¹The whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled themselves together at Shiloh, and set up the Tent of Meeting there. The land was subdued before them.

¹ بعد از آنکه مردم اسرائیل سرزمین را تسخیر کردند، همهٔ در شیلوه جمع شدند و خیمهٔ مقدّس را برپا کردند.

²Seven tribes remained among the children of Israel, which had not yet divided their inheritance.

² هفت طایفهٔ اسرائیل هنوز سهم زمین خود را نگرفته بودند.

³Joshua said to the children of Israel, “How long will you neglect to go in to possess the land, which Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has given you?

³ پس یوشع به قوم اسرائیل گفت: «تا به کی سستی می‌کنید و نمی‌روید تا سرزمینی را که خداوند خدای اجدادتان به شما داده است، تصرّف کنید؟

⁴Appoint for yourselves three men from each tribe. I will send them, and they shall arise, walk through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance; and they shall come to me.

⁴ از هر طایفه سه نفر را انتخاب نمایید و من آنها را به سراسر سرزمین می‌فرستم تا هر جایی را که می‌‌خواهند صاحب شوند، بررسی کنند و نتیجهٔ بررسی خود را بنویسید و برای من بیاورند.

⁵They shall divide it into seven portions. Judah shall live in his borders on the south, and the house of Joseph shall live in their borders on the north.

⁵ آنگاه آن سرزمین به هفت سهم تقسیم می‌شود. یهودا در قسمت جنوبی خود و طایفهٔ یوسف در قسمت شمالی خود می‌‌مانند.

⁶You shall survey the land into seven parts, and bring the description here to me; and I will cast lots for you here before Yahweh our God.

⁶ و شما زمین را به هفت قسمت تقسیم کرده نقشهٔ آن را برایم بیاورید تا من در حضور خداوند قرعه بیندازم.

⁷For the Levites have no portion among you; for the priesthood of Yahweh is their inheritance. Gad, Reuben, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses the servant of Yahweh gave them.”

⁷ امّا طایفهٔ لاوی در بین شما از آن زمین سهمی‌ نمی‌گیرند، چون سهم آنها این است که به عنوان کاهن، خداوند را خدمت کنند. طایفهٔ جاد، رئوبین و نصف طایفهٔ منسی، سهم زمین خود را قبلاً از موسی، خادم خداوند گرفته‌اند.»

⁸The men arose and went. Joshua commanded those who went to survey the land, saying, “Go walk through the land, survey it, and come again to me. I will cast lots for you here before Yahweh in Shiloh.”

⁸ پیش از آن که نمایندگان طایفه‌ها به مأموریت خود بروند، یوشع به آنها دستور داد: «به سراسر آن سرزمین بروید. آن را بررسی کنید و بعد بیایید و به من گزارش کتبی بدهید و من در حضور خداوند قرعه می‌اندازم.»

⁹The men went and passed through the land, and surveyed it by cities into seven portions in a book. They came to Joshua to the camp at Shiloh.

⁹ پس آنها به تمام قسمت‌های آن سرزمین رفته و گزارشی نوشتند که چگونه شهرهای آنجا را به هفت قسمت تقسیم کردند. بعد با فهرست نامهای شهرها، به اردوگاه یوشع در شیلوه برگشتند.

¹⁰Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before Yahweh. There Joshua divided the land to the children of Israel according to their divisions.

¹⁰ یوشع با مشورت خداوند برای ایشان در شیلوه قرعه انداخت و در آنجا سهم هفت طایفهٔ باقیماندهٔ بنی‌اسرائیل تعیین شد.

¹¹The lot of the tribe of the children of Benjamin came up according to their families. The border of their lot went out between the children of Judah and the children of Joseph.

¹¹ قرعهٔ اول برای خاندانهای طایفهٔ بنیامین بود. ملکیّت آنها بین طایفهٔ یهودا و یوسف واقع بود.

¹²Their border on the north quarter was from the Jordan. The border went up to the side of Jericho on the north, and went up through the hill country westward. It ended at the wilderness of Beth Aven.

¹² سرحد شمالی آن، از رود اردن شروع شده، به شمال اریحا می‌‌رسید، و از آنجا به طرف غرب، تا کوهستان و بیابان بیت آون ادامه داشت.

¹³The border passed along from there to Luz, to the side of Luz (the same is Bethel), southward. The border went down to Ataroth Addar, by the mountain that lies on the south of Beth Horon the lower.

