¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹ خداوند به موسی فرمود: «دو شیپور از نقره بساز و از آنها برای جمع کردن و کوچ دادن قوم اسرائیل استفاده کن.

²“Make two trumpets of silver. You shall make them of beaten work. You shall use them for the calling of the congregation, and for the journeying of the camps.

² زمانی‌که هر دو شیپور نواخته شوند، همهٔ مردم اسرائیل باید در جلوی در ورودی خیمهٔ عبادت اجتماع کنند.

³When they blow them, all the congregation shall gather themselves to you at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

³ امّا وقتی‌که یک شیپور نواخته شود، تنها رهبران خاندان‌های اسرائیل پیش تو جمع شوند.

⁴If they blow just one, then the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves to you.

⁴ هنگامی‌که شیپور نواخته شود، طایفه‌هایی که در سمت شرق خیمهٔ عبادت هستند کوچ کنند.

⁵When you blow an alarm, the camps that lie on the east side shall go forward.

⁵ بار دوم که شیپور نواخته شود، طایفه‌‌های سمت جنوب خیمه حرکت کنند.

⁶When you blow an alarm the second time, the camps that lie on the south side shall go forward. They shall blow an alarm for their journeys.

⁶ شیپورها باید با صداهای مختلف نواخته شوند تا مردم بتوانند تشخیص بدهند که جمع شوند و یا کوچ کنند.

⁷But when the assembly is to be gathered together, you shall blow, but you shall not sound an alarm.

⁷ تنها پسران هارون که کاهن هستند، باید شیپورها را بنوازند. «این یک قانون همیشگی است که باید شما و نسلهای آیندهٔ شما آن را رعایت کنید.

⁸“The sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets. This shall be to you for a statute forever throughout your generations.

⁸ وقتی در سرزمین خود، برای جنگ علیه دشمنانی که به شما حمله می‌کنند بروید، باید شیپورها را بنوازید، آنگاه در حضور خداوند به یاد آورده خواهید شد و از دشمنان نجات خواهید یافت.

⁹When you go to war in your land against the adversary who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets. Then you will be remembered before Yahweh your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.

⁹ همچنین در روزهای خوشی، یعنی در مراسم برگزاری عید، اول هر ماه و در وقت تقدیم کردن قربانی‌های سوختنی و قربانی‌های سلامتی هم، این شیپورها را بنوازید تا شما را به‌یاد من بیاورند، زیرا من، خداوند خدای شما می‌باشم.»

¹⁰“Also in the day of your gladness, and in your set feasts, and in the beginnings of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God. I am Yahweh your God.”

¹⁰ در بیستم ماه دوم سال دوم، ابر از بالای خیمهٔ عبادت حرکت کرد.

¹¹It happened in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, that the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle of the testimony.

¹¹ قوم اسرائیل هم به ترتیب از صحرای سینا به دنبال آن به راه افتادند تا اینکه ابر در صحرای فاران توقّف نمود.

¹²The children of Israel went forward according to their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud stayed in the wilderness of Paran.

¹² آنها به دستور خداوند توسط موسی کوچ کردند.

¹³They first went forward according to the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.

¹³ ابتدا طایفهٔ یهودا، زیر پرچم خود و به رهبری نحشون، پسر عمیناداب، به راه افتاد.

¹⁴First, the standard of the camp of the children of Judah went forward according to their armies. Nahshon the son of Amminadab was over his army.

¹⁴ بعد طایفهٔ یساکار به سرکردگی نتنائیل، پسر صوغر

¹⁵Nethanel the son of Zuar was over the army of the tribe of the children of Issachar.

¹⁵ و سپس طایفهٔ زبولون به رهبری الیاب، پسر حیلون روانه شدند.

¹⁶Eliab the son of Helon was over the army of the tribe of the children of Zebulun.

¹⁶ وقتی‌که خیمهٔ عبادت را جمع کردند، جرشونیان و مراریان، از طايفهٔ لاوی، که مسئول حمل آن بودند، خیمه را برداشتند و به راه افتادند.

¹⁷The tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who bore the tabernacle, went forward.

¹⁷ پس از آن طایفهٔ رئوبین، زیر پرچم خود و به سرکردگی الیصور، پسر شدیئور کوچ کرد.

¹⁸The standard of the camp of Reuben went forward according to their armies. Elizur the son of Shedeur was over his army.

¹⁸ پشت سر آنها طایفهٔ شمعون به رهبری شلومیئیل، پسر صوریشدای به راه افتاد.

¹⁹Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai was over the army of the tribe of the children of Simeon.

¹⁹ به دنبال آنها، طایفهٔ جاد به سرکردگی الیاساف، پسر دعوئیل رفت.

