¹Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brothers the priests, and they built the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up its doors; even to the tower of Hammeah they sanctified it, to the tower of Hananel.

¹ دیوار شهر بدین‌گونه ساخته شد. الیاشب کاهن اعظم و کاهنان دیگر، دروازهٔ گوسفند را نصب کردند. آنان آن را تقدیس کردند و دروازه‌هایش را برپا ساختند و دیوار را تا بُرج صد و بُرج حننئیل تقدیس کردند.

²Next to him built the men of Jericho. Next to them built Zaccur the son of Imri.

² مردان اریحا قسمت بعدی دیوار را ساختند. در کنار ایشان زکور پسر امری قسمت دیگر دیوار را بازسازی کرد.

³The sons of Hassenaah built the fish gate. They laid its beams, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars.

³ خاندان هسناه دروازهٔ ماهی را ساختند و تیرهای سقف آن را گذاشتند و دروازه‌ها و قفل و پشت‌بندهایش را نصب کردند.

⁴Next to them, Meremoth the son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz made repairs. Next to them, Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabel made repairs. Next to them, Zadok the son of Baana made repairs.

⁴ قسمت بعدی دیوار را مرعوت پسر اوریا نوهٔ حقوص تعمیر کرد. در کنار او مشلام پسر برکیا، نوهٔ مشیزبئیل، و صادوق پسر بعنا قسمت دیگر را بازسازی کردند.

⁵Next to them, the Tekoites made repairs; but their nobles didn’t put their necks to the work of their lord.

⁵ قسمت بعدی دیوار را مردم تقوع ساختند، امّا بزرگان ایشان از وظایفی که سرپرستان به آنان سپردند، پیروی نکردند و از انجام کار بدنی خودداری ورزیدند.

⁶Joiada the son of Paseah and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah repaired the old gate. They laid its beams, and set up its doors, and its bolts, and its bars.

⁶ یویاداع پسر فاسیح و مشلام پسر بوریا، دروازهٔ یشانه را بازسازی کردند و قفلها و پشت‌بندهایش را نصب کردند.

⁷Next to them, Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, repaired the residence of the governor beyond the River.

⁷ در کنار ایشان ملتیای جبعونی، یادون میرونوتی و اهالی جبعون و مصفه، قسمت دیگر دیوار را تا محل سکونت فرماندارِ غرب رود فرات، بازسازی کردند.

⁸Next to him, Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths, made repairs. Next to him, Hananiah one of the perfumers made repairs, and they fortified Jerusalem even to the broad wall.

⁸ عُزیئیل پسر حرهایا که زرگر بود، قسمت بعدی را تعمیر کرد. در کنار او حننیای عطار قسمت دیگر دیوار را ساخت. به این ترتیب آنان دیوار شهر اورشلیم را تا دیوار پهن بازسازی کردند.

⁹Next to them, Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, made repairs.

⁹ در کنار ایشان رفایا پسر حور، که فرماندار نصف منطقهٔ اورشلیم بود، دیوار را تعمیر کرد.

¹⁰Next to them, Jedaiah the son of Harumaph made repairs across from his house. Next to him, Hattush the son of Hashabneiah made repairs.

¹⁰ در کنار ایشان یدایا پسر حروماف قسمتی از دیوار را که نزدیک خانه‌اش بود، بازسازی کرد. قسمت بعدی را حتوش پسر حشبنیا تعمیر کرد.

¹¹Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hasshub the son of Pahathmoab, repaired another portion, and the tower of the furnaces.

¹¹ ملکیا پسر حاریم و حشوب پسر فحت موآب بُرج تنورها و قسمت بعدی دیوار را تعمیر کردند.

¹²Next to him, Shallum the son of Hallohesh, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters, made repairs.

¹² شلوم پسر هلوحیش، فرماندار نصف دیگر منطقهٔ اورشلیم، با کمک دخترانش قسمت بعدی را بنا کردند.

¹³Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah repaired the valley gate. They built it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and one thousand cubits of the wall to the dung gate.

¹³ حانون و اهالی زانوح دروازهٔ درّه را ساختند. دروازه‌ها را نصب کردند و برای بستن آنها قفلها و پشت‌بندهایش را نصب کردند، و حدود پانصد متر از دیوار را تا دروازهٔ خاکروبه تعمیر کردند.

¹⁴Malchijah the son of Rechab, the ruler of the district of Beth Haccherem repaired the dung gate. He built it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars.

¹⁴ ملیکا پسر رکاب، فرماندار بیت هکاریم، دروازهٔ خاکروبه را بازسازی کرد و درها را و قفلها و پشت‌بندها را نیز برای بستن آن نصب کرد.

¹⁵Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of the district of Mizpah repaired the spring gate. He built it, and covered it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and the wall of the pool of Shelah by the king’s garden, even to the stairs that go down from the city of David.

¹⁵ شلوم پسر کلحوزه، فرماندار بخش مصفه، دروازهٔ چشمه را بازسازی کرد و تیرها و درها را نصب کرد و قفلها و پشت‌بندهایش را وصل کرد. همچنین از حوض سیلوحا که کنار باغ شاهنشاه بود تا پلّه‌هایی که به شهر داوود می‌رسید، دیوارها را بازسازی کرد.

¹⁶After him, Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of half the district of Beth Zur, made repairs to the place opposite the tombs of David, and to the pool that was made, and to the house of the mighty men.

¹⁶ در کنار او نحمیا پسر عزبوق، فرماندار نیمی از بخش بیت‌صور، دیوار را تا مقابل آرامگاه داوود و تا استخر و پادگانهای ارتش بازسازی کرد.

