¹The word of Yahweh came again to me, saying,

¹ خداوند به من فرمود:

²Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother:

² «ای انسان فانی، دو خواهر بودند، دختران یک مادر.

³and they played the prostitute in Egypt; they played the prostitute in their youth; there were their breasts pressed, and there was handled the bosom of their virginity.

³ وقتی جوان بودند، در مصر روسپیگری کردند. در جوانی روسپی شدند، سینه‌هایشان در آنجا نوازش شد و بکارت خود را از دست دادند.

⁴Their names were Oholah the elder, and Oholibah her sister: and they became mine, and they bore sons and daughters. As for their names, Samaria is Oholah, and Jerusalem Oholibah.

⁴ خواهر بزرگتر اهوله و خواهر کوچکتر اهولیبه نام داشت. اهوله سامره و اهولیبه اورشلیم است. ایشان از آن من شدند و پسران و دختران به دنیا آوردند.

⁵Oholah played the prostitute when she was mine; and she doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians her neighbors,

⁵ در زمانی که اهوله از آن من بود، روسپیگری کرد و عاشق آشوریان شد.

⁶who were clothed with blue, governors and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding on horses.

⁶ رزمندگانی که جامهٔ بنفش به تن داشتند، فرمانداران، سرداران، همهٔ ایشان جوانان دلپسند و اسب سواران بودند.

⁷She bestowed her prostitution on them, the choicest men of Assyria all of them; and on whoever she doted, with all their idols she defiled herself.

⁷ او روسپی همهٔ افسران آشوری شد و شهوت او باعث شد که با پرستش بُتهای آشوری خود را آلوده سازد.

⁸Neither has she left her prostitution since the days of Egypt; for in her youth they lay with her, and they handled the bosom of her virginity; and they poured out their prostitution on her.

⁸ او همچنان به کار خود ادامه داد، فاحشه‌ای در مصر، آنجا که بکارتش را از دست داده بود. از زمانی که دختر جوانی بود، مردان با او همبستر شدند و با او چون فاحشه رفتار کردند.

⁹Therefore I delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, on whom she doted.

⁹ بنابراین من او را به دست عاشقان آشوریش که خواستارشان بود ‌سپردم.

¹⁰These uncovered her nakedness; they took her sons and her daughters; and her they killed with the sword: and she became a byword among women; for they executed judgments on her.

¹⁰ ایشان او را برهنه ساختند و دختران و پسران او را دستگیر کردند و سپس او را با شمشیر کشتند. زنان در همه‌جا مورد سرنوشت شوم او صحبت می‌کردند.

¹¹Her sister Oholibah saw this, yet was she more corrupt in her doting than she, and in her prostitution which were more than the prostitution of her sister.

¹¹ «اگرچه خواهرش اهولیبه این را دید، امّا او در روسپیگری از خواهر خود بدتر، فاسدتر و شهوتران بود.

¹²She doted on the Assyrians, governors and rulers, her neighbors, clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding on horses, all of them desirable young men.

¹² او نیز پر از هوس برای بزرگان آشور، افسران، رزمندگان با جامه‌های آبی روشن و افسران سواره نظام و همهٔ مردان جوان زیبا روی بود.

¹³I saw that she was defiled; they both took one way.

¹³ دیدم که او نیز آلوده شده است و هر دو به یک راه رفته‌اند.

¹⁴She increased her prostitution; for she saw men portrayed on the wall, the images of the Chaldeans portrayed with vermilion,

¹⁴ «او بیشتر و بیشتر در عمق فساد غرق شد. او جذب تصاویر کَنده‌کاری شدهٔ مقامات بابلی روی دیوار با کمربند و سربندهای زیبا که با رنگ قرمز رنگ شده بودند، گشت.

¹⁵dressed with girdles on their waists, with flowing turbans on their heads, all of them princes to look on, after the likeness of the Babylonians in Chaldea, the land of their birth.

¹⁵ هنگامی‌که آنها را دید، شهوتی شد و به دنبال ایشان قاصدانی به بابل فرستاد.

¹⁶As soon as she saw them she doted on them, and sent messengers to them into Chaldea.

¹⁶ بابلی‌ها آمدند و با او همبستر شدند. و با شهوت خود او را آلوده ساختند و پس از آنکه خود را با ایشان آلوده ساخت با بیزاری از ایشان روی‌گردان شد.

¹⁷The Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their prostitution, and she was polluted with them, and her soul was alienated from them.

¹⁷ هنگامی‌که آشکارا به روسپیگری و عریانی خویش ادامه داد، من از او همچون خواهرش بیزار و روی‌گردان شدم.

¹⁸So she uncovered her prostitution, and uncovered her nakedness: then my soul was alienated from her, like as my soul was alienated from her sister.

¹⁸ امّا او بیشتر مانند زمان جوانی‌اش که در سرزمین مصر روسپی بود، روسپیگری کرد.

¹⁹Yet she multiplied her prostitution, remembering the days of her youth, in which she had played the prostitute in the land of Egypt.

