¹Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the assembly of the Thessalonians in God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ:

¹ از طرف پولس و سیلوانس و تیموتاؤس به كلیسای تسالونیكیان كه به پدر ما خدا و عیسی مسیح خداوند تعلّق دارد.

²Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

² خدای پدر و عیسی مسیح خداوند، فیض و آرامش به شما عنایت فرمایند.

³We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, The word for “brothers” here and where context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you towards one another abounds;

³ ای دوستان، ما موظّفیم همواره خدا را به‌خاطر شما سپاس گوییم. آری، شایسته است چنین كنیم؛ زیرا ایمان شما به طور عجیبی رشد می‌کند و محبّت شما به یكدیگر روز افزون است.

⁴so that we ourselves boast about you in the assemblies of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you endure.

⁴ ما در كلیساهای خدا به‌خاطر بردباری و ایمانتان در تحمّل آزارها و رنجها به وجود شما افتخار می‌کنیم.

⁵This is an obvious sign of the righteous judgment of God, to the end that you may be counted worthy of the Kingdom of God, for which you also suffer.

⁵ این آزارها ثابت می‌کند كه خدا از روی انصاف داوری می‌کند و می‌خواهد كه شما شایستهٔ پادشاهی خدا كه به‌خاطر آن رنج می‌برید، بشوید.

⁶Since it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who afflict you,

⁶ خدا عادل است و به کسانی‌که به شما آزار می‌رسانند، جزا خواهد داد

⁷and to give relief to you who are afflicted with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,

⁷ و به شما كه رنج و آزار می‌‌بینید و همچنین به ما آسودگی خواهد بخشید. این كار در روزی كه عیسی خداوند از آسمان با فرشتگان توانای خود

⁸giving vengeance to those who don’t know God, and to those who don’t obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus,

⁸ در آتشی فروزان ظهور كند، انجام خواهد گرفت و به آنانی كه خدا را نمی‌شناسند و انجیل خداوند ما عیسی را رد می‌کنند، كیفر خواهد داد.

⁹who will pay the penalty: eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might,

⁹ آنان كیفر هلاكت جاودانی و دوری از حضور خداوند و محرومیّت از جلال قدرت او را خواهند دید.

¹⁰when he comes to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired among all those who have believed (because our testimony to you was believed) in that day.

¹⁰ در آن روزی كه او می‌آید، از مقدّسین خود جلال خواهد یافت و تمام ایمانداران از دیدن او متعجّب خواهند شد و شما نیز جزء آنها خواهید بود، زیرا به شهادت ما ایمان آوردید.

¹¹To this end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire of goodness and work of faith, with power;

¹¹ به این سبب است كه ما همیشه برای شما دعا می‌کنیم كه خدای ما، شما را شایستهٔ دعوت خود گرداند و همهٔ آرزوهای نیكوی شما را برآورد و فعالیّتهای شما را كه از ایمان سرچشمه می‌گیرد، با قدرت خود به كمال رساند، تا نام خداوند ما عیسی مسیح در شما جلال یابد و شما نیز بر طبق فیض خدای ما و عیسی مسیح خداوند در او جلال یابید.

¹²that the name of our Lord Jesus TR adds “Christ” may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

¹² تا نام خداوند ما عیسی مسیح در شما جلال یابد و شما نیز بر طبق فیض خدای ما و عیسی مسیح خداوند در او جلال یابید.
