¹Now I declare to you, brothers, the Good News which I preached to you, which also you received, in which you also stand,

¹ ای دوستان من، اكنون می‌خواهم مژده‌ای را كه قبلاً به شما اعلام كرده بودم و شما قبول نمودید و در آن پایدار هستید، بیاد شما بیاورم.

²by which also you are saved, if you hold firmly the word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

² اگر به آن متوسّل باشید به وسیلهٔ آن نجات می‌یابید، مگر اینكه ایمان شما واقعی نباشد.

³For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

³ آنچه را كه به من رسیده بود یعنی مهمترین حقایق انجیل را به شما سپردم و آن این است كه مطابق پیشگویی‌های تورات و نوشته‌های انبیا، مسیح برای گناهان ما مرد

⁴that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

⁴ و مدفون شد و نیز بر طبق کتاب‌مقدّس در روز سوم زنده گشت

⁵and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

⁵ و بعد خود را به پطرس و پس از آن به دوازده رسول ظاهر ساخت و

⁶Then he appeared to over five hundred brothers at once, most of whom remain until now, but some have also fallen asleep.

⁶ یک‌بار هم به بیش از پانصد نفر از پیروان دیگر ظاهر شد، كه اغلب آنها تا امروز زنده‌اند ولی بعضی مرده‌اند.

⁷Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles,

⁷ بعد از آن یعقوب و سپس تمام رسولان او را دیدند.

⁸and last of all, as to the child born at the wrong time, he appeared to me also.

⁸ آخر همه، خود را به من كه در برابر آنها طفلی نارس بودم، ظاهر ساخت؛

⁹For I am the least of the apostles, who is not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the assembly of God.

⁹ زیرا من از تمام رسولان او كمتر هستم و حتّی شایستگی آن را ندارم كه رسول خوانده شوم، چون بر كلیسای خدا جفا می‌رسانیدم.

¹⁰But by the grace of God I am what I am. His grace which was bestowed on me was not futile, but I worked more than all of them; yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

¹⁰ امّا به وسیلهٔ فیض خدا آنچه امروز هستم، هستم و فیضی كه او نصیب من گردانید، بیهوده نبود؛ زیرا من از همهٔ ایشان بیشتر زحمت كشیدم. گرچه واقعاً من نبودم؛ بلكه فیض خدا بود كه با من كار می‌کرد.

¹¹Whether then it is I or they, so we preach, and so you believed.

¹¹ به هرحال خواه من بیشتر زحمت كشیده باشم، خواه ایشان، تفاوتی ندارد. زیرا این است آنچه همهٔ ما اعلام می‌کنیم و شما نیز به این ایمان آورده‌اید.

¹²Now if Christ is preached, that he has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?

¹² پس اگر مژده‌ای را كه ما اعلام می‌کنیم، این باشد كه مسیح پس از مرگ زنده شد، چگونه بعضی از شما می‌توانید ادّعا كنید كه قیامت مردگان وجود ندارد؟

¹³But if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither has Christ been raised.

¹³ اگر قیامت مردگان وجود نداشته باشد، پس مسیح هم زنده نشده است!

¹⁴If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain, and your faith also is in vain.

¹⁴ و اگر مسیح زنده نشده باشد، هم بشارت ما پوچ است و هم ایمان شما!

¹⁵Yes, we are found false witnesses of God, because we testified about God that he raised up Christ, whom he didn’t raise up, if it is so that the dead are not raised.

¹⁵ وقتی گفتیم كه خدا مسیح را زنده ساخته است، درصورتی‌که زنده شدن مردگان درست نباشد، دربارهٔ خدا شهادت دروغ داده‌ایم.

¹⁶For if the dead aren’t raised, neither has Christ been raised.

¹⁶ زیرا اگر مردگان زنده نمی‌شوند، مسیح هم مسلّماً زنده نشده است.

¹⁷If Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain; you are still in your sins.

¹⁷ و اگر مسیح زنده نشده است، ایمان شما بیهوده است و شما هنوز در گناهان خود هستید.

¹⁸Then they also who are fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

¹⁸ از آن گذشته ایماندارانی هم كه مرده‌اند، باید هلاک شده باشند!

¹⁹If we have only hoped in Christ in this life, we are of all men most pitiable.

¹⁹ اگر امید ما به مسیح فقط منحصر به این زندگی باشد، از تمام مردم بدبخت‌تر هستیم!

²⁰But now Christ has been raised from the dead. He became the first fruits of those who are asleep.

²⁰ امّا در حقیقت، مسیح پس از مرگ زنده شد و اولین كسی است كه از میان مردگان برخاسته است.

²¹For since death came by man, the resurrection of the dead also came by man.

²¹ زیرا چنانکه مرگ به وسیلهٔ یک انسان آمد، همان‌طور قیامت از مردگان نیز به وسیلهٔ یک انسان دیگر فرا رسید.