¹⁹ او پر از هوس برای مردان شهوترانی بود که مانند الاغ و اسب بودند.

²⁰She doted on their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of donkeys, and whose issue is like the issue of horses.

²⁰ ای اهولیبه، می‌خواستی فسادی را که در جوانی در مصر مرتکب شدی و مجرم شناخته شدی تکرار کنی، هنگامی‌که مردان با سینه‌های تو بازی کردند و تو بکارت خود را از دست دادی.»

²¹Thus you called to memory the lewdness of your youth, in the handling of your bosom by the Egyptians for the breasts of your youth.

²¹ ای اهولیبه، خداوند متعال چنین می‌فرماید: «من عاشقانت را که حالا تو از آنها متنفّر شده‌ای، علیه تو تحریک می‌کنم تا از هر طرف به تو هجوم آورند.

²²Therefore, Oholibah, thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I will raise up your lovers against you, from whom your soul is alienated, and I will bring them against you on every side:

²² بابلی‌ها و تمام کلدانیان را از فقود، شوع و قوع جمع می‌کنم و همچنین آشوریان را که جوانان جنگجو و خوش‌چهره و سوارکاران ماهر هستند با فرماندهان و رهبرانشان برضد تو می‌فرستم.

²³the Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, Pekod and Shoa and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them; desirable young men, governors and rulers all of them, princes and men of renown, all of them riding on horses.

²³ ایشان از شمال با ارتشی بزرگ و ارّابه‌ها و گاریها یورش خواهند آورد. ایشان با سپر و کلاهخود از خودشان محافظت می‌کنند و تو را محاصره خواهند کرد. من تو را به دست ایشان خواهم داد و تو را با قوانین خود داوری خواهند کرد.

²⁴They shall come against you with weapons, chariots, and wagons, and with a company of peoples; they shall set themselves against you with buckler and shield and helmet all around; and I will commit the judgment to them, and they shall judge you according to their judgments.

²⁴ چون از تو خشمگین هستم، اجازه خواهم داد که در خشم خود با تو رفتار کنند. ایشان بینی و گوشهای تو را خواهند برید و فرزندانت را خواهند کشت. بله ایشان پسران و دخترانت را دستگیر می‌کنند و بقیّهٔ را طعمهٔ آتش خواهند کرد.

²⁵I will set my jealousy against you, and they shall deal with you in fury; they shall take away your nose and your ears; and your residue shall fall by the sword: they shall take your sons and your daughters; and your residue shall be devoured by the fire.

²⁵ ایشان جامه از تن تو بیرون خواهند آورد و جواهرات پرارزش تو را خواهند برد.

²⁶They shall also strip you of your clothes, and take away your beautiful jewels.

²⁶ بنابراین به هرزگی و روسپیگری که تو از سرزمین مصر آوردی پایان می‌دهم. تو دیگر خواستار ایشان نخواهی بود و دیگر مصر را به یاد نخواهی آورد.»

²⁷Thus will I make your lewdness to cease from you, and your prostitution brought from the land of Egypt; so that you shall not lift up your eyes to them, nor remember Egypt any more.

²⁷ این است آنچه خداوند متعال می‌فرماید: «من تو را به دست کسانی‌که از ایشان نفرت داری خواهم سپرد، به دست کسانی‌که با بیزاری از ایشان روی‌گردان شدی.

²⁸For thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I will deliver you into the hand of them whom you hate, into the hand of them from whom your soul is alienated;

²⁸ چون از تو متنفّر هستند، هرچه را که برای آن کار کرده‌ای خواهند گرفت و تو را چون فاحشه‌ای عریان رها خواهند کرد.

²⁹and they shall deal with you in hatred, and shall take away all your labor, and shall leave you naked and bare; and the nakedness of your prostitution shall be uncovered, both your lewdness and your prostitution.

²⁹ شهوت و روسپیگری تو، اینها را بر سرت آورده است زیرا تو روسپی ملّتها شدی و خود را با بُتهای ایشان آلوده کردی.

³⁰These things shall be done to you, because you have played the prostitute after the nations, and because you are polluted with their idols.

³⁰ تو در راه خواهرت رفتی، بنابراین جام مجازات او را به دست تو می‌دهم.»

³¹You have walked in the way of your sister; therefore will I give her cup into your hand.

³¹ خداوند متعال می‌فرماید: «تو از جام ژرف و بزرگ خواهرت خواهی نوشید. همه تو را مسخره خواهند کرد و ریشخند خواهند نمود، زیرا گنجایش آن فراوان است.

³²Thus says the Lord Yahweh: You will drink of your sister’s cup, which is deep and large; you will be ridiculed and held in derision; it contains much.

³² تو پر از مستی و اندوه خواهی شد. جام خواهر تو سامره، جام وحشت و نابودی است.

³³You shall be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, with the cup of your sister Samaria.

³³ تو آن را خواهی نوشید و تهی خواهی کرد و با تکه‌های شکسته آن سینهٔ خود را پاره خواهی‌نمود. من خداوند چنین سخن گفته‌ام.»