¹⁷After him, the Levites, Rehum the son of Bani made repairs. Next to him, Hashabiah, the ruler of half the district of Keilah, made repairs for his district.

¹⁷ لاویانی که در زیر نامشان برده شده است، چندین قسمت از دیوار را بازسازی کردند: رحوم پسر بانی قسمت بعدی دیوار را ساخت. حشبیا فرماندار نصف بخش قعیله، و قسمت دیگر دیوار را به نمایندگی مردم بخش خود بنا کرد.

¹⁸After him, their brothers, Bavvai the son of Henadad, the ruler of half the district of Keilah made repairs.

¹⁸ قسمت بعدی را بوای پسر حیناداد فرماندار نصف بخش دیگر قعیله بازسازی کرد.

¹⁹Next to him, Ezer the son of Jeshua, the ruler of Mizpah, repaired another portion, across from the ascent to the armory at the turning of the wall.

¹⁹ عازر پسر یشوع که فرماندار مصفه بود از روبه‌روی انبار اسلحه تا جایی را که دیوار پیچ می‌خورد، بازسازی کرد.

²⁰After him, Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired another portion, from the turning of the wall to the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest.

²⁰ باروک پسر زبای قسمت بعدی را تا دروازهٔ خانهٔ الیاشب کاهن اعظم بازسازی نمود.

²¹After him, Meremoth the son of Uriah the son of Hakkoz repaired another portion, from the door of the house of Eliashib even to the end of the house of Eliashib.

²¹ مریموت، پسر اوریا و نوهٔ حقوص، قسمت بعدی دیوار را تا انتهای خانهٔ الیاشیب بنا کرد.

²²After him, the priests, the men of the Plain made repairs.

²² کاهنانی که در زیر نامشان برده شده است، چندین قسمت از دیوار را بازسازی کردند: کاهنانِ ساکن اطراف اورشلیم قسمت بعدی دیوار را ساختند.

²³After them, Benjamin and Hasshub made repairs across from their house. After them, Azariah the son of Maaseiah the son of Ananiah made repairs beside his own house.

²³ بنیامین و حشوب قسمت بعدی را که مقابل خانهٔ خودشان قرار داشت، بازسازی کردند. عزریا پسر معسیا نوهٔ عننیا قسمت بعدی را که در مقابل خانهٔ خودش بود، بازسازی کرد.

²⁴After him, Binnui the son of Henadad repaired another portion, from the house of Azariah to the turning of the wall, and to the corner.

²⁴ بنوی پسر حیناداد قسمت دیگر دیوار را از خانهٔ عزریا تا گوشهٔ دیوار بازسازی کرد.

²⁵Palal the son of Uzai made repairs opposite the turning of the wall, and the tower that stands out from the upper house of the king, which is by the court of the guard. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh made repairs.

²⁵ فلال پسر اوزای از گوشهٔ دیوار تا بُرج کاخ بالایی شاهنشاه را که نزدیک حیاط نگهبانان است، ساخت. قسمت بعدی را فدایا پسر فرعوش بازسازی کرد.

²⁶(Now the Nethinim lived in Ophel, to the place over against the water gate toward the east, and the tower that stands out.)

²⁶ این قسمت تا نقطه‌ای در شرق، نزدیک به دروازهٔ آب و بُرج نگاهبانی معبد بزرگ بود. (نزدیک قسمتی از شهر که آنجا را اوفل می‌خواندند؛ جایی که خدمتگزاران معبد بزرگ زندگی می‌کردند.)

²⁷After him the Tekoites repaired another portion, over against the great tower that stands out, and to the wall of Ophel.

²⁷ پس از آن مردم تقوع قسمت دیگری از دیوار را بنا کردند، این دومین کار آنان محسوب می‌شدکه روبه‌روی بُرج بزرگ نگهبانی معبد بزرگ تا نزدیک عوفل بود.

²⁸Above the horse gate, the priests made repairs, everyone across from his own house.

²⁸ گروهی از کاهنان، قسمت بعدی دیوار را از دروازهٔ اسب به طرف شمال بازسازی کردند. هریک از آنان دیوار جلوی خانهٔ خود را ساخت.

²⁹After them, Zadok the son of Immer made repairs across from his own house. After him, Shemaiah the son of Shecaniah, the keeper of the east gate made repairs.

²⁹ صادوق پسر امیر نیز دیوار جلوی خانهٔ خود را بنا کرد، قسمت بعدی را شمحیا، پسر شکُنیا نگهبان دروازهٔ شرقی، بنا کرد.

³⁰After him, Hananiah the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph, repaired another portion. After him, Meshullam the son of Berechiah made repairs across from his room.

³⁰ حننیا پسر شلمیا و حانون پسر ششم صالاف، قسمت دیگر را ترمیم کردند. این دومین کار آنان محسوب می‌شد. مشلام پسر برکیا دیوار روبه‌روی خانهٔ خود را بنا کرد.

³¹After him, Malchijah one of the goldsmiths to the house of the Nethinim, and of the merchants, made repairs over against the gate of Hammiphkad, and to the ascent of the corner.

³¹ ملکیای زرگر قسمت دیگر دیوار را تا ساختمانی که کارگران معبد بزرگ و بازرگانان از آن استفاده می‌کردند که روبه‌روی دروازهٔ گردهمآیی معبد بزرگ و نزدیک اتاقی که در گوشهٔ شمال شرقی دیوار بود، ساخت. زرگران و بازرگانان قسمت آخر دیوار را تا گوشهٔ دروازهٔ گوسفند ساختند.

³²Between the ascent of the corner and the sheep gate, the goldsmiths and the merchants made repairs.