²²For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

²² و همان‌طور كه همهٔ آدمیان به‌خاطر همبستگی با آدم می‌میرند، تمام کسانی‌که با مسیح متّحدند، زنده خواهند شد.

²³But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then those who are Christ’s, at his coming.

²³ امّا هركس به نوبت خود زنده می‌شود: اول مسیح و بعد در وقت آمدن او آنانی كه متعلّق به او هستند.

²⁴Then the end comes, when he will deliver up the Kingdom to God, even the Father; when he will have abolished all rule and all authority and power.

²⁴ پس از آن پایان كار فرا خواهد رسید و مسیح تمام فرمانروایان و قوّتها و قدرتها را برانداخته و پادشاهی را به خدای پدر خواهد سپرد.

²⁵For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.

²⁵ زیرا تا آن زمانی‌که خدا همهٔ دشمنان را زیر پای مسیح نگذارد او باید به سلطنت خود ادامه دهد.

²⁶The last enemy that will be abolished is death.

²⁶ آخرین دشمنی كه بر انداخته می‌شود، مرگ است.

²⁷For, “He put all things in subjection under his feet.” Psalm 8:6 But when he says, “All things are put in subjection,” it is evident that he is excepted who subjected all things to him.

²⁷ كلام خدا می‌گوید كه خدا همه‌چیز را زیر پای مسیح قرار داده است. ولی البتّه معلوم است كه عبارت «همه‌چیز» شامل خدا، كه همه‌چیز را تحت فرمان مسیح می‌گذارد، نمی‌شود.

²⁸When all things have been subjected to him, then the Son will also himself be subjected to him who subjected all things to him, that God may be all in all.

²⁸ وقتی‌که همه‌چیز تحت فرمان مسیح قرار بگیرد، مسیح نیز كه پسر خداست، خود را در اختیار خدا كه همه‌چیز را به فرمان او گذاشت، قرار خواهد داد تا خدا بر كلّ كاینات حاكم گردد.

²⁹Or else what will they do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead aren’t raised at all, why then are they baptized for the dead?

²⁹ در غیر این صورت برای چه عدّه‌ای از طرف مردگان تعمید می‌گیرند؟ اگر مردگان اصلاً زنده نمی‌شوند، چرا دیگران به نام ایشان تعمید می‌گیرند؟

³⁰Why do we also stand in jeopardy every hour?

³⁰ و ما چرا باید در تمام ساعات زندگی با خطر روبه‌رو باشیم؟

³¹I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

³¹ ای دوستان من، چون به اتّحاد شما با خداوند، عیسی مسیح افتخار می‌کنم، سوگند می‌‌‌‌‌‌خورم كه هر روز با مرگ روبه‌رو می‌شوم.

³²If I fought with animals at Ephesus for human purposes, what does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, then “let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.” Isaiah 22:13

³² اگر من فقط از روی انگیزه‌های انسانی در افسس با جانوران می‌جنگیدم چه چیزی عاید من می‌شد؟ اگر مردگان زنده نمی‌شوند، پس «بخوریم و بنوشیم، زیرا فردا خواهیم مرد.»

³³Don’t be deceived! “Evil companionships corrupt good morals.”

³³ گول نخورید، معاشران بد، اخلاق خوب را فاسد می‌سازند.

³⁴Wake up righteously, and don’t sin, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.

³⁴ درست فكر كنید و دیگر گناه نكنید. زیرا بعضی از شما خدا را نمی‌شناسید و این را برای شرمساری شما می‌گویم.

³⁵But someone will say, “How are the dead raised?” and, “With what kind of body do they come?”

³⁵ شاید كسی بپرسد: «مردگان چگونه زنده می‌شوند و با چه نوع بدنی ظاهر می‌شوند؟»

³⁶You foolish one, that which you yourself sow is not made alive unless it dies.

³⁶ ای نادانان، وقتی تخمی در زمین می‌كارید، آن زنده نخواهد شد، مگر اینكه اول بمیرد.

³⁷That which you sow, you don’t sow the body that will be, but a bare grain, maybe of wheat, or of some other kind.

³⁷ و آنچه می‌کاری فقط یک دانه است، خواه یک دانهٔ گندم باشد یا هر دانهٔ دیگر و آن هنوز شكل نهایی خود را نگرفته است.

³⁸But God gives it a body even as it pleased him, and to each seed a body of its own.

³⁸ خدا بر طبق ارادهٔ خود بدنی به آن می‌دهد و به هر نوع تخم، بدنی مخصوص می‌بخشد.

³⁹All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.

³⁹ گوشت همهٔ موجودات زنده یک جور نیست، گوشت آدمیان یک جور است و هر دسته از حیوانات، پرندگان و ماهیان گوشت مخصوص به خود دارند.

