¹Then Solomon began to build the house of Yahweh at Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where Yahweh appeared to David his father, which he prepared in the place that David had appointed, in the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

¹ سلیمان پادشاه، ساختن معبد بزرگی را که پدرش داوود، قبلاً در اورشلیم بر کوه موریا، در خرمنگاه ارنان یبوسی، جایی که خداوند بر او ظاهر شده بود، آغاز کرد.

²He began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.

² او در روز دوم در ماه دوم سال چهارم سلطنت خود به ساختن آغاز کرد.

³Now these are the foundations which Solomon laid for the building of God’s house. The length by cubits after the first measure was sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.

³ این است اندازه‌هایی که سلیمان برای ساختن معبد بزرگ به کار برد: درازای آن بیست و هفت متر و پهنای آن نُه متر بود.

⁴The porch that was in front, its length, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and the height one hundred twenty; and he overlaid it within with pure gold.

⁴ اتاق ورودی به پهنای معبد بزرگ یعنی نُه متر و ارتفاع پنجاه و چهار متر بود. او داخل آن را با طلای خالص روکش کرد.

⁵The greater house he made a ceiling with fir wood, which he overlaid with fine gold, and ornamented it with palm trees and chains.

⁵ دیوارهای اتاق اصلی را با چوب سرو پوشاند و آنها را با طلای مرغوب روکش کرد، روی آنها شکل درخت خرما و زنجیر طراحی شده بود.

⁶He garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim.

⁶ پادشاه معبد بزرگ را با سنگهای زیبای گرانبها و طلای سرزمین فروایم تزئین کرد.

⁷He overlaid also the house, the beams, the thresholds, and its walls, and its doors, with gold; and engraved cherubim on the walls.

⁷ او تیرها، آستانه‌ها، دیوارها و درهای خانه را با طلا روکش کرد و بر روی دیوارها فرشتگان نگهبان حکاکی کرد.

⁸He made the most holy house: its length, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and its breadth twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.

⁸ او مقدّسترین مکان را ساخت، پهنا و درازای آن نُه متر بود که برابر با پهنای معبد بزرگ بود.

⁹The weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. He overlaid the upper rooms with gold.

⁹ وزن میخهای طلایی معادل ششصد گرم بود. اتاق فوقانی را نیز با طلای خالص روکش کرده بود.

¹⁰In the most holy house he made two cherubim of image work; and they overlaid them with gold.

¹⁰ در مقدّسترین مکان معبد بزرگ، او دو فرشتهٔ نگهبان ساخت و آنها را با طلا پوشاند.

¹¹The wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits long: the wing of the one was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.

¹¹ طول بالهای فرشتگان نگهبان هشت متر و هشتاد سانتیمتر بود که بال یکی دو متر و بیست سانتیمتر و به دیوار معبد بزرگ می‌رسید و بال دیگرش دو متر و بیست سانتیمتر بود که به بال فرشتهٔ نگهبان دیگر برمی‌خورد.

¹²The wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits, joining to the wing of the other cherub.

¹² فرشتهٔ نگهبان دیگر، یک بالش دو متر و بیست سانتیمتر بود که به دیوار اتاق می‌رسید و همچنین بال دیگرش دو متر و بیست سانتیمتر بود که به بال فرشتهٔ نگهبان اول وصل می‌شد.

¹³The wings of these cherubim spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were toward the house.

¹³ بالهای فرشتگان نگهبان هشت متر و هشتاد سانتیمتر بود. فرشتگان نگهبان بر پاهای خود ایستاده بودند و رویشان به طرف در خانه بود.

¹⁴He made the veil of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and ornamented it with cherubim.

¹⁴ سلیمان پرده‌ای از کتان نازک به رنگ بنفش، قرمز، و آبی برای مقدّسترین مکان ساخت و روی آن تصویر فرشتگان نگهبان را نقش کرد.

¹⁵Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty-five cubits high, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.

¹⁵ جلوی خانه دو ستون ساخت که طول آنها پانزده متر و نیم بود و سر ستونهایی به طول دو متر و بیست سانتیمتر روی آنها بود.

¹⁶He made chains in the oracle, and put them on the tops of the pillars; and he made one hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.

¹⁶ او زنجیرهایی ساخت و در بالای ستونها پیچید و صد انار ساخت و به زنجیرها وصل کرد. او ستونها را جلوی معبد بزرگ قرار داد، یکی در سمت راست و دیگری در سمت چپ، ستون طرف راست را یاکین و ستون سمت چپ را بوعز نامید.

¹⁷He set up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.

¹⁷ او ستونها را جلوی معبد بزرگ قرار داد، یکی در سمت راست و دیگری در سمت چپ، ستون طرف راست را یاکین و ستون سمت چپ را بوعز نامید.
