔ چنگ و بربط بود و آساف سنج می‌نواخت.

⁶and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God.

⁶ بنایاهو و یحزیئیل کاهنانی بودند که در برابر صندوق پیمان خدا به طور مرتب شیپور می‌نواختند.

⁷Then on that day David first ordained to give thanks to Yahweh, by the hand of Asaph and his brothers.

⁷ در آن روز بود که داوود برای اولین بار مسئولیّت سرودهای ستایشی برای خداوند را به آساف و لاویان دیگر داد.

⁸Oh give thanks to Yahweh. Call on his name. Make his doings known among the peoples.

⁸ خداوند را شکر کنید و عظمت او را بیان نمایید. کارهایی را که انجام داده است به جهانیان اعلام نمایید.

⁹Sing to him. Sing praises to him. Tell of all his marvelous works.

⁹ برای او سرود حمد بسرایید. و کارهای عظیم او را به مردم بگویید.

¹⁰Glory in his holy name. Let the heart of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.

¹⁰ جلال بر نام مقدّس او باد! شادمان باد، دلهای کسانی‌که خداوند را می‌جویند!

¹¹Seek Yahweh and his strength. Seek his face forever more.

¹¹ از خدا کمک بطلبید و همیشه او را بپرستید.

¹²Remember his marvelous works that he has done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,

¹² ای فرزندان بندهٔ او ابراهیم، و ای فرزندان یعقوب، برگزیدهٔ او، معجزات و داوریهای خدا را به یاد آورید.

¹³you seed of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

¹³ او خداوند خدای ماست. او همهٔ زمین را داوری می‌کند.

¹⁴He is Yahweh our God. His judgments are in all the earth.

¹⁴ پیمان او را همیشه به یاد آور، کلامی را که فرمان داد، برای هزار نسل.

¹⁵Remember his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations,

¹⁵ پیمانی را که با ابراهیم بست، و سوگندی را که با اسحاق یاد کرد حفظ خواهد نمود،

¹⁶the covenant which he made with Abraham, his oath to Isaac.

¹⁶ عهدی با یعقوب بست پیمانی جاودانه با اسرائیل.

¹⁷He confirmed the same to Jacob for a statute, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,

¹⁷ خداوند فرمود: «سرزمین کنعان را به عنوان ملکیّت به شما می‌بخشم.»

¹⁸saying, “I will give you the land of Canaan, The lot of your inheritance,”

¹⁸ وقتی تعداد آنها کم بود و در سرزمین کنعان غریب

¹⁹when you were but a few men in number, yes, very few, and foreigners were in it.

¹⁹ و در کشورها و سلطنت‌ها سرگردان بودند،

²⁰They went about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.

²⁰ خداوند به هیچ‌کس اجازه نداد که به آنها آزاری برساند و برای پشتیبانی آنها به‌ پادشاهان هشدار داد.

²¹He allowed no man to do them wrong. Yes, he reproved kings for their sakes,

²¹ و فرمود: «به برگزیدگان من ظلم نکنید، و به انبیای من ضرر نرسانید»

²²“Don’t touch my anointed ones! Do my prophets no harm!”

²² ای مردم زمین، خداوند را بسرایید. از نجات او هر روز سخن بگویید.

²³Sing to Yahweh, all the earth! Display his salvation from day to day.

²³ جلال او را به ملّتها اعلام نمایید. کارهای شگفت او را در میان همهٔ مردم بگویید.

²⁴Declare his glory among the nations, and his marvelous works among all the peoples.

²⁴ خداوند بزرگ است، او را بسیار ستایش کنید او از همهٔ خدایان شگفت‌انگیزتر است.

²⁵For great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised. He also is to be feared above all gods.

²⁵ زیرا همهٔ خدایان مردم بُتها هستند، امّا خداوند آسمانها را آفرید.

²⁶For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but Yahweh made the heavens.

²⁶ شکوه و جلال در حضور اوست، و نیرو و شادمانی در معبد بزرگ او.

²⁷Honor and majesty are before him. Strength and gladness are in his place.

²⁷ ای تمامی مردم روی زمین، خداوند را سپاس گویید. جلال و توان او را سپاس گویید.