³⁴You shall even drink it and drain it out, and you shall gnaw the broken pieces of it, and shall tear your breasts; for I have spoken it, says the Lord Yahweh.

³⁴ این است آنچه خداوند متعال می‌فرماید: «چون مرا فراموش و به من پشت کردی، پس به‌خاطر شهوترانی و روسپیگری خود رنج خواهی برد.»

³⁵Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: Because you have forgotten me, and cast me behind your back, therefore you also bear your lewdness and your prostitution.

³⁵ خداوند به من فرمود: «ای انسان فانی، آیا اهوله و اهولیبه را داوری خواهی کرد؟ آنگاه ایشان را از کارهای پلیدشان آگاه ساز.

³⁶Yahweh said moreover to me: Son of man, will you judge Oholah and Oholibah? then declare to them their abominations.

³⁶ زیرا ایشان زنا کرده‌اند و حتّی پسرانی را که برای من زاییده بودند، به عنوان خوراک برای بُتها قربانی کردند.

³⁷For they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands; and with their idols have they committed adultery; and they have also caused their sons, whom they bore to me, to pass through the fire to them to be devoured.

³⁷ همچنین ایشان معبد بزرگ مرا آلوده کردند و روز سبت مرا بی‌حرمت ساختند.

³⁸Moreover this they have done to me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my Sabbaths.

³⁸ در همان روزی که فرزندان خود را کشتند و قربانی بُتها کردند، به معبد بزرگ من آمدند و آن را آلوده ساختند.

³⁹For when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and behold, thus have they done in the midst of my house.

³⁹ «ایشان حتّی به سرزمین‌‌های دور برای مردان قاصدان فرستادند تا بیایند و آمدند. خود را برای ایشان شست‌وشو کردند و چشمهای خود را آرایش کردند و به خود جواهرات آویختند.

⁴⁰Furthermore you have sent for men who come from far, to whom a messenger was sent, and behold, they came; for whom you did wash yourself, paint your eyes, and decorate yourself with ornaments,

⁴⁰ بر روی نیمکت با شکوهی نشستند و بر روی میزی که جلوی آن بود بُخور و روغنی را که به آنها دادم، گذاشتند.

⁴¹and sit on a stately bed, with a table prepared before it, whereupon you set my incense and my oil.

⁴¹ صدای ناهنجار مردم اطراف او را دربر گرفته بود، بسیاری از این مردان مست را از صحرا آورده بودند و ایشان بازوبند به بازوی زنان بستند و تاجهای زیبا بر سرشان گذاشتند.

⁴²The voice of a multitude being at ease was with her: and with men of the common sort were brought drunkards from the wilderness; and they put bracelets on their hands twain, and beautiful crowns on their heads.

⁴² آنگاه گفتم، آه که از زنا کردن فرسوده شده است، امّا ایشان با او همبستر می‌شوند.

⁴³Then I said of her who was old in adulteries, Now will they play the prostitute with her, and she with them.

⁴³ ایشان بارها نزد این روسپیان رفتند، ایشان نزد این زنهای هرزه یعنی اهوله و اهولیبه بازگشتند.

⁴⁴They went in to her, as they go in to a prostitute: so went they in to Oholah and to Oholibah, the lewd women.

⁴⁴ پس داوران دادگر باید ایشان را برای زناکاری و خونریزی مجرم اعلام کنند، زیرا زناکارند و دستهایشان به خون‌ آلوده است.»

⁴⁵Righteous men, they shall judge them with the judgment of adulteresses, and with the judgment of women who shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.

⁴⁵ خداوند متعال چنین می‌فرماید: «گروهی را علیه ایشان برمی‌انگیزم تا ایشان را هراسان و تاراج کنند.

⁴⁶For thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will bring up a company against them, and will give them to be tossed back and forth and robbed.

⁴⁶ این گروه ایشان را سنگسار خواهند کرد و با شمشیرهای خود ایشان را تکه‌تکه خواهند نمود، فرزندانشان را خواهند کشت و خانه‌هایشان را به آتش خواهند کشید.

⁴⁷The company shall stone them with stones, and dispatch them with their swords; they shall kill their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.

⁴⁷ بنابراین در این سرزمین به هرزگی پایان خواهم داد تا هشداری برای همهٔ زنان باشد تا مانند شما هرزگی نکنند. ایشان سزای هرزگی شما را خواهند پرداخت و به‌خاطر بت‌پرستی گناهکارانهٔ خود، مجازات خواهید شد و خواهید دانست که من، خداوند متعال هستم.»

⁴⁸Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.

⁴⁸ ایشان سزای هرزگی شما را خواهند پرداخت و به‌خاطر بت‌پرستی گناهکارانهٔ خود، مجازات خواهید شد و خواهید دانست که من، خداوند متعال هستم.»

⁴⁹They shall recompense your lewdness on you, and you shall bear the sins of your idols; and you shall know that I am the Lord Yahweh.
