Lamentations

3

1I am the man that has seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.
1 من آن کسی هستم که چوب مجازات خدا را خورده‌ام.
2He has led me and caused me to walk in darkness, and not in light.
2 او مرا به اعماق تاریکی برده
3Surely against me he turns his hand again and again all the day.
3 و تمام روز دست خود را برضد من بلند کرده است.
4My flesh and my skin has he made old; he has broken my bones.
4 گوشت و پوستِ بدن مرا فرتوت ساخته و استخوانهایم را شکسته است.
5He has built against me, and surrounded me with gall and travail.
5 مرا با سختی و مشقّت محاصره کرده
6He has made me to dwell in dark places, as those that have been long dead.
6 و مانند کسی‌که سالها پیش مرده باشد، در تاریکی نشانده است.
7He has walled me about, that I can’t go forth; he has made my chain heavy.
7 دیواری به دورم کشیده و مرا با زنجیرهای سنگین بسته است و نمی‌توانم فرار کنم.
8Yes, when I cry, and call for help, he shuts out my prayer.
8 برای کمک التماس می‌کنم، امّا او دعایم را نمی‌پذیرد.
9He has walled up my ways with cut stone; he has made my paths crooked.
9 راه مرا از هر طرف با دیوارهای سنگی بسته و آن را پُر پیچ و خم ساخته است.
10He is to me as a bear lying in wait, as a lion in secret places.
10 او مانند خرسی در کمین من نشسته و مثل شیری برای حمله به من آماده است.
11He has turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces; he has made me desolate.
11 مرا از راهم به گوشه‌ای برده و پاره پاره‌ام نمود و ترک گفت.
12He has bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
12 کمان خود را کشید و مرا هدف تیرهای خود قرار داد.
13He has caused the shafts of his quiver to enter into my kidneys.
13 تیرهایش به اعماق قلبم فرو رفت.
14I am become a derision to all my people, and their song all the day.
14 مردم مرا مسخره می‌کنند و تمام روز به من می‌خندند.
15He has filled me with bitterness, he has sated me with wormwood.
15 با سختی‌ها و مصیبت‌ها زندگی را برای من تلخ ساخته است.
16He has also broken my teeth with gravel stones; he has covered me with ashes.
16 رویم را به خاک مالید و دندانهایم را با سنگها شکست.
17You have removed my soul far off from peace; I forgot prosperity.
17 سعادت و سلامتی را از من گرفته است.
18I said, My strength is perished, and my expectation from Yahweh.
18 گفتم: «شوکت و جلال من از بین رفت و امید من از خداوند قطع گردید.»
19Remember my affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.
19 وقتی آوارگی و مصیبت‌های خود را به یاد می‌آورم، زندگی به کامم تلخ می‌شود.
20My soul still remembers them, and is bowed down within me.
20 همیشه به آنها فکر می‌کنم و روحم پریشان می‌گردد.
21This I recall to my mind; therefore have I hope.
21 امّا با این‌همه وقتی رنج‌هایم به یادم می‌آورم، نومید نمی‌شوم،
22It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail.
22 زیرا محبّت خداوند پایدار و رحمت او بی‌پایان است.
23They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
23 آنها هر صبح تازه می‌باشند و وفاداری او عظیم می‌باشد.
24Yahweh is my portion, says my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
24 خداوند همه‌چیز من است، پس بر او امید دارم.
25Yahweh is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.
25 خداوند بر تمام کسانی‌که بر او توکّل دارند و طالب او می‌باشند، مهربان است.
26It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Yahweh.
26 پس بهتر است که با صبر منتظر باشیم تا خداوند ما را نجات دهد.
27It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
27 چه نیکوست که در هنگام جوانی صبر و تحمّل را بیاموزیم.
28Let him sit alone and keep silence, because he has laid it on him.
28 وقتی گرفتار مصیبتی از جانب خداوند می‌شویم، باید خاموش و تنها بنشینیم؛
29Let him put his mouth in the dust, if so be there may be hope.
29 و در حضور خداوند به خاک بیافتیم، شاید هنوز امیدی باقی باشد.
30Let him give his cheek to him who strikes him; let him be filled full with reproach.
30 وقتی کسی بخواهد ما را بزند، صورت خود را جلو بیاوریم و وقتی به ما اهانت می‌کنند، تحمّل کنیم.
31For the Lord will not cast off forever.
31 زیرا خداوند ما را برای همیشه ترک نمی‌کند.
32For though he cause grief, yet he will have compassion according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
32 هرچند خداوند غم و اندوه را بر سر ما بیاورد، ولی از روی محبّت سرشار خود بر ما رحمت خواهد کرد.
33For he does not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men.
33 خداوند از غم و اندوه ما خشنود نمی‌گردد.
34To crush under foot all the prisoners of the earth,
34 وقتی اسیران و ستمدیدگان ما پایمال می‌شوند؛
35To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the Most High,
35 هنگامی‌که حقّی را که خدا به ما داده است، پایمال می‌گردد؛
36To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord doesn’t approve.