¹³ از آن نقطه به طرف جنوب به لوز یعنی بیت‌ئیل و سپس به عطاروت ادار به طرف کوهی در جنوب بیت حورون پایین می‌‌رفت.

¹⁴The border extended, and turned around on the west quarter southward, from the mountain that lies before Beth Horon southward; and ended at Kiriath Baal (the same is Kiriath Jearim), a city of the children of Judah. This was the west quarter.

¹⁴ بعد به سوی مغرب دور زده، از پهلوی کوهی که در بیت حورون است می‌گذشت و به طرف جنوب به قریت بعل که قریت یعاریم هم نامیده می‌‌شود و متعلّق به طایفهٔ یهودا بود خاتمه می‌یافت. این بود سرحد غربی آن.

¹⁵The south quarter was from the farthest part of Kiriath Jearim. The border went out westward, and went out to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah.

¹⁵ سرحد جنوبی آن از کنار قریت یعاریم شروع شده، به چشمه‌های نفتوح،

¹⁶The border went down to the farthest part of the mountain that lies before the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is in the valley of Rephaim northward. It went down to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite southward, and went down to En Rogel.

¹⁶ و از آنجا به دامنهٔ کوهی که مشرف بر درّهٔ هنوم در انتهای شمال دشت رفائیم واقع بود، می‌‌رفت. بعد از درّهٔ هنوم گذشته، به‌ طرف جنوب، جایی که یبوسیان زندگی می‌کردند رسیده، از آنجا به طرف عین روجل می‌‌رفت.

¹⁷It extended northward, went out at En Shemesh, and went out to Geliloth, which is over against the ascent of Adummim. It went down to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.

¹⁷ ‌ بعد به طرف شمال پیچیده، به عین شمس و سپس تا جلیلوت، مقابل گردنه اَدّمیم می‌‌رسید. از آنجا به طرف پایین به سنگ بوهن، پسر رئوبین

¹⁸It passed along to the side over against the Arabah northward, and went down to the Arabah.

¹⁸ و باز از شمال دشت اردن گذشته، به عربهٔ پایین می‌‌رفت.

¹⁹The border passed along to the side of Beth Hoglah northward; and the border ended at the north bay of the Salt Sea, at the south end of the Jordan. This was the south border.

¹⁹ از آنجا هم گذشته، به طرف شمال بیت حجله می‌‌رفت و در خلیج دریای شور ختم می‌شد. این سرحد جنوبی آن بود.

²⁰The Jordan was its border on the east quarter. This was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, by the borders around it, according to their families.

²⁰ رود اردن سرحد شرقی آن را تشکیل می‌‌داد. این سرحدات سهم خاندان طایفهٔ بنیامین بود.

²¹Now the cities of the tribe of the children of Benjamin according to their families were Jericho, Beth Hoglah, Emek Keziz,

²¹ این شهرها متعلّق به خاندانهای طایفهٔ بنیامین بودند: اریحا، بیت‌حجله، عمیق قصیص،

²²Beth Arabah, Zemaraim, Bethel,

²² بیت عربه، صمارایم، بیت‌ایل،

²³Avvim, Parah, Ophrah,

²³ عَّویم، فاره، عفروت،

²⁴Chephar Ammoni, Ophni, and Geba; twelve cities with their villages.

²⁴ کفرعمونی، عفنی و جابع، جمعاً دوازده شهر و روستاهای اطراف آنها.

²⁵Gibeon, Ramah, Beeroth,

²⁵ جلعون، رامه، بئیروت،

²⁶Mizpeh, Chephirah, Mozah,

²⁶ مصفه، کفیره، موصه،

²⁷Rekem, Irpeel, Taralah,

²⁷ راقم، یرفئیل، تراله، صیله، آلف، یبوس اعنی اورشلیم، جبعه و قریت یعاریم. جمعاً چهارده شهر با روستاهای اطراف آنها. این بود سهم خاندان طایفهٔ بنیامین.

²⁸Zelah, Eleph, the Jebusite (the same is Jerusalem), Gibeath, and Kiriath; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the children of Benjamin according to their families.

²⁸ صیله، آلف، یبوس اعنی اورشلیم، جبعه و قریت یعاریم. جمعاً چهارده شهر با روستاهای اطراف آنها. این بود سهم خاندان طایفهٔ بنیامین.
