¹ Yahweh “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “LORD” (all caps) in other translations. called to Moses, and spoke to him out of the Tent of Meeting, saying,

¹ خداوند از خیمهٔ مقدّس، موسی را فراخوانده به او فرمود:

²“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When anyone of you offers an offering to Yahweh, you shall offer your offering of the livestock, from the herd and from the flock.

² به قوم اسرائیل بگو که وقتی کسی برای خداوند قربانی می‌کند، قربانی او باید گاو، گوسفند یا بُز باشد.

³“‘If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish. He shall offer it at the door of the Tent of Meeting, that he may be accepted before Yahweh.

³ اگر برای قربانی سوختنی، گاو می‌آورد، آن گاو باید نر و بی‌عیب باشد. او باید قربانی را در برابر در ورودی خیمهٔ مقدّس تقدیم کند، تا مورد قبول خداوند قرار گیرد.

⁴He shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.

⁴ او باید دست خود را بر سر گاو بگذارد تا قربانی او پذیرفته و گناهانش بخشیده شود.

⁵He shall kill the bull before Yahweh. Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall present the blood and sprinkle the blood around on the altar that is at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

⁵ آنگاه وی گاو را در حضور خداوند ذبح کند و پسران هارون که کاهنان می‌باشند، خون آن را به چهار طرف قربانگاه که جلوی در ورودی خیمهٔ مقدّس است بپاشند.

⁶He shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into pieces.

⁶ آنگاه پوست قربانی را بکَند و آن را تکه‌تکه کند.

⁷The sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar, and lay wood in order on the fire;

⁷ کاهنان، یعنی پسران هارون، هیزم را بر قربانگاه بگذارند، آتش را روشن کنند،

⁸and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall lay the pieces, the head, and the fat in order on the wood that is on the fire which is on the altar;

⁸ و تکه‌های حیوان را با سر و چربی آن روی هیزم بگذارند.

⁹but its innards and its legs he shall wash with water. The priest shall burn the whole on the altar, for a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.

⁹ سپس آن شخص دل و روده و پاچه‌های حیوان را با آب بشوید و کاهن تمام آن را در آتش روی قربانگاه بسوزاند. این قربانی سوختنی که بر آتش تقدیم می‌شود مورد پسند خداوند قرار می‌‌گیرد.

¹⁰“‘If his offering is from the flock, from the sheep, or from the goats, for a burnt offering, he shall offer a male without blemish.

¹⁰ اگر گوسفند یا بُز را قربانی کند، آن حیوان باید نر و بی‌عیب باشد

¹¹He shall kill it on the north side of the altar before Yahweh. Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall sprinkle its blood around on the altar.

¹¹ و آن را در سمت شمال قربانگاه در حضور خداوند ذبح کند. کاهنان، یعنی پسران هارون، خون آن را به چهار طرف قربانگاه بپاشند.

¹²He shall cut it into its pieces, with its head and its fat. The priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is on the altar,

¹² سپس آن شخص، قربانی را تکه‌تکه کند تا کاهن آن تکه‌ها را با سر و چربی آن بر هیزم روی قربانگاه قرار دهد.

¹³but the innards and the legs he shall wash with water. The priest shall offer the whole, and burn it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.

¹³ آن شخص باید دل و روده و پاچهٔ حیوان را با آب بشوید و کاهن همه را بالای قربانگاه بسوزاند. این قربانی سوختنی که بر آتش تقدیم می‌شود، مورد پسند خداوند قرار می‌گیرد.

¹⁴“‘If his offering to Yahweh is a burnt offering of birds, then he shall offer his offering of turtledoves, or of young pigeons.

¹⁴ اگر شخصی پرنده‌ای را برای قربانی می‌آورد، آن پرنده باید یک قمری یا یک جوجه کبوتر باشد.

¹⁵The priest shall bring it to the altar, and wring off its head, and burn it on the altar; and its blood shall be drained out on the side of the altar;

¹⁵ کاهن آن را به قربانگاه بیاورد و سرش را بکَند و در قربانگاه بسوزاند. بعد خون آن را بر پهلوی قربانگاه بریزد.

¹⁶and he shall take away its crop with its filth, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, in the place of the ashes.

¹⁶ همچنین سنگدان و مواد داخل آن را بیرون بیاورد و به طرف شرق قربانگاه، در خاکستردانی بیندازد. بعد، بالهای آن را بگیرد و پرنده را از وسط پاره کند، امّا پرنده نباید دو تکه شود. آنگاه کاهن آن را بر هیزم بالای قربانگاه بسوزاند. این قربانی سوختنی که بر آتش تقدیم می‌شود مورد پسند خداوند قرار می‌گیرد.

¹⁷He shall tear it by its wings, but shall not divide it apart. The priest shall burn it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.

¹⁷ بعد، بالهای آن را بگیرد و پرنده را از وسط پاره کند، امّا پرنده نباید دو تکه شود. آنگاه کاهن آن را بر هیزم بالای قربانگاه بسوزاند. این قربانی سوختنی که بر آتش تقدیم می‌شود مورد پسند خداوند قرار می‌گیرد.