36 و زمانی که در حق شخصی در دادگاه بی‌عدالتی می‌شود، خدا همه را می‌بیند.
37Who is he who says, and it comes to pass, when the Lord doesn’t command it?
37 هیچ امری بدون اراده و رضای خداوند انجام نمی‌شود.
38Doesn’t evil and good come out of the mouth of the Most High?
38 خیر و شر، تنها به فرمان خداوند متعال واقع می‌شود.
39Why does a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
39 پس چرا وقتی به‌خاطر گناهان خود مجازات می‌شویم، شکایت کنیم؟
40Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to Yahweh.
40 بیایید رفتار خود را بسنجیم و به سوی خداوند بازگردیم.
41Let us lift up our heart with our hands to God in the heavens.
41 بیایید با تمام قلب، دست دعا به سوی خدایی که در آسمانهاست بلند کنیم،
42We have transgressed and have rebelled; you have not pardoned.
42 و بگوییم: «خداوندا، ما گناهکاریم و از فرمان تو سرکشی کرده‌ایم و تو ما را نبخشیده‌ای.
43You have covered with anger and pursued us; you have killed, you have not pitied.
43 «بر ما غضب کردی و ما را کُشتی، رحمت تو به وسیلهٔ خشمت پنهان گشت.
44You have covered yourself with a cloud, so that no prayer can pass through.
44 چون بر ما خشمگین بودی، خود را از ما پنهان کردی تا دعاهای ما به حضور تو نرسد.
45You have made us an off-scouring and refuse in the midst of the peoples.
45 تو ما را پیش مردم جهان همچون خاکروبه و زباله ساختی.
46All our enemies have opened their mouth wide against us.
46 «تمام دشمنان ما، ما را تحقیر می‌کنند.
47Fear and the pit have come on us, devastation and destruction.
47 با هلاکت و نابودی روبه‌رو شده‌ایم و ترس و وحشت ما را فراگرفته است.
48My eye runs down with streams of water, for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
48 به‌خاطر نابودی قومم، سیل اشک از چشمانم جاریست.
49My eye pours down, and doesn’t cease, without any intermission,
49 «پیوسته اشک می‌ریزم
50Until Yahweh look down, and see from heaven.
50 تا خداوند از آسمان به پایین بنگرد و ما را ببیند.
51My eye affects my soul, because of all the daughters of my city.
51 وقتی می‌بینم چه بلایی بر سر دختران شهر من آمده است، دلم از غصّه ریش‌ریش می‌شود.
52They have chased me relentlessly like a bird, those who are my enemies without cause.
52 «دشمنان بدون هیچ دلیلی مرا مثل پرنده به دام انداختند.
53They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and have cast a stone on me.
53 مرا زنده در چاه انداختند و سنگی بر سر آن گذاشتند.
54Waters flowed over my head; I said, I am cut off.
54 آب از سرم گذشت و فکر کردم که بزودی خواهم مرد.
55I called on your name, Yahweh, out of the lowest dungeon.
55 «خداوندا، از ته چاه تو را طلبیدم.
56You heard my voice; don’t hide your ear at my breathing, at my cry.
56 فریاد مرا شنیدی و به ناله‌های من گوش دادی.
57You drew near in the day that I called on you; you said, Don’t be afraid.
57 وقتی به حضور تو دعا کردم، آمدی و گفتی: 'نترس!'
58Lord, you have pleaded the causes of my soul; you have redeemed my life.
58 «خداوندا، تو از حق من دفاع کردی و از مرگ نجاتم دادی.
59Yahweh, you have seen my wrong. Judge my cause.
59 تو ای خداوند، شاهد ظلم‌هایی که در حق من کردند، بودی؛ پس به داد من برس و خودت داوری کن.
60You have seen all their vengeance and all their devices against me.
60 تو می‌دانی که دشمنانم همه از من نفرت دارند و برضد من دسیسه می‌چینند.
61You have heard their reproach, Yahweh, and all their devices against me,
61 «خداوندا، تو شنیده‌ای که آنها چگونه به من اهانت کرده و برضد من توطئه چیده‌اند.
62The lips of those that rose up against me, and their device against me all the day.
62 دشمنانم تمام روز دربارهٔ من سخنان بد می‌گویند و برای آزار من نقشه می‌کشند.
63You see their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their song.
63 در همه حال به من می‌خندند و مسخره‌ام می‌کنند.
64You will render to them a recompense, Yahweh, according to the work of their hands.
64 «خداوندا، آنها را به سزای کارهایشان برسان.
65You will give them hardness of heart, your curse to them.
65 آنها را لعنت کن تا گرفتار غم و درد شوند. با خشم و غضب آنها را تعقیب کن و از روی زمین نابود ساز.»
66You will pursue them in anger, and destroy them from under the heavens of Yahweh.
66 با خشم و غضب آنها را تعقیب کن و از روی زمین نابود ساز.»