²⁰Eliasaph the son of Deuel was over the army of the tribe of the children of Gad.

²⁰ آنگاه قهاتیان آماده حرکت شدند، و وسایل و لوازم مقدّس را برداشته، به راه افتادند. خیمهٔ عبادت می‌بایست پیش از رسیدن آنها برپا شود.

²¹The Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary. The others set up the tabernacle before they arrived.

²¹ سپس طایفهٔ افرایم زیر پرچم خود و به سرکردگی الیشمع، پسر عمیهود حرکت کرد.

²²The standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies. Elishama the son of Ammihud was over his army.

²² بعد از آن، نوبت طایفهٔ منسی رسید که به رهبری جملیئیل، پسر فدهصور کوچ کند.

²³Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur was over the army of the tribe of the children of Manasseh.

²³ به دنبال آنها، طایفهٔ بنیامین به رهبری ابیدان، پسر جدعونی حرکت کرد.

²⁴Abidan the son of Gideoni was over the army of the tribe of the children of Benjamin.

²⁴ پشت سر آنها، طایفهٔ دان زیر پرچم خود و به سرکردگی اخیعزر، پسر عمیشدای به راه افتاد.

²⁵The standard of the camp of the children of Dan, which was the rear guard of all the camps, set forward according to their armies. Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai was over his army.

²⁵ سپس طایفهٔ اشیر به سرکردگی فجیعیئیل، پسر عکران،

²⁶Pagiel the son of Ochran was over the army of the tribe of the children of Asher.

²⁶ و در پایان طایفهٔ نفتالی به رهبری اخیرع، پسر عینان حرکت کرد.

²⁷Ahira the son of Enan was over the army of the tribe of the children of Naphtali.

²⁷ سفر طایفه‌های اسرائیل دسته به دسته به این ترتیب بود.

²⁸Thus were the travels of the children of Israel according to their armies; and they went forward.

²⁸ موسی به برادر زن خود، حوباب، پسر رعوئیل مدیانی گفت: «ما به سرزمینی که خداوند به ما وعده داده است خواهیم رفت، تو هم با ما بیا و از تو به خوبی نگهداری می‌کنیم، خداوند به قوم اسرائیل وعده‌های بسیار خوب داده است.»

²⁹Moses said to Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law, “We are journeying to the place of which Yahweh said, ‘I will give it to you.’ Come with us, and we will treat you well; for Yahweh has spoken good concerning Israel.”

²⁹ امّا او در جواب موسی گفت: «من نمی‌آیم و می‌خواهم به وطن خود و پیش خویشاوندان خود بازگردم.»

³⁰He said to him, “I will not go; but I will depart to my own land, and to my relatives.”

³⁰ موسی گفت: «خواهش می‌کنم ما را ترک مکن. تو می‌دانی ما کجا می‌توانیم در این بیابان اردو بزنیم و تو می‌توانی راهنمای ما باشی.

³¹He said, “Don’t leave us, please; because you know how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and you can be our eyes.

³¹ اگر همراه ما بیایی، برکاتی که خدا به ما می‌دهد، نصیب تو هم می‌شود.»

³²It shall be, if you go with us, yes, it shall be, that whatever good Yahweh does to us, we will do the same to you.”

³² پس از ترک کوه سینا، مدّت سه روز درحالی‌که صندوق پیمان خداوند پیشاپیش قوم اسرائیل بود، راه می‌رفتند تا به جایی رسیدند که برای توقّف آنها تعیین شده بود.

³³They set forward from the Mount of Yahweh three days’ journey. The ark of the covenant of Yahweh went before them three days’ journey, to seek out a resting place for them.

³³ هنگامی‌که سفر می‌کردند، ابر خداوند در طول روز بالای سرشان سایه می‌انداخت.

³⁴The cloud of Yahweh was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.

³⁴ هرگاه صندوق پیمان حرکت می‌کرد، موسی می‌گفت: «خداوندا، برخیز، دشمنانت پراکنده شوند و بدخواهانت از حضورت فرار کنند.» هنگامی‌که صندوق پیمان توقّف می‌نمود، موسی می‌گفت: «ای خداوند، نزد هزاران اسرائیلی بازگرد.»

³⁵It happened, when the ark went forward, that Moses said, “Rise up, Yahweh, and let your enemies be scattered! Let those who hate you flee before you!”

³⁵ هنگامی‌که صندوق پیمان توقّف می‌نمود، موسی می‌گفت: «ای خداوند، نزد هزاران اسرائیلی بازگرد.»

³⁶When it rested, he said, “Return, Yahweh, to the ten thousands of the thousands of Israel.”