⁴⁰There are also celestial bodies, and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial differs from that of the terrestrial.

⁴⁰ اجسام آسمانی با اجسام زمینی فرق دارند و زیبایی‌های آنها نیز با هم متفاوت است.

⁴¹There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.

⁴¹ زیبایی خورشید یک‌جور است و زیبایی ماه و ستارگان نحوی دیگر و حتّی در میان ستارگان زیبایی‌های گوناگون یافت می‌شود.

⁴²So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption.

⁴² زنده‌شدن مردگان نیز چنین خواهد بود، آنچه به خاک سپرده می‌شود فانی است و آنچه برمی‌خیزد فناناپذیر است.

⁴³It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power.

⁴³ آنچه به خاک می‌رود ذلیل و خار است. آنچه برمی‌خیزد پرجلال است. در ضعف و ناتوانی كاشته می‌شود و در قدرت سبز می‌شود.

⁴⁴It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body and there is also a spiritual body.

⁴⁴ بدن جسمانی به خاک سپرده می‌شود و بدن روحانی برمی‌خیزد. همچنان‌كه بدن جسمانی هست، بدن روحانی نیز وجود دارد.

⁴⁵So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” Genesis 2:7 The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

⁴⁵ در این خصوص کتاب‌مقدّس می‌فرماید: «اولین انسان یعنی آدم، نفس زنده گشت.» امّا آدم آخر روح حیات بخش گردید.

⁴⁶However that which is spiritual isn’t first, but that which is natural, then that which is spiritual.

⁴⁶ آنچه روحانی است، اول نمی‌آید. اول جسمانی و بعد از آن روحانی می‌آید.

⁴⁷The first man is of the earth, made of dust. The second man is the Lord from heaven.

⁴⁷ آدم اول از خاک زمین ساخته شد و آدم دوم از آسمان آمد.

⁴⁸As is the one made of dust, such are those who are also made of dust; and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

⁴⁸ خاكیان به او كه از خاک ساخته شد شبیه‌اند و آسمانی‌ها هم به او كه از آسمان آمد شباهت دارند.

⁴⁹As we have borne the image of those made of dust, let’s NU, TR read “we will” instead of “let’s” also bear the image of the heavenly.

⁴⁹ همان‌گونه كه شكل خاكی به خود گرفتیم، شكل آسمانی نیز به خود خواهیم گرفت.

⁵⁰Now I say this, brothers, The word for “brothers” here and where context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” that flesh and blood can’t inherit the Kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.

⁵⁰ ای دوستان، مقصودم این است كه آنچه از گوشت و خون ساخته شده است، نمی‌تواند در پادشاهی خدا سهیم گردد و آنچه فانی است، نمی‌تواند در فناناپذیری نصیبی داشته باشد.

⁵¹Behold, I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,

⁵¹ گوش دهید تا رازی را برای شما فاش سازم. همهٔ ما نخواهیم مرد؛

⁵²in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.

⁵² بلكه در یک لحظه با یک چشم بهم‌زدن به محض آنكه شیپور آخر شنیده شود، تغییر خواهیم یافت. زیرا شیپور به صدا در می‌آید و مردگان برای حیات فناناپذیر زنده می‌شوند و ما نیز تغییر خواهیم یافت.

⁵³For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

⁵³ زیرا فنا باید با بقاء پوشیده شود و مرگ به حیات جاودان ملبّس گردد.

⁵⁴But when this corruptible will have put on incorruption, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” Isaiah 25:8

⁵⁴ زمانی‌که فنا با بقا و مرگ با حیات پوشیده شود آنچه كلام خدا می‌فرماید به حقیقت خواهد پیوست كه «مرگ نابود گشته و پیروزی، كامل گردیده است.»

⁵⁵“Death, where is your sting? Hades or, Hell , where is your victory?” Hosea 13:14

⁵⁵ «ای مرگ، پیروزی تو كجاست و ای موت نیش تو كجا؟»

⁵⁶The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

⁵⁶ نیش مرگ از گناه زهرآگین می‌شود و گناه از شریعت قدرت می‌گیرد.

⁵⁷But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁵⁷ امّا خدا را شكر كه او به وسیلهٔ خداوند ما عیسی مسیح به ما پیروزی بخشیده است. بنابراین ای دوستان عزیز من، پابرجا و استوار بمانید. همیشه در كار و خدمت خداوند مشغول باشید؛ زیرا می‌دانید كه زحمات شما در خدمت او بی‌نتیجه نخواهد بود.

⁵⁸Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

⁵⁸ بنابراین ای دوستان عزیز من، پابرجا و استوار بمانید. همیشه در كار و خدمت خداوند مشغول باشید؛ زیرا می‌دانید كه زحمات شما در خدمت او بی‌نتیجه نخواهد بود.