²⁸Ascribe to Yahweh, you relatives of the peoples, ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength!

²⁸ نام با شکوه خداوند را بستایید، به معبد بزرگ او بیایید و هدیه بیاورید.

²⁹Ascribe to Yahweh the glory due to his name. Bring an offering, and come before him. Worship Yahweh in holy array.

²⁹ به لرزه درآیید، همهٔ زمینیان، جهان استوار و پایدار گشته و هرگز نخواهد جُنبید.

³⁰Tremble before him, all the earth. The world also is established that it can’t be moved.

³⁰ ای زمین و آسمان شاد باشید، به ملّتها بگویید خداوند پادشاهی می‌کند.

³¹Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice! Let them say among the nations, “Yahweh reigns!”

³¹ دریا و آنچه در آن است به خروش آیید و کشتزارها و هرچه در آنهاست شادمان گردند.

³²Let the sea roar, and its fullness! Let the field exult, and all that is therein!

³² آنگاه درختان جنگل از شادمانی در حضور خداوند بخوانند زیرا او برای داوری زمین می‌آید،

³³Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before Yahweh, for he comes to judge the earth.

³³ خداوند را سپاس گویید زیرا او نیکوست، و محبّت پایدار او جاودانه است.

³⁴Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.

³⁴ به او بگویید: «ای خدای نجات‌دهنده، ما را رهایی بخش، ما را گردهم آور و از ملّتها رها کن، تا بتوانیم سپاسگزار باشیم و نام مقدّس تو را ستایش کنیم.»

³⁵Say, “Save us, God of our salvation! Gather us together and deliver us from the nations, to give thanks to your holy name, to triumph in your praise.”

³⁵ سپاس بر خداوند خدای اسرائیل! او را از اکنون تا ابد سپاس گویید. آنگاه همهٔ مردم آمین گفتند و خداوند را ستایش کردند.

³⁶Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting. All the people said, “Amen,” and praised Yahweh.

³⁶ داوود آساف و نزدیکانشان را برای خدمت نزد صندوق پیمان گماشت تا کارهای روزمرهٔ آن را انجام دهند.

³⁷So he left there, before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, Asaph and his brothers, to minister before the ark continually, as every day’s work required;

³⁷ او همچنین به عوبید اَدوم پسر یدیتون و شصت و هشت نفر از دستیاران او امر کرد که با آنها کمک کنند. عوبید اَدوم و حوسه وظیفهٔ دروازه‌بانی را داشتند.

³⁸and Obed-Edom with their brothers, sixty-eight; Obed-Edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be doorkeepers;

³⁸ صادوق کاهن و سایر کاهنان را هم برای خدمت در خیمهٔ خداوند بالای تپّه در جبعون تعیین کرد

³⁹and Zadok the priest, and his brothers the priests, before the tabernacle of Yahweh in the high place that was at Gibeon,

³⁹ تا مطابق قوانین نوشته شدهٔ خداوند به قوم اسرائیل، به طور منظّم برای خداوند قربانی‌های سوختنی در قربانگاه هر صبح و عصر تقدیم کنند.

⁴⁰to offer burnt offerings to Yahweh on the altar of burnt offering continually morning and evening, even according to all that is written in the law of Yahweh, which he commanded to Israel;

⁴⁰ با ایشان هیمان، یدوتون و سایر برگزیدگان ویژه، برای خواندن سرودهای نیایشی برای خداوند و محبّت پایدار او انتخاب شدند.

⁴¹and with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest who were chosen, who were mentioned by name, to give thanks to Yahweh, because his loving kindness endures forever;

⁴¹ هیمان و یدوتون همچنین مسئولیّت شیپور و سنج وسازهای دیگر هنگامی که سرودهای پرستشی سراییده می‌شد، به عهده داشتند. آنگاه همهٔ مردم به خانه‌های خود رفتند و داوود به خانهٔ خود بازگشت تا خانوادهٔ خود را برکت دهد.

⁴²and with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should sound aloud, and with instruments for the songs of God; and the sons of Jeduthun to be at the gate.

⁴² آنگاه همهٔ مردم به خانه‌های خود رفتند و داوود به خانهٔ خود بازگشت تا خانوادهٔ خود را برکت دهد.

⁴³All the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.
