¹Then Job answered,

¹ شما چه مددکاران خوبی برای منِ مسکین و بیچاره هستید!

²“How have you helped him who is without power! How have you saved the arm that has no strength!

² و با پندهای عالی و گفتار حکیمانه مرا متوجّه حماقتم ساختید!

³How have you counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!

³ چه کسی به این سخنان شما گوش می‌دهد و چه کسی این حرفها را به شما الهام کرده است؟ بلدد

⁴To whom have you uttered words? Whose spirit came forth from you?

⁴ ارواح مردگان، آبها و موجوداتی که در آنها زندگی می‌کنند، در حضور خدا می‌لرزند.

⁵“Those who are deceased tremble, those beneath the waters and all that live in them.

⁵ در دنیای مردگان، همه‌چیز برای او آشکار است و هیچ چیزی از نظر او پوشیده نیست.

⁶ Sheol Sheol is the lower world or the grave. is naked before God, and Abaddon Abaddon means Destroyer. has no covering.

⁶ خدا آسمان را در فضا پهن کرد و زمین را بی‌ستون، معلّق نگه داشته است.

⁷He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing.

⁷ او ابرها را از آب پُر می‌سازد و ابرها از سنگینی آن نمی‌شکافد.

⁸He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not burst under them.

⁸ روی ماهِ بدر را با ابر می‌پوشاند و از نظرها پنهان می‌کند.

⁹He encloses the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud on it.

⁹ او افق را بر روی اقیانوسها کشید و با آن تاریکی را از روشنایی جدا کرد.

¹⁰He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters, and to the confines of light and darkness.

¹⁰ وقتی او تهدید می‌کند، ستونهایی که آسمان را نگه می‌دارند می‌لرزند و به ارتعاش درمی‌آیند.

¹¹The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his rebuke.

¹¹ با قدرت خود، دریای متلاطم را آرام می‌سازد و با حکمت خود، هیولای دریایی را رام می‌کند.

¹²He stirs up the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through Rahab.

¹² روح او آسمانها را زینت داده است و دست او مار تیزرو را هلاک کرده است. اینها فقط قسمتی از کارهای بزرگ اوست؛ ما فقط زمزمه‌ای شنیده‌ایم. چه کسی می‌تواند، در برابر قدرت عظیم او بایستد.»

¹³By his Spirit the heavens are garnished. His hand has pierced the swift serpent.

¹³ اینها فقط قسمتی از کارهای بزرگ اوست؛ ما فقط زمزمه‌ای شنیده‌ایم. چه کسی می‌تواند، در برابر قدرت عظیم او بایستد.»

¹⁴Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”
